It all started three months ago: Gossip Cop launched this day in July with an announcement on Good Morning America. Since then we have been fortunate enough to receive a ton of press coverage.

Gossip Cop felt from the beginning that people wanted the truth in celebrity reporting. Fortunately, we were right, and we will continue with all our stories to try to be right.

We would to thank all the celebrities, their friends, and the stars reps who decided that enough is enough. And to all those media outlets that still file false reports, Gossip Cop has you under surveillance and the heat is on!

And we thank you all for coming back to Gossip Cop day after day. We truly appreciate your support, loyalty and opinions. Please spread the word about Gossip Cop, and well go on busting bad dish!

Sean Penn left his search for Fidel Castro in Cuba to meet with the equally controversial Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.

Chavez told the nation’s television station that during a meeting with Pennyesterdaythe Oscar winner said he was very interested in a film project … that would most likely be shot in part in Venezuela.”

Chavez, who called Penn a “friend of just causes,” said the actor wants to shoot a film based on the 1953 novel “The Lost Steps” by Cuban writer Alejo Carpentier. Much of the novels plot takes place in the forests of Venezuela.

This was the second time Penn has met with Chavez. Back in 2007, Penn traveled to Venezuela as a freelance journalist.

Gossip Cop can only imagine where Penn will pop up next.
