Three weeks ago, the History Channel dropped the miniseriesThe Kennedys - starringKatie Holmes as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis andGreg Kinnear as President John F. Kennedy – reportedly due to political pressure.
Right after the History Channel balked, there was talk Showtime would pick up the eight-part film, but the cable network ultimately passed on the project.
Now there’s word that Tribune Broadcasting is interested in the miniseries, and might air it in syndication on its affiliates, including those in the country’s major markets, reports Deadline.
Shortly after the History Channel passed on the miniseries, the film’s producers said in a statement: We are proud of the work all of our talent put into the making ofThe Kennedys and the painstaking efforts that went into creating a drama that is compelling while rich in historic detail.”
Although we regret this does not fit into the History Channels plans, we are confident that television viewers in the United States will join viewers from around the world in having an opportunity to watch this series in the near future.
The project also starsBarry Pepper as Robert Kennedy andTom Wilkinson as family patriarch Joseph Kennedy.

It looks like it was a VERY last-minute move to enter rehab on Charlie Sheen’s part; just before it was announced that the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star was checking into an undisclosed facility, he sent a text to a senior editor at Radar Online.
“I’m fine,” Sheen toldRadarOnline‘s Senior Executive EditorDylan Howard via text message on Friday afternoon…
“People don’t seem to get it…. Guy can’t have a great time and do his job also?”
TheTwo and a Half Men star finished the text with a characterization of his detractors: Bunch of turds.
Ooookay. Denial is part of the illness of addiction.
Well, I’m glad someone was able to get through to Charlie. All these hospital visits suggest something was negatively affecting his health. Eventually it could’ve been something fatal.
Hopefully rehab will help him.
