Rogue One is not only winning the New Year’s weekend box office, but it’s also on track to become the second highest-grossing film of 2016. Get the details, and check out the Top 10 estimates below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opened in theaters two weeks ago, and has dominated its film competition ever since. Now, after conquering the Christmas weekend box office, the movie will without a doubt win the New Year’s battle, too, with $ 50.8 million. But more impressive is that by Saturday’s end, it should overtake Captain America: Civil War ($ 408 million) to be the year’s second-biggest flick ($ 409 million), behind Finding Dory ($ 486.3 million). Incredibly, the milestone took only days to reach.

Like last week, Sing should nab the number two spot, this time with $ 42.5 million. And though Passengers, starring Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence, has had a disappointing run, its $ 15.5 million haul will be good enough to land in third. With $ 10.4 million in ticket sales, Moana is projected to rank fourth.

In fifth place will probably be Fences, if the critically-acclaimed film brings in receipts worth $ 9.9 million. Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling’s La La Land, widely celebrated as the best movie of the year, should be right behind with $ 9.4 million for the number six spot. And Why Him? may have a seventh-place finish with $ 8.6 million.

Possibly rounding out the Top 10 are Assassin’s Creed ($ 7.9 million), Manchester By The Sea ($ 4 million), and Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them ($ 3.9 million). All figures are currently estimates, and Gossip Cop will have updates. Happy New Year!

Kim Kardashian is NOT in a “cheating scandal,” despite a ridiculous report. Gossip Cop can debunk the sensational story.

Earlier this month, a false rumor wrongly linked Kardashian to football player Marquette King. Gossip Cop busted the untrue allegation, and King himself also denied the claim. And that was that… until RadarOnline randomly decided to revive the erroneous assertion on Friday, nearly three weeks after it initially surfaced.

First, the webloid ran a headline blaring, “Kanye’s Worst Nightmare! Kim Caught In Cheating Scandal With NFL Star.” The story was all about Kanye West’s supposed reaction to the weeks-old, meritless rumor. Then, a few hours later came this follow-up story: “Boobs Alert! Kim Flashes Her Cleavage To Distract From Cheating Scandal.”

Um, what? The site writes, “Hermit Kim Kardashian has emerged from her self-imposed exile! Despite a brewing cheating scandal and rumors she’s set to divorce hubby Kanye West, the ‘KUWTK’ star made time for a secret outing.” That certainly sounds salacious.

But all Kardashian did was visit the newborn twins recently birthed by close friend and family stylist Joyce Bonelli. She posed for a photo while the baby boys rested in her arms. And that’s it. Kardashian, of course, is not “flash[ing]” her cleavage in the picture (see below), nor did she take the snapshot to “distract” from a “cheating scandal.”

There IS NO “cheating scandal.” RadarOnline is simply manufacturing one to give the appearance of drama. As Gossip Cop has noted, the bad blog spent most of 2016 wrongly claiming a Kardashian-West divorce was imminent. This is just the outlet’s latest angle, one as untrue as all the rest. Lovely to see the webloid ending the year on yet another low note.

It’s never easy losing loved ones, especially when it’s your mother and your sister.

On Friday’s episode of 20/20, Todd Fisher tells ABC News that it was his mother Debbie Reynolds‘ “destiny” to be with Carrie Fisher after the Star Wars actress passed away on Tuesday following a heart attack on a plane.

He said:

“From the family’s perspective, this is Debbie’s destiny… She didn’t want to leave Carrie and did not want to her to be alone.”

While we assume Debbie was absolutely distraught after losing her daughter, Todd paints a different picture.

“It wasn’t that [Reynolds] was sitting around inconsolable, not at all… She simply said that she didn’t get to see Carrie come back from London, she expressed how much she loved my sister… She then said she really wanted to be with Carrie… In those precise words, and within 15 minutes from that conversation she faded out and within 30 minutes, she technically was gone.”

Although the family is mourning the loss of the two actresses, they take comfort knowing they are together.

“We’re broken-hearted, those of us that are left behind… We also are happy that they’re together. It’s horrible, it’s beautiful, it’s magical they are together, it’s beyond words, it’s beyond understanding.”

At least Ryan Seacrest has a good sense of humor!

On Friday, Ryan was on his way to Good Morning America‘s studios in Times Square when fate intervened and stopped his elevator right below the famous Waterford Crystal triangle loaded New Year’s Eve ball. It’s pretty ironic considering Seacrest will be hosting New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on Saturday night alongside Jenny McCarthy!

While it’s unclear what caused the host’s elevator to stop midway, the 42-year-old handled the situation with good humor and grace. What else can you do, right?!

T.I.’s wife Tiny has in fact filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences after the couple has not been together in “a very long time”.

Sources close to the couple say the last straw for T.I. was when Tiny posed with Floyd Mayweather at Mariah Carey’s Halloween bash. T.I. and Floyd have had major beef for a long time.

Those close to the couple say that: “This has been a long time coming, as the couple has not “been” with each other in forever, they don’t even talk anymore unless it’s an argument”.

There is also talk of infidelity on both sides, that has made the jealousy in the relationship just to much to deal with anymore.

Whether you knew it or not, Robert Leo Hulseman has had an impact on your life.

On December 21 of this year, the creator of the Red Solo Cup passed away at the age of 84. According to his obituary, he died peacefully and was surrounded by family.

When he was only 18 years old, he began working at his father’s company — the Solo Cup Company — where he eventually became President and CEO before retiring.

Additionally, the Northfield, IL-resident supported a variety of charities related to Catholic education and anti-poverty initiatives.

He was married to his late wife Sheila Murphy Hulseman for nearly 60 years.

R.I.P. Robert.

The 36-year-old software sales executive from Milwaukee, Wisconsin sat down with PEOPLE on Wednesday where he confirmed those previous reports that he’s falling for more than one contestant, saying:

“It’s truly amazing. I felt a lot of different feelings.”

Awwwww!

But how many are we talkin’, Nick?!

“Early on, with so many women, you obviously don’t know a lot of things about them, but talking to all of them and wanting to make it meaningful to all of them is very physically taxing. And then as time goes on, it becomes more emotionally taxing and less physically taxing. And you get to know these women, there’s a level of respect. You’re asking them to do things they’ve never been able to do and to face stressful situations and their fears… And it’s a weird environment, but the only way it works is if you give yourself to the process and allow it to work, because it’s not normal. By doing that, I think you really make yourself vulnerable in opening yourself up emotionally.”

We guess we’ll just have to watch to find out!

Usher is NOT doing “Dancing with the Stars,” despite a report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct a story falsely claiming he has joined the new season.

The erroneous allegation comes from The Jasmine Brand, which is reporting that Usher has been “cast on the upcoming season of ‘Dancing With the Stars’” and “will be on season 24 of ABC’s hit dancing competition show.” A supposed source is quoted as saying, “The producers and network are keeping it top secret, but this is major!”

“They wanted an A-lister and he’s one of the biggest names in the industry. Not to mention, Usher is an amazing dancer,” claims the outlet’s tipster. The blog further says, “We hear that Usher has already began shooting promos for the show. The network and producers are still working on finalizing other big names for the new season.”

But that last line is the only remotely accurate part of the site’s story. Producers are indeed lining up names for the next season, which is slated to premiere in March. But it is 100 percent false that Usher has signed up to be a part of it.

A rep for the star exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “This is absolutely not true. He has no plans to be on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’” Usher has previously made an appearance on the program as a guest performer. But he has no intention of putting on his dancing shoes as a contestant.
