Georgina Callander, who was killed in the Manchester bombing, is being mourned by the cast of “Once Upon A Time.” The actors met the teen just last month.
As Gossip Cop reported, on Monday an Ariana Grande concert was rocked by an explosion that left 22 people dead and at least 59 injured. The first identified victim was Callander. The 18-year-old previously met Grande at a meet-and-greet, and also spent time with the stars of “Once Upon A Time” at a fan convention just weeks ago. Now they are expressing shock and sadness over her tragic passing.
Sharing on Twitter photos they took together, Emilie de Ravin tweeted, “RIP @emiliesatwell remember meeting her last month. Beautiful, sweet girl. She gave me the most lovely letter…at a loss 4 words #Manchester.” The former “Lost” actress also wrote on Instagram, “RIP Georgina you beautiful soul…words can’t express my anger and sadness towards the people involved in planning and carrying out the attack last night in #Manchester.”
“[Heartbroken] is an understatement. My love and courage goes out to Georgina’s family and friends and to all the families and friends of the victims last night. Praying for eternal peace for Georgina and all involved… xoxo,” de Ravin added. Her “Lost” and “OUAT” co-star Rebecca Mader retweeted photos Callander had posted from their meeting, writing, “I am heartbroken to wake up to learn Georgina was taken from us in Manchester. R.I.P Georgina. You were such a special girl. I’ll miss you.”
Mader further posted on Instagram, “I can’t believe Georgina was one of the victims in Manchester… I am so heartbroken. She was so sweet and kind. Her smile lit up the room. I’m sending love to all that knew and loved her.” Lana Parilla, who also met Callander, expressed, “We lost a ONCE fan, @emiliesatwell , in the #manchesterexplosion last night. Devestating. RIP sweet Georgina.” Fellow cast member Faustino Di Bauda also tweeted, “Georgina was taken suddenly without reason. Loved and missed by many. RIP @emiliesatwell #manchesterattack #OncersMessagesForGeorgina.
Karen David, another “Once Upon A Time” cast member who met Callander, also shared a photo and tribute on Instagram. “I’m deeply saddened to hear that this sweet, and beautiful lady, Georgina, who I had the pleasure of meeting and talking to for awhile, only a couple of weeks ago at #SBUK3 was one of the innocent victims in tonight’s atrocity in Manchester,” she said.
The actress went on, “It’s not fair, it’s not right. It makes me so angry and it breaks my heart that such a young and promising life has been stolen away! But I refuse to give in to hatred. I continue to choose love. I continue to choose unity because when we join together, we are strong! We will not be afraid. Dearest Georgina, may your kind soul rest in peace. Heaven has gained an angel… My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and your friends.”
“Saddened to hear about the death of Oncer @emiliesatwell last night!! No words! #thoughtswithmanchester,” said Colin O’Donoghue. Michael Coleman commented, “Can’t stop thinking about you today @emiliesatwell Your smile, love, and kindness made this world a better place <3.” He added, “#Oncers often use cast pics as their profile pic to show love & respect. Today I do so for one of brightest Oncers we had in this fandom. <3.”
