Gwen Stefani’s kids are not pressuring Blake Shelton to propose to their mom, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this made-up story. We’re told it’s not true.

According to HollywoodLife, which has a track record for publishing inaccurate stories about the couple, Stefani’s three boys love Shelton so much, and want him to be their stepdad, that they’re “coming up with ways” to get him to propose to their mother. A so-called “source” allegedly tells the website, “Gwen’s kids are starting to drop subtle hints to Blake that they would love it if he would marry their mom.” The same unnamed “source” relates, “They tell Blake that they love him… and make it known to him that they wish he was their stepdad.” “The older boys are confused as to why mom and Blake aren’t married already,” adds the questionable tipster.

Of course, HollywoodLies, as it’s also known, doesn’t offer any specifics about how Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9, or Apollo, 4 are dropping “subtle hints” or “coming up with ways” for Shelton to propose. Nor does the often discredited outlet offer any insight into how Shelton supposedly responds to the youngsters wondering why he and Stefani “aren’t married already.” And the reason the site can’t furnish any details is because the entire article is a fabrication.

While the outlet’s claims come from an unidentifiable and possibly nonexistent “source,” Stefani’s rep told Gossip Cop on the record that the story is untrue and even questioned, “Do kids even think about that stuff?” No, they don’t. But grownups pretending to journalists might.

Interestingly, noting how many falsehoods are told about him by places like HollywoodLies, Shelton recently tweeted, “99% of the things you read about [me] on social media or the internet isn’t true. It’s actually disturbing. I rarely even look at it anymore because I know it’s mostly fake.”

So, here is what’s really going on. Last week, Stefani was on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” and said she thinks “all the time” about marrying Shelton. And when asked a few days later by CMT’s Cody Alan about her remarks, Shelton said he also thinks about marrying Stefani, but stressed, “I don’t think it’s anytime soon or anything.” Those very public remarks appear to have led HollywoodLies to manufacture its angle with Stefani’s kids.

And while Gossip Cop fact-checked the blog’s report, and transparently noted that we contacted Stefani’s rep, there’s nothing to indicate from HollywoodLies’s article that it investigated its supposed source’s claims. It either simply made up the untraceable tipster’s quotations, as it’s been caught doing in the past, or it didn’t bother to question the alleged insider’s remarks. None of this, however, surprises Gossip Cop, given how many times we’ve busted that site for publishing fake news about the couple.

Remember, this is all coming from the same outlet that wrongly reported in October 2017 that Shelton and Stefani were engaged because she wore a diamond ring. It’s also the site we busted when it falsely asserted Shelton was going to propose on Valentine’s Day. Much like those and many other articles, the latest one about Stefani’s kids pressuring Shelton to pop the question to their mom is also untrue.

Scary!

New unearthed tweets reveal that Smallville actress Allison Mack reached out to Emma Watson and Kelly Clarkson to invite them to her controversial self-help group/alleged sex cult Nxivm.

As we reported, the leader of the group, Keith Raniere, was recently slapped with sex trafficking and forced labor conspiracy charges after being arrested in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and extradited to Fort Worth, Texas. Mack allegedly helps Raniere recruit for DOS, the supposed secret inner circle of NXIVM, which has been accused of branding, starving, and beating members, especially when they don’t recruit “slaves” for their organization.

As such, the 35-year-old actress was arrested on Friday and charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, and forced labor in conspiracy in connection with Nxivm.

Back in 2016, Mack tried to contact the Harry Potter alum about an “amazing women’s movement” that she thought “she’d dig.”

She wrote:

“.@EmWatson I’m a fellow actress like yourself & involved in an amazing women’s movement I think you’d dig. I’d love to chat if you’re open.”

After getting no response, she messaged again a month later:

“.@EmWatson I participate in a unique human development & women’s movement I’d love to tell you about. As a fellow actress I can relate so well to your vision and what you want to see in the world. I think we could work together. Let me know if you’re willing to chat.”

On International Women’s Day of that year, she tried again:

Three years before that, Mack tried getting in touch with the American Idol alum, trying to reel her in because of her connection to Smallville:

Wow. Fortunately neither celeb responded… publicly, anyway.

According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of New York, Mack was allegedly “one of the women in the first level of the pyramid immediately below Raniere.” She faces a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison if convicted on all of her charges.

The statement says Mack had “slaves” underneath her and “directly or implicitly required” two women “to engage in sexual activity with Raniere”:

“In exchange, for this, Mack received financial and other benefits from Raniere.”

Last reporting said Mack is engaged in plea deal negotiations, and she is due in court on May 3. We’ll keep you posted.

We’re all familiar with the fact that celebrities seem to be treated differently than the average joe. Magazines seem to always be publishing the latest stories about their lavish lives and special privileges.

Being a celebrity, however, doesn’t just stop at having more privileges than most of us. They are also often seen as above the law and get away with crimes that an everyday person would have been charged with much more severely.

Here are some of the most common crimes that celebrities get away with.

Murder (Literally)

There are plenty of stories throughout the years of celebrities getting away with murder despite heavy evidence clearly showing that they were likely guilty.

Since celebrities can afford to hire the best lawyers in town and law enforcement is often starry-eyed upon coming across them, they are often permitted to get away with things that they shouldn’t have.

Most people have heard about the OJ Simpson case in which he infamously got away as not guilty when the majority of the world agreed he was undoubtedly guilty of murdering his wife.

Less known, however, is when Matthew Broderick, the actor well known for his starring role in the cult classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, killed two passengers of a car while committing a driving infraction in Northern Ireland.

A mother and daughter in the other vehicle struck by his were pronounced immediately dead at the scene as a cause of his reckless driving. Shockingly, he wasn’t charged and got away with a fine of only $ 175.

Sexual Harassment

Although this is now starting to change in Hollywood as people are taking a stand against silence, there are decades of history of sexual harassment from stars.

Inappropriate advances from stars are often overlooked because of their status, and people may be too afraid to go to the authorities because of their social power.

Assault

From aggressing paparazzi to getting into fist fights with overzealous fans, celebrities have been known for assaulting people without being charged for it.

This special treatment is often the case because people are intimidated by stars or hold them in a special category because of their fame. However, most people can agree that intentional violence should be treated equally for everyone regardless of social status.

Drinking And Driving

Despite all of the money in the world, for some reason, celebrities just can’t seem to figure out this drinking and driving thing. You’d think they’d be able to hire a driver or pay for a taxi with a couple million bucks in the bank, yet we hear about some celebrity being charged with a DUI almost every week.

Not only are their charges often dropped, their sentences aren’t even served completely.

Angelina Jolie did not have a British boyfriend one year ago today or anytime since then, despite a slew of completely untrue reports that misled the public. At the time, a source close to the actress disclosed to Gossip Cop on the condition of anonymity that Jolie called the claims “untrue” when made aware of them. Now a full 12 months have passed and the overwhelming evidence since then proves once again that Gossip Cop’s impeccable insider was right about Jolie not dating a mystery man and that the outlets which duped search engines were outright lying.

Exactly 365 days ago, if one were to have searched “Angelina Jolie,” the results yielded was a story from The Hindustan Times with the headline, “Angelina Jolie is marrying ‘British man’ and Brad Pitt finds it ‘sickening;” a HollywoodLife story titled, “Angelina Jolie’s Secret Romance: Inside Her Private Malibu Rendezvous With New Man;” and and India.com piece, “Brad Pitt’s ex-wife Angelina Jolie is dating a British entrepreneur?” (See screenshot below.) Of course, Jolie was not Pitt’s ex-wife then, nor is she now since the two are still working out a divorce agreement.

That, however, was the least of the site’s problems. Its first big mistake was relying on information from HollywoodLife, a site so well-known for making up phony stories that it’s widely nicknamed HollywoodLies. In fact, that often discredited site was the basis for all three of the fake news stories in search a year ago today. At the heart of the three articles was the made-up narrative that Jolie was involved with a “secret” lover from England, with whom she carried on a torrid romance at a home she was renting in Malibu.

Significantly, while all three tall tales maintained they had details about Jolie’s alleged trysts and her “British entrepreneur” boyfriend, not one had a name for this manufactured man. Nor did any of the outlets offer any description of the actress’s supposed boyfriend. Was he in his thirties, forties or eighties? Was he short or as tall as Sasquatch? Did he have hair and, if so, was it brown, black, blond, or dyed purple? And yet, even though HollywoodLies couldn’t furnish one specific about this guy, the website falsely asserted it had “the romantic details” about what had “been happening all behind closed doors.” In reality, it was all just fake news.

As Gossip Cop likes to remind its readers, time is not the friend of outlets that lie because the truth eventually emerges. In this case, we rightly reported, based on information told to us on background from a source close to Jolie that the rumors about her dating and having a British boyfriend were “untrue.” We even pointed out at the time, “she’s made it very clear that the reports were fabricated and that her sole focus is on her six kids.”

While not addressing the bogus British gentleman stories, several months later People noted Jolie was not dating anyone nor was she interested in being involved. And just a month ago, after it was wrongly alleged the Oscar winner was seeing an unnamed real estate agent, that same credible outlet confirmed our reporting, with a source stating, “[Jolie] is absolutely not seeing anyone and will not be.” Much as we stated a year ago, the insider added, “She will focus only on [her] children and being with them.”

So, in the time that it took the Earth to once more revolve around the Sun, search engines and visitors got burned by a slew of fictitious articles from untrustworthy outlets about Jolie having a wealthy, secret British boyfriend. Not once in the entire year, however, did anyone ever identify this (fictitious) guy. Not surprisingly, HollywoodLies spun a slew of “exclusive” lies about the actress’s mythical millionaire, including that Jolie was “prepping for a wedding” with him at the new home she had bought in Los Angeles. Of course, Gossip Cop debunked that falsehood and all the other fake news it concocted about Jolie and her nonexistent British beau.

A story about how Brad Pitt “can’t get enough” of Neri Oxman is untrue. Gossip Cop can correct this claim about them already “getting serious.” We’re told it’s overblown.

According to Life & Style, Pitt is “hot for teacher,” referring of course to Oxman, who’s a professor at MIT. The tabloid maintains that it “isn’t just a fling” and that “after five months of dating, Brad and Neri are getting serious.” A so-called “insider“ goes on to assert, “They can’t get enough of each other.“ The alleged source claims, “They’ve had a number of romantic weekends in Boston,” and when they’re not together, “they’re blowing up each other‘s cell phones.”

The questionable “insider” further contends, “When they met – boom! There was instant chemistry.” The tabloid then states without any proof, “Some of Brad’s friends… are starting to think Neri is the woman he’s meant to be with.” Naturally, the magazine doesn’t mention who any of these supposed “friends” are. Outlets tend to vaguely offer what “friends” say or think as a way of getting around ownership for their phony statements or providing any evidence.

Regardless, this article can be fairly easily debunked. For instance, while the tabloid claims, “They’ve had a number of romantic weekends in Boston,” Pitt and Oxman have actually only been pictured once and that was when he first met the professor and one of her classes at MIT last November. The actor stood next to Oxman and a group of her students when her visited the school to discuss a collaborative project. The reality is, however, that he has “barely ever seen” her, a Pitt confidante tells Gossip Cop.

Meanwhile, Pitt’s rep has previously assured us on the record that he’s not dating Oxman. And while Pitt is “happier” these days after his split from Angelina Jolie, as People recently noted, “There hasn’t been any talk about a special someone” in his life. And far from “blowing up each other’s cell phones,” as maintained by Life & Style, Pitt’s rep acknowledges “they talk,” but it’s not the romance it’s been portrayed by many in the media.

Actually Page Six, which broke the news about Pitt and the MIT professor spending time together, accurately reported that while they share a mutual love and interest in architecture and design, “Their friendship has not turned into romance.” It’s conceivable that the actor and the professor’s professional relationship could morph one day into something more, but his rep recently told us that a similar narrative from Us Weekly about how Pitt was “smitten” with Oxman is an “exaggeration.”

The tabloid doesn’t have a stellar track record with Pitt and women. Last summer, the magazine falsely reported the actor and Sienna Miller were “heating up.” And before that misfire, the publication ran a provably untrue cover story about how Pitt and Jolie were “back together again.” While the tabloid now wrongly maintains Pitt “can’t get enough” of Oxman, it certainly doesn’t have enough on-the-record sourcing or proof.

Looks like business as usual (or… mostly usual) for Jenna Dewan!

The 37-year-old actress got back to her old ways on Friday night, making her first red carpet appearance since announcing publicly a few weeks ago that she’d split from ex Channing Tatum.

And now, the recently re-titled Dewan (no Tatum!) resurfaced last night at the 2018 St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital‘s Hope & Heritage Gala, where she was awarded as their Humanitarian Of The Year.

As you can see (above), Dewan opted for a floral look on the red carpet, and she was plainly all smiles as she made her way down the carpet to the event! No wedding ring on, of course — though that’s not big news any more, considering the actress had stopped wearing it a while ago…

Oprah is easily one of the richest women in the world, and her home absolutely reflects her financial dominance. Oprah owns more than one home, of course, but she recently purchased an estate in Montecito, California for the cool cost of just under $ 30 million.

The main house of the property is 4,750 square feet, and sports 10 fireplaces, 14 bathrooms, and 6 bedrooms. Imagine the cost of replacing that roof. The queen of daytime talk shows also invested in renovations of the property, boosting its worth to $ 85 million.

Ellen and Portia

Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi have made their property a cozy home for the whole family, including their furry friends. They just recently sold the property for just over $ 45 million to none other than American Idol’s, Ryan Seacrest.

The Tuscan-style villa has over 10,000 square foot of space, and boasts nine fireplaces, eight bathrooms, and six bedrooms. Portia and Ellen are also avid readers, so of course, the estate has several libraries on location.

Hugh Hefner

The most famous mansion in modern history was home to mogul, Hugh Hefner. The property has seen the likes of many celebrities over the years, and still remains one of the most interesting destinations on the map.

Hefner sold the estate for over $ 100 million in 2016, and passed on the history to a new entrepreneur. While the Playboy mansion didn’t come equipped with a slew of bunnies and other beautiful model-quality women, the property is still just as fascinating and exciting as it ever so colorful past.
