Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez Split Rumors

Jennifer Lopez Alex Rodriguez Split Rumors

(Getty Images)

The tabloids frequently report Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are headed for a split. Gossip Cop has debunked many untrue articles about the couple’s romance being in trouble. Here are a few wrong rumors.

Earlier this week, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for inaccurately asserting Lopez was having second thoughts about marrying Rodriguez following some recent cheating allegations against him. The first set of accusations came last month when former MLB player Jose Canseco said Rodriguez was having an affair with his ex-wife, Jessica Canseco, who promptly denied the claim. Shortly afterwards, Playboy model Zoe Gregory contended the Yankees star had propositioned her over texts. The model, however, had zero evidence to corroborate her story.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

The magazine maintained Lopez was ready to call off her engagement over the situation, but a source close to the singer assured us she’s been ignoring the baseless cheating rumors. Just a few days ago, Lopez and Rodriguez were spotted kissing during an outing in New York City. The happy couple has also continued flaunting their love on social media.

Gossip Cop called out NW in January for wrongly reporting Lopez was dumping Rodriguez for ex-fiancé Ben Affleck. The tabloid alleged the singer and the actor were secretly meeting up, and her relationship with the former baseball ball star was “hanging by a thread.” Not only did Affleck’s rep tell us the story was false, but just days before it was published, Lopez and Rodriguez were spotted working out together at a gym in Miami. Rodriguez even shared Instagram videos of their gym session.

One of the publications, Woman’s Day Australia, went so far as to claim in January that Lopez and Rodriguez were “days away from a split.” The often discredited outlet insisted the reason for the impending breakup was the singer’s “controlling ways” and “clinginess,” and Rodriguez’s “roving eye” and “dragging his feet” when it came to proposing. Of course, not only did Rodriguez later pop the question (after six months of planning), but the article’s premise was also untrue when the story was first published. For the past few months, both Rodriguez and Lopez have routinely noted they and their kids were one “family” that was growing closer by the day.

And in October 2018, the National Enquirer claimed Rodriguez felt “trapped” by Lopez and wanted to date other women. The tabloid had one of its untraceable and possibly fictitious sources quoted as saying the former baseball slugger was “feeling very caged” and was “ready to start playing the field again.” While that piece was filled with a slew of odd-sounding quotations that used baseball references, Rodriguez’s rep told Gossip Cop straightforwardly that the article was 100 percent false. Naturally, time once again proved us right. Far from splitting up, Rodriguez and Lopez are now engaged to be married.

Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Got Into Tense Fight After Dropping Kids Off At School?

(Getty Images)

One of this week’s tabloids claims Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner got into a tense fight after dropping their kids off at school. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

“Ben & Jen’s Stroll Takes Nasty Turn!” reads a headline in the latest issue of the National Enquirer. The outlet contends that the ex-spouses got into a “showdown” following a morning school run. According to the magazine, Garner was “clearly irritated” with her ex and the two “appeared to be quarreling” on the sidewalk.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

A so-called “source” tells the outlet, “Nothing’s worse than facing an upset ex-spouse. Ben looked like a sulking teenager as he coped to whatever Jen was annoyed with him about.” The unreliable tabloid provides zero explanation as to what Affleck and Garner’s supposed argument entailed. The article is based on two photos of the exes taking a stroll in Los Angeles, but the images don’t indicate they’re having a fight.

Unfortunately for the Enquirer, the Daily Mail published the full video of Affleck and Garner walking together after taking their kids to school. The footage shows the exes having a very calm conversation before going their separate ways. In fact, the British outlet described the pair as “the picture of amicable exes” and noted they “seem to be getting along swimmingly.”

Despite there being clear-cut evidence proving the exes never battled during their stroll, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Garner, who confirms the tabloid’s report is untrue. The untrustworthy outlet has been caught attempting to stir up nonexistent drama. Anyone with eyes can plainly see that the exes didn’t have any sort of confrontation.

Of course, the Enquirer doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to accurately reporting about the ex-spouses. When Garner finalized her divorce from Affleck last year, the tabloid claimed it was because she’s expecting a baby with boyfriend John Miller. As time has proven, the actress isn’t pregnant.

Back in 2016, Gossip Cop called out the publication for wrongly reporting that Affleck and Garner were calling off their divorce and having another baby together. And shortly before that, we busted the magazine for falsely claiming Affleck and Garner were adopting twins in addition to getting back together. Neither of these bogus storylines ever panned out.

It’s fairly evident at this point that the outlet has zero insight into the relationship between the ex-spouses. This latest article surrounding Affleck and Garner’s imaginary street fight is another example.

Jennifer Lopez Having Second Thoughts About Marrying Alex Rodriguez?

(Getty Images)

A tabloid claims Jennifer Lopez is having second thoughts about marrying Alex Rodriguez in the wake of the cheating allegations against him. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story. There’s no truth to it.

Shortly after the couple announced their engagement in March, Rodriguez’s former MLB rival Jose Canseco accused the former Yankee of having an affair with his ex-wife, Jessica Canseco. Jessica dismissed the claims as “false accusations” and explained that she hasn’t seen Rodriguez in several years. Meanwhile, a source close to Lopez told Gossip Cop she was paying no attention to the unfounded allegations from Canseco, who has a contentious history with Rodriguez.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

Shortly after that, Playboy model Zoe Gregory told the British tabloid the Sun that Rodriguez had sent her dirty texts in the weeks leading up to him proposing to Lopez. The model provided zero evidence to back up her claim, but alleged that the former MLB star propositioned her and asked for “naughty videos.” Gossip Cop was once again told by a Lopez insider that she wasn’t concerned with baseless allegations.

In the time since these uncorroborated cheating rumors emerged, Lopez and Rodriguez have continued showing PDA, gushing about each other in interviews and posting photos together on social media. The newly engaged couple’s relationship is going strong, but that hasn’t stopped the National Enquirer from wrongly reporting they “won’t make it down the aisle.”

A purported insider tells the magazine that Lopez is worried about the recent allegations against her fiancé, and “is really dragging her feet” as a result. The supposed source adds, “She doesn’t want to have a repeat of her wedding fiasco with Ben Affleck! It’ll be the fourth wedding for Jennifer, if she makes it to the altar. Her cold feet need warming!”

Just two days ago, however, Lopez and Rodriguez were spotted sharing a kiss during an outing in New York City. Earlier this week, Lopez shared an Instagram photo of her fiancé and her two kids goofing around in the backseat of their car. The singer captioned the image, “I love you… #familia.” These are just the most recent examples of how the singer and the former MLB star have displayed their love for the world.

Despite it being clear there are no issues between the happy couple, Gossip Cop still checked in with a source close to Lopez to get clarification on the Enquirer’s latest article. We’re told in no uncertain terms that it’s total nonsense. We busted the tabloid just two weeks ago for falsely claiming Lopez was “dumping” Rodriguez over the random cheating allegations against him. The premise wasn’t true then, and it’s no more accurate now.

Julia Roberts’ Husband Upset She Called Tom Hanks ‘Super Hot’?

Julia Roberts Tom Hanks Husband Hot

(Getty Images)

A tabloid claims Julia Roberts’ husband, Danny Moder, is upset about his wife saying she finds Tom Hanks “super hot.” The story is completely ridiculous. Gossip Cop can debunk it.

Roberts made the comment last month during the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony for Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson. After describing her Larry Crowne co-star as “super hot,” the actress added, “Yeah, I said it. Now everybody knows.” According to the Globe, Roberts’ remarks have triggered problems in her supposedly “rocky marriage” to her husband of 16 years.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

“Danny couldn’t believe she would say something like that at a time their marriage is in trouble,” a supposed source tells the magazine. “He’s getting sick of her putting on this girlish flirting act in public.” The alleged insider adds, “It’s embarrassing because a lot of people know that he’s struggling to keep their relationship alive.”

The untrustworthy outlet conveniently leaves out a very key part of the actress’s speech. Roberts was honoring Hanks’ wife at the time, and told the crowd, “I have been lucky enough to know her long enough to learn things that we have in common: devotion to our mothers, endless joy of our families, super hot husbands.” Roberts gave the same compliment to her own husband, despite the Globe trying to make it appear as if the actress got up on stage at the ceremony and started randomly fawning over her former co-star.

Meanwhile, the idea that the actress and her husband are having marriage problems simply isn’t true. Roberts posted an Instagram tribute to Moder in honor of Valentine’s Day in February. In January, the happy spouses showed a ton of PDA at the Golden Globe Awards. Following the ceremony, the actress shared an Instagram photo of the two kissing in their car.

And just a few months ago, Roberts gushed about her husband during an interview on Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop podcast. The actress called Moder her “favorite human” and said marrying him changed her life “in the most incredible, indescribable way.” It’s also worth noting, Roberts addressed false tabloid stories about her marriage in her Harper’s Bazaar cover story a few months back. The actress noted that divorce stories printed in magazines “still hurt my feelings, because I’m so proud of my marriage.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to call out a tabloid for alleging that one of Roberts’ former co-stars was coming between her and Moder. We recently busted the Globe’s sister publication, the National Enquirer, for falsely claiming Roberts was leaving her husband for George Clooney, her co-star in Money Monster and the Ocean’s Eleven franchise. This latest article involving supposed jealousy over Hanks is more fiction.

Britney Spears Getting Dumped By Boyfriend While In Mental Health Facility?

Britney Spears Dumped Boyfriend

(Getty Images)

Is Britney Spears getting dumped by her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, while she’s in a mental health facility? That’s the claim being made by one of this week’s celebrity magazines. Gossip Cop, however, can exclusively bust this falsehood. We’re assured it’s “incorrect.”

According to the National Enquirer, Spears’ boyfriend “wants out” of their relationship. Playing off one of the singer’s hits, the supermarket tabloid contends her and Asghari’s “romance has turned ‘Toxic.’” To make its tale seem credible, the often debunked publication alleges it has an “insider” who shares, “Sam’s not thrilled with the prospect of nurse-maiding Britney back from the brink again.” “He’s also feeling in over his head by taking on the responsibility of helping to raise her two sons,” adds the supposed source.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

After noting how the two met on the set of Spears’ music video for “Slumber Party” back in 2016, the outlet has its anonymous and unaccountable “insider” maintain, “They moved very fast and they’ve had their ups and down.” “Brit’s been a lot for Sam to handle and he’s looking to get off this rollercoaster,” concludes the questionable tipster.

There are so many flaws in the outlet’s article it’s difficult to know where to begin. In no particular order, the frequently discredited publication, which now claims their relationship is a “rollercoaster” and that the fitness model is “looking to get off” of it, swore up and down a little more than a year ago that Spears and Asghari were planning a wedding in Las Vegas. In that phony report, the magazine insisted the two were in the process of “writing their vows.”

That, of course, brings us to traditional wedding vows in which grooms and brides promise to support and love each other “in sickness and in health.” And while the outlet previously asserted Asghari was so in love with Spears that he was going to marry her, regardless of any other issues, now the tabloid does an about-face and states their romance has been nothing less than a “rollercoaster” and he “wants out.” Just days later, the Enquirer’s sister publication, Star, went further and (wrongly) announced Spears and Asghari had gotten engaged. And by the end of the year, its other sister magazine, OK!, alleged Spears and Asghari were imminently getting married in Louisiana.

Of course, none of the marriage talk was true. Also 100 percent false is the narrative about Asghari not wanting to take on the “responsibility of helping to raise her two sons,” Sean Preston and Jayden James. It would never fall on Asghari. As she remains in treatment, in the wake of her father’s ailing health, Spears’ kids are being taken care of by their dad, Kevin Federline, with whom she’s co-parented for years.

It seems the tabloid was so hellbent on pushing its phony premise about the model wanting to dump Spears, that it left out some key facts, including how Federline is the boys’ father and often their primary caregiver. More significantly, the singer’s boyfriend has remained extremely committed to her. Two weeks ago, Asghari shared on Instagram how he was “inspired” by Spears checking into a wellness center. And last Saturday, Asghari posted on Instagram a series of videos of him kissing Spears to celebrate International Kissing Day, confirming his unwavering love and support for her.

Notwithstanding all the provably inaccurate elements in the magazine’s article, Gossip Cop still checked in with a longtime Spears confidant, who’s also grown to know Asghari over the past two-plus years, and we’re assured the entire story is “incorrect.” The only ones who should truly be dumped at this point are the tabloid’s Spears sources for continuing to feed it completely wrong information about her and her boyfriend.

Kim Kardashian Divorcing Kanye West When Fourth Baby Arrives?

Kim Kardashian Kanye West Divorce Fourth Baby

(In Touch)

One of this week’s tabloids claims Kim Kardashian plans on divorcing Kanye West once their fourth baby arrives via surrogate. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can correct it.

According to In Touch, the reality star is fed up with her husband’s supposed “demands that she dote on him constantly” and it led to a huge fight between the pair. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “He accused her of not giving him enough attention. It got out of control. Kim needs her freedom – she went and got the kids and stormed out, slamming the door.”

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

The supposed source further contends that West “lectures” his wife about spending too much time with her mom and sisters, but she feels there’s a “double standard” because he’s often away recording his albums. “The way she sees it, there’s one rule for Kanye and another for her,” adds the questionable tipster. “He goes wherever he wants, but when he’s in LA, he expects Kim to run around after him 24/7. She feels more like his babysitter than his wife.”

The seemingly phony source further contends that West often “goes MIA,” to the point where Kardashian is concerned he may miss the birth of their fourth child. “Kim’s worried that if the surrogate goes into labor early, she won’t be able to reach him,” adds the suspicious insider. “The problem is Kanye isn’t great at taking responsibility for his own actions and will probably blame Kim if this happens.”

The so-called “source” goes on to say that even if West does make the birth, his wife is still walking away. “There’s no reason for her to stay trapped in a bad marriage,” adds the supposed insider. “This isn’t a rocky patch they’re going through. They’ve been unhappy for years.”

The magazine’s report is false on every level. Just last week, Kardashian and West went on a vacation to Bali together. The reality star documented the romantic getaway on social media, sharing multiple photos and videos, including a selfie of the spouses lounging on the deck of their hotel suite. Additionally, it was reported just two days ago that Kardashian and West are in negotiations to purchase a vacation house in Palm Springs. Suffice to say, couples on the verge of a divorce don’t typically purchase a new home together.

It’s worth noting, Gossip Cop busted In Touch back in June 2018 for falsely claiming Kardashian was leaving West. That phony article even included a similar quote about the reality star being “trapped in a bad marriage.” The premise wasn’t true then and it’s no more accurate now. The spouses are going strong as they prepare for the arrival of their fourth child, and the claim otherwise is baseless.

Brad Pitt Feud Rumors

Brad Pitt Feud Rumors

(Getty Images)

Over the years, the tabloids have attempted to create fake feuds between Brad Pitt and other celebrities. Gossip Cop has debunked many of the actor’s alleged battles with other stars. Here are a few wrong rumors.

In February, Gossip Cop busted RadarOnline for falsely claiming Pitt has been in a “secret feud” with Tom Cruise for 25 years. According to the blog, the two stars didn’t get along while working together on their 1994 movie Interview with the Vampire, and they’ve hated each other ever since. An alleged insider told the blog that the war between the two was escalating because Pitt was having trouble getting a sequel to World War Z made, while Cruise is in the midst of filming Top Gun: Maverick. The outlet didn’t make it clear what one had to do with the other.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

The premise was based on claims from an anonymous “source,” but Pitt’s rep told Gossip Cop on the record that it was completely false. We were assured the actor has never been at odds with Cruise. In fact, several years after the release of Interview with the Vampire, Pitt supported his former co-star when he was honored at the Artists Rights Foundation awards gala.

Last year, Gossip Cop called out OK! for wrongly reporting that Pitt was feuding with Leonardo DiCaprio on the set of their upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The outlet maintained that the two stars have always had an “intense rivalry” and it was only getting worse because Pitt felt his co-star was stealing all of their scenes together. A supposed source told the tabloid that the two weren’t talking behind the scenes and would “go their separate ways” as soon as cameras stopped rolling.

Not only did Pitt’s own spokesperson dismiss the story as nonsense, but around the same time, the Daily Mail published photos of the actor and his co-star sharing a laugh during a break from filming. The outlet even noted in its piece that “the mood seemed jovial” on set, and this was evident from the pictures published online. The outlet’s report of friction between the co-stars was simply baseless.

And back in 2016, Gossip Cop debunked a Star story claiming Pitt had ended his so-called “feud” with George Clooney following his split from Angelina Jolie. The magazine alleged that Jolie had never liked Clooney, resulting in a wedge being driven between him and Pitt. With Jolie out of the picture, the Ocean’s Eleven co-stars had buried the hatchet, according to the outlet’s alleged insider.

The tabloid’s story lacked logic. Pitt frequently socialized with Clooney during the time he was still with Jolie, so the idea that the actress caused a rift between them isn’t accurate. All three stars happily posed together at various awards shows and movie premieres over the years. Pitt and Clooney never had to end an imaginary feud.

Gwen Stefani Announced She’s Pregnant During Blake Shelton Wedding?

Gwen Stefani Blake Shelton Wedding Pregnant Ranch

(Life and Style)

A tabloid claims Gwen Stefani announced she’s pregnant in the middle of her “secret” wedding to Blake Shelton. In reality, the singer didn’t get married and she’s not expecting a baby. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony claim otherwise.

According to Life & Style, the two music stars secretly tied the knot in front of 200 guests at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. The unreliable outlet, however, doesn’t bother to mention when the supposed nuptials took place. Still, an alleged insider maintains that Stefani is also pregnant with a baby girl, adding, “She broke the baby news during her vows and everyone erupted in screams of joy.”

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

As for the ceremony, the supposed source claims the No Doubt singer had “six bridesmaids, three live bands and four wedding cakes,” while the country star was in charge of the food, which included “a feast” of barbeque items. From there, the seemingly phony tipster says Shelton’s “The Voice” co-stars Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson have been named “godparents” of his unborn child.

There’s no truth to the magazine’s storyline, which has been recycled countless times. Gossip Cop first debunked this premise back in 2016 when Life & Style’s sister publication, OK!, falsely claimed Stefani and Shelton had a secret wedding at his ranch in Oklahoma. In 2018, Star made up another story about Stefani and Shelton getting married on his ranch.

Later that year, Gossip Cop called out In Touch for wrongly reporting that Stefani was pregnant and getting married to her boyfriend at his ranch. And just last month, the National Enquirer contended that Stefani and Shelton had a “low-key” wedding at his Oklahoma ranch, and were also having a baby through a surrogate.

There are two possibilities here. Either Stefani and Shelton are getting secretly married at his Oklahoma ranch every few months, or this ongoing saga is made-up. We’ll go with the second option. In addition to it be astounding how many times the tabloids have reused this bogus narrative, Life & Style has actually contradicted itself by borrowing it. Last year, the tabloid insisted that Stefani and Shelton had a “quickie” marriage in Mexico.

Despite the inordinate amount of times we’ve debunked this recurring theme, Gossip Cop once again checked in with Stefani’s rep, who assures us on the record that this latest report is more nonsense. The singer and her boyfriend aren’t secretly married and they’re not expecting a baby girl. Unfortunately, we suspect the tabloids will be throwing another imaginary bash on Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch very soon.

Angelina Jolie Looking To Do Movie With Channing Tatum?

Angelina Jolie Channing Tatum

(Getty Images)

Is Angelina Jolie looking to do a movie with Channing Tatum? That was the claim made in a celebrity magazine exactly one year ago today. At the time, Gossip Cop was assured Jolie had not expressed a particular interest in working with Tatum, and now 12 months later it’s clear they’re not attached to a film project together.

On April 17, 2018, OK! concocted a tale about the Oscar-winner reaching out to her agent about setting up a meeting with Tatum, so they could talk about shooting a movie together. An unnamed source was quoted as telling the tabloid it was all a ploy for Jolie to “get to know [Tatum] better,” because she thought he was “hot.” The anonymous tipster further contended the actress only inquired about Tatum after she found out he was “back on the market,” following his separation from Jenna Dewan.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

According to the untraceable insider, Tatum and Jolie had already met a “few times” in passing, and she was very much attracted to his “good looks” and “southern charm.” The supposed source further threw in how the First They Killed My Father writer and director was a big fan of Magic Mike. Not surprisingly, the tabloid offered no examples whatsoever of where or when they had met or proof that Jolie was even “chasing” Tatum, as it had alleged.

Simply, it appears the magazine manufactured the entire premise because he’s handsome and was newly single, and she’s, well, Angelina Jolie. Back when the tabloid first published its article, Gossip Cop reached out to a confidante in the actress’ camp, and we were told pointblank the entire story was nothing more than a work of fiction. Just two weeks before, we were also informed Jolie had no interest in dating, a fact confirmed by other reputable outlets. Now 365 days later, the officially single star is still not romantically involved with anyone, including Tatum. In fact, six months later it was revealed he was (and remains) involved with the singer Jessie J.

Since that unquestionably inaccurate article, OK! hasn’t developed any better Jolie sources or become more reliable with it information about her. For instance, just this past February, Gossip Cop busted the same publication when it wrongly maintained Brad Pitt and Jolie were calling off their divorce following an emotional custody meeting. Seemingly having forgotten that fabricated report, the often discredited outlet later published a cover story that falsely alleged Jolie and Colin Farrell had been secretly dating for two months, which coincides with when it previously insisted she wanted to get back together with Pitt.

That actually brings Gossip Cop to its overriding point. The reason we revisit made-up tales, including the one about Jolie wanting to date Tatum, is to remind readers that they need to look at (or remember) an outlet’s record before automatically believing it. Also, as crucial as assessing what a magazine claims, it’s just as important to question what it leaves out. For example, in the story from last year, there were no facts to support the two stars had met or that Jolie was looking to have a “fling” with Tatum, as its untruthfully asserted.

Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez Getting Married “For Business, Not Love”?

Jennifer Lopez Alex Rodriguez Married

(Getty Images)

Is Jennifer Lopez getting married to Alex Rodriguez “for business, not love”? That’s the premise behind a new article in one of the celebrity weeklies. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this untrue claim. We’re told it’s nonsense.

According to NW, there’s not a lot of “chemistry” between Lopez and Rodriguez, and their relationship is nothing more than them being “best friends” and cashing in on their status as a “power couple.” To make its highly flawed story seem credible, the publication asserts it has an “insider” who insists Lopez is going forward with her upcoming “$ 21 million” wedding because, even though there’s talk of the former MLB player having a “wandering eye,” the singer “knows this relationship is good for her image and she’s not about to let those allegations get in the way of that.” “Their romance is far more about a meeting of minds than anything else,” contends the magazine’s unnamed “spy.”

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘div-gpt-ad-1526939461036-0’); });

The same anonymous and possibly invented source continues, “They’ve both become extremely successful and have giant fortunes to match, and Jennifer loves that they’re seen as a major power couple.” The tipster adds, “It’s not quite the romantic relationship that they make it out to be on the surface, but they get along really well and Jennifer trusts Alex’s judgement.” “There may not be a ton of passion between them, but J. Lo knows exactly what she’s doing.”

Allow Gossip Cop to step and a point out a series of errors within the tabloid’s tale. Though certainly a red flag when it comes to believability, one of the lesser issues is that the same so-called “spy” alternately refers to Lopez in quotations as “Jennifer” and then as “J.Lo,” which a real-life friend of hers would not do in normal speech. Also, while the magazine first states that the “World Of Dance” star is “not about to let those [cheating] allegations get in the way” of her relationship with Rodriguez, it later maintains almost contradictorily that Lopez “trusts Alex’s judgement.”

Mostly, the outlet is asking its readers not to believe Lopez and Rodriguez when they say how much they love each other. It’s also asking them to dismiss all those photos of Rodriguez and Lopez looking happy together. But here’s the biggest problem with the report: If their relationship were a sham, why would they go to the lengths of “splashing out a cool $ 21 million on their upcoming nuptials”?

For clarification, that figure is also made-up. Lopez herself has said she and Rodriguez haven’t even begun planning their wedding. Regardless, as opposed to the tabloid’s story, which bases its entire article on an unidentifiable and seemingly fictitious source, a rep for Rodriguez went on the record with Gossip Cop to wisely point out, “You don’t have to get married to go into business together.” If it were truly about “business, not love,” there would be no reason for them to have to wed and complicate their lives legally and financially.

Remember, NW is the very same outlet that Gossip Cop busted when it wrongly reported weeks before she got engaged that Lopez was dumping Rodriguez for ex-fiance Ben Affleck. And then shortly after the former Yankees star popped the question in March, the publication concocted a bogus tale about how Lopez and Rodriguez were discussing having an open marriage, a point the tabloid neglected to mention in its latest article, though it would have bolstered its false narrative. Lastly, the magazine inaccurately claimed nearly one year ago how Lopez and Rodriguez and were secretly engaged and marrying on July Fourth weekend in 2018.

In that manufactured piece, their wedding was supposed to take place in the Hamptons, and the couple was “sparing no expense” to have a week-long celebration that would “cost upwards of $ 5 million.” Not only did the nuptials’ price tag magically go up four times as much over the past 11 months, but never was it even implied their marriage is for “business, not love.” That’s because, much like its previous reports, the tabloid’s current story is also completely fabricated.
