A tabloid claims Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have “hit a rough patch” in their relationship and might be headed for a split. There’s no truth the story. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we can correct it.

An article in this week’s In Touch says the couple’s eight-year relationship is in trouble as “all is not well in the romance department.” A questionable source is quoted as saying, “The spark they once had seems to be dying down, and they’ve grown apart.” The magazine doesn’t bother to elaborate on what the couple’s supposed issues entail, but maintains they’re dealing with them “in different ways.”

“Ryan’s not one to get too bogged down by talking about his feelings while Eva is the opposite – that’s the big problem,” adds the alleged tipster. “Relationships are hard, and they’re realizing they’re going to have to put in the work if they want to save theirs.” But Gossip Cop checked with a source close to the situation, who tells us none of this is true, and there’s evidence to back that up.

In April, Mendes spoke glowingly about Gosling in an interview with Women’s Health, telling a story about how much it meant to her when the actor dedicated his Golden Globe for La La Land to her brother, who had recently passed away. “It was the most beautiful gesture,” the actress said. Mendes also talked about how much Gosling has changed her life, specifically in regards to wanting to become a mother. The actress noted that after she fell in love with the actor, “then made sense for me to have…not kids, but his kids. It was very specific to him.”

Unfortunately, it’s common for the tabloids to wrongly predict the demise of Mendes and Gosling’s relationship. The couple is notoriously quiet about their romance and rarely attend red carpet events together. That leaves a vacuum for the gossip media to fill with falsehoods. In May, In Touch’s sister publication, OK!, falsely claimed Mendes was dumping Gosling and taking their two kids. That didn’t happen.

Shortly before that, Gossip Cop called out Star for wrongly reporting that Gosling and Mendes had split following months of nonstop fighting. They’re still very much together. Back in 2017, we debunked a bogus report about Gosling and Mendes being at a “breaking point” in their relationship. It’s more than two years later and nothing has broken. This latest article about the couple is more nonsense.

Emma Watson and Tom Felton are not dating, despite a false tabloid report claiming the Harry Potter co-stars are a new couple. Gossip Cop looked into the romance rumors. There’s simply no truth to them.

OK! Australia published the story, titled “Emma & Tom: More Than Friends?” The magazine says the two may be dating based on an Instagram post from Felton where he’s pictured teaching Watson how to play guitar in South Africa. “It’s not the first time the pair’s social media posts have set tongues wagging… and we really hope it’s happening,” writes the unreliable tabloid. Shouldn’t news outlets report what is happening, not what they hope is happening?

Gossip Cop checked with trusted source close to Watson, who tells us she and Felton are just good friends. Considering the two have known each other since 2000, back when they were both just kids, it’s not a surprise they’ve remained close. The two effectively grew up together over the filming of the eight films, meaning there’s a special bond between the two — just not a romantic one.

Additionally, Felton’s an avid and passionate guitar player, so it’s not unusual that he’d share his hobby with his friends. The actor’s Instagram page features multiple photos of him playing the same guitar he shared with Watson with other people, including a bartender in South Africa. He’s clearly just happy to bond with people over music. This is just a case of a tabloid baselessly speculating.

Watson is just as happy to share in some quality time with Felton. The acres posted a picture of the two hanging out at the beach with a hashtag referencing Felton tolerating her subpar skating skills since 1999. Like we said, the two go way back. In February, Watson posted a picture of herself that Felton took, which she captioned with “Friends capture you best.” Again, they’re clearly just pals.

Due to the fanfare surrounding Harry Potter to this day, Watson constantly gets linked to other actors with headlines like “Romance for Hermione!” or something equally ridiculous. This isn’t even the first time the tabloids have claimed Watson was involved with a Harry Potter co-star. In December 2017, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for falsely claiming Watson was dating Robert Pattinson.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop busted the American version of OK! in March 2018 for concocting a story about Watson and Leonardo DiCaprio “getting flirty” at an Oscars party. The actor was already dating girlfriend Camila Morrone when that phony story was published. This latest one surrounding Watson’s love life is more fiction.

Liam Hemsworth is not dating Isabel Lucas, the ex-girlfriend of his brother Chris Hemsworth, following his split from Miley Cyrus. That bogus storyline is being peddled in two of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop has learned it’s entirely false.

According to Star, Liam is in a secret romance with Lucas, a fellow Aussie who dated his older brother from 2005 to 2008 while they co-starred on the Australian TV series Home and Away. “She’s as low-key as you can get,” a supposed source tells the magazine. “Put it this way: She’s the polar opposite of Miley. Liam’s family, especially his brother Chris and sister-in-law Elsa Pataky, who looks like Isabel, are already saying Isabel is a better fit than Miley.” The outlet doesn’t bother to address the weirdness that would be involved with Liam supposedly dating his brother’s ex-girlfriend.

In Touch also published a version of this phony story, but that article does somewhat acknowledge the unusual dynamic. An alleged insider says it “doesn’t seem to faze Liam” that Lucas dated his older brother for three years as he likes her and “that’s what it comes down to.” The questionable tipster goes on to say that Liam “took her to a friends house in Australia a few weeks ago for a house party, and they were on the couch together the whole time very cuddly. It was clear they’re seeing each other.”

Nothing about this fantasy scenario is remotely true. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Liam, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but assures us he’s not dating Lucas and the claim otherwise is “absolutely false.” Meanwhile, Lucas’ spokesperson is going on the record to dismiss the romance rumors. It should be noted, neither outlet cited above gives any explanation as to how the Hunger Games star supposedly connected with Lucas and started dating her.

Back in May, however, Liam and his brother Chris randomly bumped into Lucas while grabbing coffee in Australia. The trio had a friendly chat before going their separate ways. It’s possible the gossip media has decided to create these fake dating rumors based on that chance run-in from a few months ago. Regardless of what inspired the narrative, there’s no truth to it.

In January, Gossip Cop busted In Touch for wrongly reporting that Liam was having a baby with Cyrus, so the tabloid clearly knows very little about their relationship. This also wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to debunk a phony story involving Lucas and one of the Hemsworth brothers. Following that May run-in mentioned above, NW falsely claimed that Chris’s wife was furious about him chatting with his ex. These various reports sound more like plot points for a TV soap opera.

A tabloid is claiming David Beckham has ordered wife Victoria Beckham to quit drinking because she’s allegedly developed a problem with alcohol. The story is incorrect for a number of reasons. Gossip Cop can bust it completely.

An article in this week’s Star features the sensational headline, “David Begs Posh: Stop Boozing!” The magazine quotes a supposed source as saying, “It’s been an issue for years, but David always let it slide because he’s been no angel himself in other areas of the marriage.” The questionable tipster goes on to say the reason David is doing this now is in anticipation of the family supposedly moving to Miami, where he’s launching a new soccer team.

“The last thing he wants is Victoria stumbling out of a restaurant… or slurring her words at important power meetings,” adds the seemingly phony source. The “insider” further contends that the former Spice Girl “loves champagne and she’ll quickly down a couple glasses, but with her small frame and the fact that she eats practically nothing beforehand, it goes straight to her head.” The anonymous tipster concludes, “David wants her to focus on the family brand, and as such, to have a totally healthy lifestyle.”

There is a lot to unpack from this story, including how vicious the tabloid is towards Victoria, alleging she’s an anorexic alcoholic, which is totally untrue. Then there’s that backhanded “no angel” remark about David, implying infidelity with no evidence to back to it up. The tabloid is just taking mean-spirited shots at the couple, and it’s all coming from an untraceable “source.”

Gossip Cop checked in with the Victoria’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that the story is complete “nonsense.” In fact, we already busted Star earlier this month for wrongly reporting that David and Victoria were moving to Miami full-time. Although the former soccer star will be spending some time there while launching his new team, London will remain his primary residence.

Last summer, Gossip Cop called out star for wrongly reporting that David and Victoria were headed for a divorce over rumors he got their daughter’s teacher pregnant. Those rumors were totally baseless and the spouses of 20 years are still happily married. It should be noted, Victoria has been running a successful fashion empire for several years, which isn’t exactly an easy task for someone with a supposed drinking problem. The tabloid’s report is simply bogus.

Megan Fox is threatening to divorce Brian Austin Green for admitting he once hooked up with Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star Tori Spelling? That’s the bogus claim in one of the tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the situation and we’ve learned it’s untrue.

During an interview on Watch What Happens Live earlier this month, Green admitted to having a fling with Spelling during the original run of 90210 back in the ’90s. The actress herself had already publicly spoken about the tryst, so when Green was asked to confirm it, he acknowledged, “We hooked up. We did. But we were young and so that’s what young people do.”

According to Woman’s Day, Green’s wife of nine years is enraged by his comments. “Megan finds it really disrespectful that he felt the need to announce that,” an anonymous source tells the magazine. “She’s reminded Brian she’s filed for divorce before and she’d do it again. To say he’s in the dog house would be an understatement.”

The magazine’s story is based on claims from an unidentified “insider,” but Gossip Cop reached out to Fox’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record there’s “zero truth” to it. The actress isn’t threatening to divorce her husband over a relationship from his past. Furthermore, Green didn’t exactly go out of his way to “announce” his past hookup with Spelling. The question was posed during an interview on a live talk show, and he actually seemed hesitant to answer it at first. Not to mention, the news was already out there.

The outlet’s story just seems like a weak attempt at capitalizing on the popularity of the 90210 reboot. OK! was guilty of this last week when it falsely claimed Jennie Garth was furious with Spelling for casting Denise Richards on BH90210 without running it by her first. The story was total fiction. In reality, Garth and Spelling are close friends and there’s no drama between them on the set of the reboot.

Of course, this also wouldn’t be the first time Fox’s marriage has been the subject of a bogus report. Gossip Cop busted NW last year for falsely claiming Josh Duhamel was pursuing Fox, despite her being happily married to Green, with whom she shares three kids. The story was concocted simply because Duhamel and Fox were making a movie together. It’s seems the gossip media just enjoys throwing the actress and her husband into fake love triangles. Green’s recent admission about a years-old romance with Spelling hasn’t impacted his marriage.

The tabloids consistently publish bogus stories about Cher’s supposed poor health and alleged death scares. In reality, the 72-year-old singer is in great shape. Here are a few wrong reports that Gossip Cop has corrected.

Although it’s true Cher was diagnosed with the Epstein-Barr virus in 1986, she has managed the disease well and in the last decade has had a huge career resurgence. That didn’t stop RadarOnline from publishing a bogus story in August 2016 that claimed Cher was too sick to perform. The made-up report said the singer had been “crippled by the vicious Epstein-Barr virus,” when in fact she hasn’t had a major incident caused by the virus since 2008. At the time, Gossip Cop checked with the star’s rep, who told us the story wasn’t true.

Two years later, the National Enquirer and its sister publication, the Globe, pushed a false narrative about Cher receiving a “miracle cure” to stop her from dying. The outlets contended that the singer was getting “experimental blood transfusions” to cure a virus that was “shutting down her kidneys and killing her by inches.” To back up its story, the tabloids used a decade-old quote by Cher about a serious bout of pneumonia she had fought in 2008. Gossip Cop checked with Cher’s spokesperson, who called the story “the usual garbage.”

Last November, the Globe published a story quoting another unnamed source as saying Cher was too sick to perform and was “struggling every day to find the strength to carry on.” The alleged insider added, “She’s in the grips of the devastating Epstein-Barr virus and it’s difficult to get out of bed sometimes.” Just a month and half later, the singer kicked off her Here We Go Again tour, which is now almost two years into its successful run around the world. And no, Cher is not performing from her bed.

In May, the Globe made up an absurd story about Cher planning to freeze her body when she dies. The tabloid quoted a “source” as saying the singer was “struggling every day to find the strength to carry on,” and that she was “bedridden, weak and depressed.” Not only did Cher’s spokesperson dismiss the story as nonsense, but just four days later, the singer continued with another leg of her world tour in Grand Rapids, MI.

Cher is currently wrapping up another two-year residency at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas before heading out on a tour this fall that will take her all over Europe and North America, wrapping up just before Christmas. The iconic singer shows no sign of slowing down and it’s quite clear she’s in excellent health, despite what the tabloids would have you believe.

Miranda Lambert and husband Brendan McLoughlin are coming up on nine months of happy marriage, but that hasn’t stopped the tabloids from spreading false stories about the two divorcing or having issues. Gossip Cop had debunked many takes on the subject. Here are a few wrong stories we’verecently busted about the country star and her spouse.

Last month, Life & Style published a piece claiming Lambert and McLoughlin were “fighting in public.” The tabloid based the “fighting” on the fact that a “source” saw McLoughlin gesturing with his hands while the couple walked down the street in New York City. However, there were no paparazzi photos of their supposed “argument.”

Gossip Cop checked with the singer’s spokesperson, who told us that the article was false. Social media posts from Lambert confirmed this, showing the couple happily joking around while walking in New York City, with no evidence of the “tension” the tabloid said was pulling them apart.

Life & Style‘s story also referenced a “shocking report” about Lambert “boozing by herself.” The tabloid was referring to a “report” from its own sister publication, In Touch, which made the same claim a few days prior. According to the tabloid, the couple “rushed into marriage” without considering how their “wildly different lifestyles” might intertwine.

The outlet alleged that Lambert was too “controlling” and didn’t trust her husband, but didn’t want to “scare him off by stopping him seeing his pals,” so the result was that the two ended up “living separate lives,” and Lambert “ends up going out by herself.” An individual in the singer’s camp told us the article was flat-out “stupid.” Social media posts from both Lambert and McLoughlin revealed a happy couple that share their life together.

Also last month, the National Enquirer falsely claimed Lambert and McLoughlin’s marriage was “on the rocks.” The outlet repeated false claims about Lambert drinking alone, but added a detail about her husband being “with a bevy of babes in a Manhattan bar.” The magazine further contended McLoughlin’s “macho” lifestyle conflicted with Lambert’s controlling ways, resulting in “boozy fights” and “silent treatments.”

Gossip Cop ran the story by a source close to Lambert, who assured us the whole thing was fake. This was evident by the array of paparazzi snaps of the couple goofing off and smiling together just after the tabloid published the rumors.

Back in May, Star wrongly reported that Lambert and McLoughlin were headed for divorce after just 122 days of marriage. The tabloid claimed Lambert was moving out their New York City apartment after realizing that “marrying Brendan was the biggest mistake of her life.” The magazine said the singer was insisting they settle down in Nashville full-time, which didn’t make much sense considering she had just spent $ 2 million on a penthouse in New York City.

Of course, the two are still married all these months later. In fact, they’ve been successfully splitting their time between Nashville and New York. It should also be noted, the couple spent this past weekend together in Texas celebrating Lambert’s parents’ 40th anniversary.

Ashton Kutcher recently testified in a murder trial against a man who’s since been convicted of killing two women, and according to a tabloid, the situation has caused problems in his marriage to Mila Kunis. Gossip Cop can correct the phony story. The actor’s involvement in the case hasn’t negatively impacted his relationship.

In May, Kutcher testified against accused killer Michael Gargiulo, known as the “Hollywood Ripper,” who was being tried for the stabbing deaths of two young women in Los Angeles. One of the victims was a 22-year-old fashion student named Ashley Ellerin, who was dating Kutcher when she was murdered in 2001. The actor went to Ellerin’s Hollywood Hills home on the night of her murder to pick her up for a date, but left when she didn’t answer the door. He learned the following morning that she had been dead inside the home when he arrived.

Earlier this month, Gargiulo was found guilty of murdering Ellerin, as well as another woman he stabbed to death in 2005. The verdict came two months after Kutcher’s testimony about what he saw the night he arrived at the victim’s home. Woman’s Day has decided to capitalize on the situation by falsely alleging Kutcher is stressed to the point where he’s lashing out at his wife.

“Mila has been as upbeat and positive as always but Ashton’s been a nightmare,” a supposed source tells the magazine. “He’s short-tempered with her and the kids, and she’s had enough of it.” The anonymous tipster adds, “They never used to argue but now it’s like they’re constantly butting heads.” The supposed source further contends that Kunis has ripped off her wedding ring and it will stay off “until he can get his act together.”

Nothing about the outlet’s report is remotely true. Kunis and Kutcher, who celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary last month, are going strong. People magazine, a much more reliable source for celebrity news than Woman’s Day, reported last week that the spouses are “very happy” and “have a very fulfilling life and love sharing the responsibilities of being parents.”

Last month, Kutcher shared a funny Instagram video of him and Kunis singing a children’s song together. It’s fairly clear he hasn’t been a “nightmare” to be around. In June, Kunis and Kutcher shared an Instagram video in which they mocked another tabloid for falsely claiming their marriage was “over.” Both of those videos were posted long after the actor delivered his testimony. Woman’s Day seems to be rehashing the event simply because Gargiulo was recently found guilty.

Gossip Cop also checked in with a rep for Kunis, who tells us on the record that the tabloid’s report is “all false.” The magazine’s article seems to be nothing more than a weak attempt to exploit a murder trial. Kutcher’s involvement in the case hasn’t taken a toll on his marriage in any way.

According to an online report, Katie Holmes is angry about Jamie Foxx’s supposed “fling” with aspiring singer Sela Vave. The phony story is filled with inaccuracies. Gossip Cop can clear up the situation.

The romance between Foxx and Holmes has been a gold mine for the tabloids, primarily because their relationship has never been publicly acknowledged by either camp. The pair seem to have gone their separate ways, but as Gossip Cop has stressed all along, they were never boyfriend and girlfriend in the conventional sense.

Last week, Foxx was photographed leaving a Los Angeles nightclub with Vave, a 21-year-old singer who he’s been mentoring. RadarOnline is reporting that Holmes is enraged by the situation because she and the actor “had an agreement to play fair and not embarrass the other by stepping out with anyone else in public – but Jamie’s done exactly that and she’s livid.”

The website’s anonymous source goes on to say that Vave “is basically living at Jamie’s place right now,” which is embarrassing for Holmes. But Gossip Cop reached out to a rep for the actress, who assures us the blog’s report isn’t remotely factual.

For starters, Foxx set the record straight on his relationship with Vave in an Instagram story posted a few days ago. The actor and musician explained that he’s helping the young singer with her career, just as he did for Ed Sheeran, Nick Cannon and Ne-Yo, all of whom slept at the actor’s house when they were still struggling to make it. “Everybody comes to my crib, no matter who you are,” explained Foxx. “There is a young lady by the name of Sela Vave. I did the same thing with her.”

Foxx further noted that Vave “hangs out with my kids and is as young as my daughter [Corrine, 25],” and she’s become a part of his family. “I spoke to that girl’s mom, and she put her trust in me,” added the actor. “People try to make mountains out of molehills. We want to treat her the same way and give her the same opportunities.” Vave shared Foxx’s video on her own Instagram page to respond to trolls who’ve been labeling her a “home wrecker,” in addition to other unkind accusations.

Simply put, Foxx is denying there’s anything romantic going on between him and Vave, but more significantly, Holmes’ spokesperson confirms she’s not troubled by the actor stepping out with the young singer. RadarOnline is the same blog that reported last year that Holmes and Foxx were planning on marrying in Paris. Reps for both stars refuted the report, and time has proven it unequivocally false.

Also last year, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely claiming Holmes and Foxx would be meeting with Tom Cruise to “clear the air” before announcing their engagement. Nothing about that scenario was remotely true. The two stars have indeed split after years of casually dating, but there’s no stipulation on either side about who they spend time with going forward.

Brad Pitt has not introduced Jennifer Aniston to his kids, despite a made-up tabloid report. The story is based on the false idea that the ex-spouses are back together, which isn’t the case. Gossip Cop can debunk the entire premise.

According to OK!, not only have Pitt and Aniston rekindled their romance, but he’s “taking the next step” by having her meet his six children, Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11. An anonymous source tells the magazine, “They recently had a secret meeting. Jen was so nervous, but she passed the test with flying colors.”

The alleged insider goes on to say that Aniston spoke to Pitt’s children about books, music, movies and more. “She really won them over when she started talking to the boys about the video games they like to play,” adds the unidentified tipster. The so-called “source” concludes that after Aniston left, “the kids told Brad they love Jen and that they think she’s so cool.”

The tabloid’s report is a complete work of fiction. Separate spokespeople for both Pitt and Aniston are going on the record to dismiss the idea that they’re back together in any capacity. The actress most assuredly hasn’t met her ex-husband’s kids either.

Earlier this month, Entertainment Tonight accurately reported hat Aniston “continues to say in touch” with Pitt and the two “occasionally talk.” Although the ex-spouses are on friendly terms, there’s no indication they’ve seen each other since Pitt attended her 50th birthday party in February.

Just a few days ago, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Pitt and Aniston had “rekindled a romance” and things were getting “very serious” between them. There was no truth to the premise, and this follow-up article about the actress meeting her ex’s kids is no more accurate.

It must also be mentioned that Gossip Cop called out the tabloid less than a year ago for wrongly reporting that Pitt and Aniston were getting married and having a baby. That phony scenario was disproven with the passage of time. However, the magazine has never acknowledged its mistake. Instead, the unreliable outlet usually ignores its previously debunked storylines and comes up with new ones.

Of course, that’s not to say there’s anything so new about the premise of this latest article. In fact, there have been so many false stories about Aniston meeting Pitt’s kids that Gossip Cop dedicated an entire article breaking down all the times we’ve corrected the narrative. We’ll add this latest OK! article to the list.
