Amy Poehler, Will Arnett Clashing Over Co-Parenting?

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are not clashing while co-parenting their two young sons, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony drama. There’s simply no truth to it.

According to OK!, Poehler has been significantly busier since taking on a career as a director. The comedic actress directed the Netflix movie Wine Country and she’s gearing up to shoot another Netflix comedy titled Moxie. “She’s had to lean on Will to look after their sons [Archie, 10, and Abel, 9] a lot recently,” a supposed source tells the magazine.

The anonymous tipster adds, “He feels as if she’s taking advantage of him because she’s been making last-minute schedule changes, but her career’s at full throttle right now, so she feels she deserves more understanding.” The questionable insider further contends that the ex-spouses don’t get along, but they “try to keep up appearances in front of the kids. The situation is stressful for both of them.”

The tabloid’s premise doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Poehler was starring on the NBC show Parks and Recreation when she and Arnett split in 2012. In addition to headlining the hit series, she also wrote, produced and directed several episodes. That’s a whole lot of work, so the idea that she’s busier these days simply isn’t accurate.

Additionally, the ex-couple’s kids were obviously even younger when Poehler was working on her TV show, while Arnett has a busy career of his own. The two have managed to juggle work and parenting just fine since their breakup, so the notion that it’s suddenly issue because she’s directing movies doesn’t add up.

Meanwhile, the tabloid’s bogus story is based on claims from an unidentified “source,” but Gossip Cop reached out to a spokesperson for both Poehler and Arnett, who tells us it’s “laughably untrue.” Despite what the outlet’s untraceable “insider” says, a rep qualified to speak for both stars confirms they have no issues when it comes to co-parenting their kids.

Last year, Gossip Cop busted OK!’s sister publication, In Touch, for falsely claiming Arnett was developing a romance with Jennifer Aniston. As time has proven, the two stars never dated. Prior to that, we called out the magazine’s other sister outlet, RadarOnline, for making up a story about Poehler feuding with Will Ferrell. The gossip media doesn’t seem to know much about either star’s interpersonal relationships, including how they get along with each other.
