Australians Walk Out on Britney Spears Concert

According to Star Pulse, Australian fans stormed out of a Britney Spears concert in Perth, Australia on Friday, insisting that the pop-singer was horrible.

The exodus began just three songs into her Aussie tour debut – after fans made it clear they were unhappy with the star’s lacklustre performance and miming.

One fan, Josh Blee, tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, “It was crap… She has let us down.”

Other concert-goers complained they couldn’t even see the singer miming on the big screens above the stage because she mostly performed with her back to the cameras. And she never addressed the fans who had paid for expensive tickets.

Friday night’s outrage came just 24 hours after Virginia Judge, the New South Wales Minister for Fair Trading, urged ticket agencies to warn fans about touring stars who don’t sing live.

Taking aim at Spears in particular, Judge said, “Live means live. If you are spending up to $200, I think you deserve better than a film clip. The NSW Government would be happy to look at options, such as a disclaimer on a ticket which would warn consumers a performance is pre-recorded.”
