When he left Doctor Who, Arthur Darvill was just the student.
OK, he had lived through a couple thousand years of fighting, but he was still just the Timelord’s companion.
That’s why it’s so exciting that this go-round he gets to be the Time Master himself!

Following closely on the airborne heels of the Hawkgirl announcement, Arthur is the latest cast member to join the ensemble of superheroes on the as-yet-untitled Arrow/Flash spinoff.
He will play a character named Rip Hunter who uses time travel to right wrongs throughout history.
Sound like anyone you Doctor Who fans know? LOLz!
The show is expected to debut next season on The CW as a midseason addition.
