Paws up, “little monsters”, because Lady Gaga‘s upcoming album – ARTPOP – finally has come concrete release details!

Last Sunday, July 28, the Mother Monster has tweeted that the much-hyped album will come with an app upon pre-order at iTunes on August 19.

At that same day, the first single, “Applause” (co-written with DJ White Shadow), will also be available for purchase.

Lady Gaga shares to Women’s Wear Daily about the song, “I’ll tell you that it is very fun. And that it’s full of happiness, because what I’m saying in the song essentially is that I live for the applause. I live for the way you cheer and scream for me.”

The “Born This Way” songstress collaborated once again with photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for Applause‘s artwork, who also did her recent nude V Magazine shoot that caused so much online buzz.

Conversely, Gaga is now wrapped in layers of colorful make-up and capped off with a head wrap and white fabric; in short, Gaga just being herself.

And to prove that she’s back with a vengeance, Lady Gaga will be returning to the spotlight on August 25 via a performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn.
