Lori Loughlin’s daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli haven’t abandoned her in the wake of the college admissions cheating scandal, despite a false report. Gossip Cop can correct the phony article. We’ve learned the young girls are supporting their mom amid her legal troubles.

According to the National Enquirer, Olivia, 19, and Bella, 20, have turned their backs on their mom as she prepares for next month’s trial in the college bribery scandal. The actress and her husband Mossimo are facing more than 20 years each in prison after being accused of paying $ 500,000 in bribes to get their daughters enrolled into the University of Southern California. The spouses have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, which include conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, and money laundering.

“Lori misses her girls something awful, but they want nothing to do with her,” an alleged source tells the magazine. “She only knows what they’re up to through friends and social media.” The supposed insider adds, “Not having her girls around to support her is devastating. She’s feeling abandoned by her own children.” The questionable tipster goes on to say it’s been months since the Full House star has spent significant time with either of her daughters.

Nothing about the tabloid’s story is remotely accurate. In fact, both Olivia and Bella wished their mom a happy birthday on Instagram last month. Olivia posted a photo of her mom holding her as a baby, along with the caption, “happy birthday. i love you so much.” Bella also posted a picture of her and Loughlin, and added, “happy birthday mama. I love you.” It’s fairly clear the girls haven’t shunned their mom when they’re celebrating her birthday and sharing their love for her on social media.

People magazine, a much more reliable source for celebrity news than the Enquirer, reported less than two weeks ago that Loughlin’s daughters “are firmly standing by her — and will continue to do so.” The reputable outlet noted that should the actress get any jail time, her two girls will be “the first ones to visit her.” Gossip Cop also checked with a source close to the actress, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but confirms the tabloid’s story is completely untrue.

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time the Enquirer has capitalized on Loughlin’s legal issues with a fake story about her. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming John Stamos had “betrayed” his Full House co-star by pitching a prequel that wouldn’t involve her character. In the time since we debunked that bogus report, the actor defended his co-star in an interview with GQ. This latest article pitting Loughlin’s daughters against her is more nosnoese.
