Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Arguing Over Whether To ‘Raise Family In Australia’?

Have Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth been arguing over whether to “raise a family” in his native Australia? That was the claim in one of the tabloids exactly one year ago today. At the time, Gossip Cop said it was untrue, and after the fires in California destroyed their Malibu home last November, the couple has made even clearer where they want to live.

On February 25, 2018, Life & Style reported Cyrus and Hemsworth were clashing over where to eventually bring up their kids. The magazine asserted Hemsworth wanted to return to Australia, where much of his family still lives. The outlet even noted that Hemsworth’s brother Chris is “much happier” living Down Under than in Los Angeles.

To give the impression that its story was based on inside information, the publication contended it had a “source” who had learned Cyrus and Hemsworth were constantly “fighting” over where to “raise a family.” The tabloid’s alleged tipster insisted that while the singer was happy putting down her roots in Malibu, Hemsworth didn’t want to be “surrounded by [entertainment] industry people” all the time. The magazine further maintained Hemsworth isn’t “dazzled” at all by Southern California and wanted to bring up his children in Australia.

But after digging and talking to sources in Cyrus’s camp 12 months ago, Gossip Cop reported both the singer and actor were on the same page about making Malibu their home. Actually, in the wake of the wildfires that burned down their house there, the two couldn’t have been more vocal or supportive of their beach community. In fact, days after their house was reduced to rubble, Cyrus and Hemsworth donated $ 500,000 to The Malibu Foundation, a relief organization created to assist those in need.

Following the announcement of their gift, a rep for Cyrus explained that Malibu is “very special” to the couple, and they wanted to offer help to the neighborhood that “created so many beautiful memories” for them. Hemsworth himself posted a message on Instagram, following the devastating fires, in which he thanked the community for pulling together, before adding, “I love you Malibu.” Significantly, the home they lived in was actually bought by Hemsworth, not Cyrus.

Currently, the newlyweds have been spending a lot of time in Nashville, where they wed, until they rebuild and move back to Malibu. Hemsworth is not angling to have his wife move to Australia. It was false 365 days ago that Cyrus and Hemsworth were fighting over where to live, and it’s even more apparent now the tabloid was wrong.

It bears mentioning how Life & Style has not been terribly accurate when it comes to tales about the couple. For example, Gossip Cop busted the outlet back in 2016 when it incorrectly alleged in a cover story that Cyrus was pregnant. And the article a year ago today about them arguing whether or not to raise a family on Australia was similarly off-base. Simply, time has proven the publication to be unreliable about Hemsworth and Cyrus.
