Sandra Bullock Calling Off Wedding To Bryan Randall?

Sandra Bullock is not calling off her wedding to Bryan Randall, despite a bogus tabloid report. There was no ceremony planned in the first place. Gossip Cop can correct the inaccurate story.

According to the National Enquirer, the actress was set to walk down the aisle with her boyfriend of more than three years, but had a change of heart because she doesn’t want the photographer adopting her two kids. An alleged insider tells the magazine, “Sandy loves Bryan, but she doesn’t want to have to deal with the possibility of a custody war should they ever break up.”

The outlet’s supposed source goes on to say that Bullock thought of getting up a prenup to prevent Randall from having legal rights to her children, but “an attorney told her a prenup wouldn’t protect her parental rights with the kids, so she’s just shutting down his proposal altogether.” The questionable tipster adds, “Bryan’s been great with the kids – but she refuses to let herself get boxed in.”

The tabloid’s report is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable “source,” but Bullock’s rep is going on the record to dismiss it. The actress and her boyfriend never had a wedding in the works. The magazine’s entire scenario is fictional.

In addition to being fabricated, the publication’s story doesn’t actually make sense. If Randall were to marry the actress, he would become the stepfather of her two children, but he wouldn’t automatically become their legal parent. Stepparents have to go through an adoption process to have rights to their stepchildren. Marriage alone doesn’t make it legally binding, so the magazine’s premise is erroneous.

It should also be noted, Bullock said in a 2015 interview with People magazine that she doesn’t plan on getting married again, adding, “But I can see myself in a committed, safe relationship where there is lots of love and laughter.” That what she’s found with Randall, but the actress’s views on marriage haven’t changed.

Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted the Enquirer’s sister outlet, Life & Style, for wrongly reporting that Bullock was pregnant with Randall’s baby. This latest story makes no mention of the actress expecting a child. The magazine’s other sister outlet, In Touch, falsely claimed earlier this year that Bullock and Randall were already secretly married. These relative publications can’t seem to decide on a consistent storyline about the actress. This latest one is as untrue as the rest of them.
