Wynter Gordon Ditches Writing For Others, Launches Solo Career

Wynter Gordon

It looks like J. Lo, Danity Kane, Mary J. Blige and various other artists looking for their next big hit will have to look elsewhere. Wynter Gordon the hit making song writer behind those and other stars hits has announced that she’s exiting the third party song writing game for a while so she can focus on her own career.

According to PopEater:

After bringing Atlantic Records executives to tears during her showcase, Wynter is finally taking center stage and putting the finishing touches on her debut album, ‘With the Music I Die,’ due out in 2011.

Some of Gordon’s song writing credits include four songs for Jennifer Lopez: What Is Love”, “What Is Love Part II”, “Starting Over” and “Everybodys Girl”, a collaboration with Flo Rida on his hit “Sugar” which she co-wrote and several Danity Kane songs: “2 of You” and “Do Me Good” among others.

Are you excited for Wynter Gordon to release her first solo project? I’m not a fan of her genre, but it’s always nice to see musicians who can write and perform their own music.
