SHAWN Thomas has been arrested for irritating the police. For filming police in a Crown Heights subway station, Police Officer Rojas nicked Thomas. That arrest was  – of course - filmed by a passer by.
When the matter came before the court, Rojas failed to show up. So. Thomas had to go away. And come back again on June 17.
But Thomas has been seen in court. The site Photography Is Not a Crime explains:
…Thomas is back in court again over another arrest from last October where he was accused of recording inside a courtroom, which he never did, so they charged him with disorderly conduct, accusing him of using profanity, which he never did, seizing his phone and demanding he provide them with his passcode, which he never did.
That arrest, which he describes in great detail on his blog,  took place outside a courtroom within minutes after a judge dismissed a case against him from a June 2013 arrest where he was video recording outside an NYPD police station in an attempt to identify the cops who had arrested in January of that year for recording them making an aggressive arrest, which he also goes into detail on that same blog post, especially about a dirty cop named  Sgt. Mohammed Karimzada.
And he only resorted to recording the police station (video below) after the district attorney’s office continually refused to provide the names of the arresting officers during the discovery process, even though they falsely accused him of possessing a stun gun, which is illegal in New York City,  not that they were ever able to produce said weapon.
Incredible. The police can film you with impunity, treat you like a criminal waiting to pounce. But when you film them, it’s a crime.

I’m sure Drew Barrymore’s got her hands full with baby Frankie. Her interview with REDBOOK was likely before she gave birth. I wonder if they photoshopped the cover, knowing it would be released after she had the baby, or if Drew posed for the photoshoot a while ago? Regardless, she looks amazing, doesn’t she? Drew was open when she sat down for her interview. RELATED: Drew Barrymore welcomes daughter #2!
Drew Barrymore on being surprised that her husband chose her instead of a long, tall Upper East Side lady: “I would love to have long, thin arms, I really would  but I don¹t. I can run a company, so maybe I am just going to have fatter arms and run a company wearing sleeves? That is my balance; nobody gets to have it all. I would take wearing sleeves and running a company. Not that running a company is the key to happiness, but while I may not be tall and thin, I am capable. Will [being with me], it does surprise me and it doesn¹t surprise me. However, knowing his personality and what he finds humorous and attractive and appealing, I¹m like, ‘Okay, got it!’”
On raising her daughters to understand responsibility: “I would really like to raise kids to do summer jobs and intern, and understand that if you are supposed to be somewhere at 3 o¹clock, you need to be there at 3 o¹clock.”
On making time for her girlfriends: “I fight to carve out the time. My friends are such a priority because they were what I had for most of my life. We are really close. I wish we could play more often, but everyone is so busy it¹s insane. But to go over to each other’s houses on a Sunday to check-in, just get on the phone and talk: ‘How are you? Do you need anything?’ Really trying to be there is important. If I was ever in a bind, no one on the planet would have my back more than my friends.”
Drew on Adam Sandler, her co-star in Blended (in theaters May 2014): “Some comedians are really dark in person, and that’s heartbreaking. Adam is a genuinely nice, positive person. He doesn¹t have a mean-spiritedness to his comedy or to his nature. We both really care about goodness.”
