Kendall Jenner is not a lesbian, despite a new tabloid story that tries to out the model. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim.
The allegation can be found in the pages of this week’s OK!. The magazine alleges Jenner is “out of the closet” after she supposedly “revealed to close friends she is gay.” A so-called “source” claims, “Kendall is a lesbian. She’s only just started talking about it with her inner circle.”
As proof, OK! points to Jenner’s lack of a “high-profile romantic relationship,” as if that’s some kind of indicator of a person’s sexuality. The outlet goes on to say that “as Kendall’s intensely-felt friendships — with Gigi [Hadid], Hailey Baldwin, Cara Delevingne and others on her haute-couture circuit — have blossomed,” she’s started “developing romantic feelings for women.” Apparently the outlet thinks having strong friendships with females is another sign of an individual’s orientation.
The story further quotes its supposed “source” as saying that the “openly bisexual” Delevingne “has played a critical role” in getting Jenner to “accept her feelings.” The magazine even sensationally includes a playful Instagram photo of Jenner and Delevingne “canoodling” in bed together, with its tipster saying “there are more than a few people who think they’ve hooked up.” Conveniently, though, the piece ends by saying Jenner won’t be telling her family about her newfound sexual identity “anytime soon.”
First off, Gossip Cop already busted rumors that Jenner and Delevingne were dating back in June when sister publication Star floated the allegation. Second, we must remind you that this is OK! — the same publication that in April claimed Jenner confessed to an affair with Scott Disick, before alleging a few weeks later that she wanted to get a boob job to “impress” Justin Bieber. The tabloid has a wild imagination that is not rooted in reality, and there’s not even any consistency.
Also, it’s worth noting that in a recent blog post on her official website, Jenner wrote about looking for a boyfriend (emphasis ours). She’s also currently on vacation with former beau Harry Styles, and based on the latest photos, they look quite cozy together. But whatever the status of Jenner’s love life, OK! has no business declaring her a lesbian.
