Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is jumping from the TV screen to the written page, announcing plans to write and release her first book.

The book according to PEOPLE is currently titled A Shore Thing and will be released by book publisher Simon & Schuster.

Back in February Polizzi joked about a book on her Twitter account:

I have mind blowing news! I am officially reading my first bo! Lmao! Nicholas Sparks “dear John!” … I’m proud of myself.”

The book surrounds a girl who looks for and find love at the shore…yeah we know, it sounds like a real snore fest.

Polizzi released the following statement about her first foray into writing:

“I’m pumped to announce to my fans a project that I’ve been working on for some time,” adding “This book will have you falling in love at the shore.”

The Hillstrands are being sued by Discovery Channel for $3 million, claiming that they failed to show up for a spinoff of Deadliest Catch called The Hillstrands. That lawsuit, which could cost the family their boat and crew has led to three captains leaving the show.

The Hillstrands told The Hollywood Reporter that they were unable to continue on the show because of current litigation.

“We have been through a lot over the past year and unfortunately given the current situation with Discovery we are unable to continue participating in Deadliest Catch.”

Leaving the show with Andy and Jonathan Hillstrand is Captain Sig Hansen of the Northwestern, a captain who has been with the show since season 1.

The crab fishermen released the following joint-statement today:

“It has been a fantastic ride, and we wish the best to all of the amazing and supportive Catch fans we have met over the years.”

Earlier this year Captain Phil Harris, another show favorite passed away, however his sons still plan to return for season 7 of the Emmy award winning series.

It’s official, TMZ is reporting that one-time Mel Gibson girlfriend and the mother of his child, Oksana Grigorieva will appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about her explosive relationship with her ex-boyfriend.

Oksana shot to fame over the last several months after claiming that Gibson knocked out her front teeth and then releasing various tapes that have shown Mel Gibson is a less than favorable light….actually that’s putting it nicely, they basically make him sound like a psychopath.

Rumors have circulated that Gibson offered to pay her for her silence, while other rumors have said she has shunned his attempts to buy her out.

With the Oprah Winfrey appearance we will hopefully learn more about Oksana’s motivations for releasing the Gibson tapes.

Susan Boyle’s security team is beefing up their watches after it was reported early this month that Boyle has yet another crazy stalker fan.

According to reports, the unidentified man got a hold of Boyle’s phone number and other personal contact information and has been leaving her scary messages, while claiming to be her brother Gerry.

Susan’s actual brother Gerry told News of the World:

“He is calling Susan and pretending to be me or other relatives. It’s been going on for a while. Susan knows who I am when I get on the phone. She never mistakes me for him. There are some weird people around. But this one is stalking her and has got her number. It is serious. Stalkers can become dangerous.”

It’s not the first case of a creepy fan Susan has run into, earlier this year she returned home to a teen intruder who was taking a “tour” of her house. Later on she received many letters from an American woman who flew to West Lothian, Scotland to be with Boyle.

According to PopCrunch Gerry believes stalker cases are getting worse for his sister and he wants more protection for her:

“Susan knows having stalkers goes with the territory. She’s massively well known so having people interested in her is going to happen. It’s down to her management to work it out for her. How has someone been able to contact her? Our family have very serious reservations about whether she has enough security at the moment. She needs protection or it’s a matter of time.”

“Mark Chapman killed John Lennon because he knew he was an easy target with no security. That’s the same as Susan right now. I’ve been telling them that for ages. It is scary.”

If Susan Boyle has one safety net going for her it’s that she’ll be jet setting across the globe over the next year, hopefully keeping her a few steps ahead of the crazies.

Big Bang Theory co-stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki dates for two years without any fans of the show knowing about their romance. The couple called it quits “around the holidays” according to the October issue of Watch Magazine.

Cuoco told the magazine they never went out in public together so they could keep the relationship private.

“It was such a huge part of my life and no one knew about it. It was a wonderful relationship but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together. We were so protective of ourselves and the show and didn’t want anything to ruin that. But that also made it sad, too. That’s not the kind of relationship I want — I don’t want to be hiding.”

Cuoco says the split was amicable and they remain friends:

“We weren’t destined to be together… We accepted it,” Kaley said. “When you’re dealing with two professionals who have been working since they were both 4 — and who kept their lives extremely private — we didn’t want anything other than that.”

Nick Cannon wants to have two parties for his 30th birthday, one in Los Angeles and one in New York and to foot the bill The New York Post’s Page Six has discovered that Cannon and wife Mariah Carey are looking for sponsors!

Cannon’s reps have been spotted sending out mass emails to corporations to solicit sponsorship. The event is expected to draw big names including Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore among many other big industry names.

Apparently the email reads:

“This is an extremely exciting opportunity to sponsor a fun and lavish event? opportunities range from gift bags and signage to tweets and photo ops.”

For the low price of just $2,500 a sponsor will get a feature in the gift bag being given to all guests in attendance, while a $15,000 donation will guarantee “one Tweet” for the company sponsoring the event, they’ll also get a “mention in all public relations materials.”

If your company has deeper pockets, for $25,000 a company can become the official “Host Sponsor,” which brings with it “three Tweets,” a “right to service out photos,” and a “logo on all collateral.”

In other news, I’m offering $500 “Host Sponsor” titles for my birthday, in attendance will be my wife, my puppy and my cat. I’ll also send out 50 Tweets and take photos.
