People are NOT here for Kevin Spacey‘s apology to Anthony Rapp.

As we previously reported, on Sunday, the Rent star accused the Oscar winner of making a sexual advance towards him back when he was only 14. In response to Rapp’s allegation, the House of Cards actor claimed he had no recollection of the incident, but noted that it was likely just “deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.”

Spacey also seemingly attempted to pivot the conversation away from the predatory claims to that of his sexuality as he confirmed that he is, in fact, gay. Unsurprisingly, Kevin’s admission was met with intense backlash from many — including Rose McGowan, Billy Eichner, Rosie O’Donnell, etc.

The first part of Selena Gomez and Francia Raisa‘s TODAY interview is finally here!

As we previously reported, the duo sat down with Savannah Guthrie to talk about the singer’s recent kidney transplant. In a short teaser, we saw the Wolves artist explain how her BFF/kidney donor actually saved her life amid her Lupus battle.

In the first segment, Selly fought tears as she opened up about her “life or death” situation:

“I had arthritis. My kidneys were shutting down. My mentality was just to keep going.”

And she was just weeks away from dialysis, a treatment to help purify the blood when the kidneys aren’t working.

As her best friend and roommate, Francia saw first-hand the pain Selena was in. Recalling the moment when Selena told her about needing a transplant, she shared:

“One day she came home, and she was emotional. I hadn’t asked anything. I knew that she hadn’t been feeling well. She couldn’t open a water bottle one day and she chucked it and just started crying. And she goes, ‘I don’t know what to do. The list is seven to ten years long.’ And it just vomited out of me. I was like, ‘Of course I’ll get tested.'”

The Dear White People actress went through the full evaluations to see if she’d be a match, completing a process that usually takes about six months in a single day because of the “emergency” situation.

Selena knew it wasn’t likely, but:

“The fact that she was a match, I mean, that’s unbelievable.”

Of course it doesn’t make the surgery any less scary. Francia revealed she had to write her own will beforehand, even adding her mom was hesitant about her decision, but “she loves Selena and so she was torn.”

The day of the transplant wasn’t easy either.

Following the surgery, the singer was starting to rest when she felt an intense pain:

“I was freaking out. It was a six-hour surgery that they had to do on me, ad the normal kidney process is actually two hours. Apparently one of the arteries had flipped. I’m very thankful that there are people who know what to do in that situation.”

In the months following the process, the 25-year-old confessed she is feeling so much healthier:

“As soon as I got the kidney transplant, my arthritis went away. My lupus —there’s about a 3-5 percent chance it’ll ever come back. My blood pressure is better. My energy, my life has been better.”

The two friends hope to raise awareness by opening up about their journey together:

“I just hope that this inspires people to feel good. To know that there is really good people in the world.”

Celebrities are reacting to Anthony Rapp revealing that when he was 14 years old, Kevin Spacey made a sexual advance on the then-teenaged Broadway star. After Rapp’s allegations were published on Sunday, Spacey apologized to him and also came out as gay. See Hollywood stars’ reactions here to Rapp bravely sharing his harrowing experience, as well as to Spacey seemingly pivoting from his inexcusable behavior to instead acknowledge he’s gay.

Earlier, Rapp shared with Buzzfeed that in 1986, when he was a 14-year-old actor on Broadway, he was invited to a party at Spacey’s New York apartment. At the end of the evening, Rapp recalled Spacey lifted him “like a groom picks up the bride over the threshold,” and put him down on a bed, where he laid on top of the young boy against his will. Rapp noted that he was encouraged to come forward now because of the sexual assault and harassment scandal surrounding Harvey Weinstein. He later added on Twitter, “I came forward with my story, standing on the shoulders of the many courageous women and men who have been speaking out to shine a light and hopefully make a difference, as they have done for me.”

In the wake of Rapp’s allegation, Spacey issued a statement in which he both came out of the closest and apologized to the “Star Trek: Discovery” star for his “deeply inappropriate drunken behavior” that he claims he doesn’t remember from more than three decades ago. After noting that he has “a lot of respect and admiration” for Rapp as an actor, Spacey said, “I am sorry,” and claimed it “encouraged” him to publicly admit, “I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I choose now to live as a gay man.”

Since Spacey’s statement (below), a number of celebrities have shared their reactions to both Rapp’s revelation and Spacey’s response. Rose McGowan, who has been vocal about having been sexually assaulted by Weinstein, tweeted, “Dear fellow media: Keep focus on #AnthonyRapp BE THE VICTIM’S VOICE. Help us level the playing field.” She continued in another message, “Bye bye, Spacey goodbye, it’s your turn to cry, that’s why we’ve gotta say goodbye. #ROSEARMY.” Meanwhile, Debra Messing wrote to Rapp, “You are brave, and my heart breaks for that 14 year old.”

Noting how Spacey pivoted from apologizing to Rapp for the hurt he caused him, and instead the opportunity to come out as gay, Billy Eichner wrote, “That Kevin Spacey statement. Nope. Absolutely not. Nope.” He added, “Kevin Spacey has just invented something that has never existed before: a bad time to come out.” Gossip Cop will continue to update as more celebrities react to Rapp exposing Spacey’s sexual advance on him when he was just 14, and how the older actor shifted the conversation from taking responsibility for his actions to revealing he’s gay.

Katie Holmes didn’t dump Jamie Foxx because he couldn’t “make a commitment,” despite a new report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this made-up story. Virtually everything in the article about why they’re “over” is untrue.

After referencing the photos of Foxx and Holmes walking on a Malibu beach together, OK! writes, “What started out as a harmless photo opportunity blew up into a huge fight between Katie and Jamie, one that ultimately resulted in a couple calling it quits.” Next, a totally misinformed or simply fictitious “insider” suggests that Holmes was behind the paparazzi pictures. The off-base source tells the untrustworthy tabloid, “Katie was so determined for them to come out of hiding. She’d been really piling on the pressure, so he went along with it, but afterward, he had to admit the whole thing bugged him.”

The magazine’s alleged “insider” says once the photos on the beach emerged, “Jamie questioned why they needed to parade around in front of the world like that,” which prompted Holmes to supposedly ask “whether he saw them getting married down the line,” and he didn’t answer her. The often inaccurate tabloid maintains that after Holmes allowed Foxx to “become so intertwined in her and 11-year-old daughter Suri’s life, she thought they were surely headed that way.” “She’d assumed that going public was the first big step in getting Jamie to ultimately make a commitment. She hoped he would propose, or at least invite her to move in with him permanently,” continues the seemingly fabricated “insider.”

But when that didn’t happen, asserts the publication, Holmes allegedly felt she needed to “draw a line in the sand.” The highly suspect “insider” concludes, “Katie is too strong to be messed with like that, so she ended it… She can’t believe how terribly he’s let her down.” And while the magazine’s account is all very dramatic, it is not remotely accurate.

As Gossip Cop has repeatedly mentioned, the pictures of Holmes and Foxx were not a “photo opportunity.” On the contrary, they were invasive paparazzi pictures, taken with long lenses unbeknownst to the two stars. That’s why the magazine’s claims about the actress being “so determined for them to come out of hiding” and Foxx having “went along with it” are nothing more than lies. Consequently, the contention of the so-called “insider” about how “Jamie questioned why they needed to parade around in front of the world like that” is absurd. Neither he nor Holmes had sought to have their casual relationship exposed like that.

Additionally, the assertions that Foxx’s life is “intertwined” with Holmes’s daughter Suri, who he’s never met, and that the actress believed “going public” would lead him to “propose” to her are farcical. It appears the only reason the tabloid came to the conclusion that Holmes “ended it” with Foxx is simply because they have not been spotted together since the photos of them on the beach in Malibu. Gossip Cop looked into the story and almost none of it is remotely accurate. Neither Foxx nor Holmes had sought the publication of the paparazzi pictures nor were they even aware they were being taken at the time.

Also, the relationship has never been anything more than casual, so the contention that Holmes was looking for the lifelong bachelor to pop the question is ridiculous. Sources close to both Holmes and Foxx have assured Gossip Cop the entire article is a fabrication. Of course, few should be surprised, given how many times OK! has splashed complete lies about them on the cover of its magazine.

While Gossip Cop could list the numerous times the tabloid has been dead wrong about Holmes and Foxx, we’ll limit our proof to just a couple of examples. For instance, nearly two years ago in January 2016, we exposed the publication when it falsely exclaimed, “Wedding & A Baby” for Foxx and Holmes. In that piece of fiction, the outlet maintained they were getting married, starting a family together, and that Holmes’ ex-husband Tom Cruise even gave her his “blessing.”

That preposterously fabricated report was quickly followed up by another equally untrue cover story in March 2016 about a pregnant Holmes having a baby girl with Foxx. Once again, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for asserting they found out the actress was expecting on Valentine’s Day and that Cruise sent his ex-wife a “$ 2,500 bouquet of flowers” to congratulate her. Those were all lies, as is the current tale about Holmes dumping Foxx because he couldn’t “make a commitment.”

This is SO moving.

On Friday night at the Hollywood Bowl in El Lay, Linkin Park performed for the first time since Chester Bennington‘s suicide in July, and they made sure he was front and center in their minds and hearts during the powerful, emotional evening.

Mike Shinoda performed Looking for an Answer, which you can watch (above), during the concert and left barely a dry eye in the house as the group honored Bennington’s memory.

Other artists were in the building, too — including Blink-182, Machine Gun Kelly, System of a Down, and No Doubt — but Shinoda and Linkin Park stole the show with their powerful tribute and lasting legacy.

The night was all set up in Chester’s honor, with performers donating their fees to Music For Relief‘s One More Light fund, which had initially been set up as a charity in Chester’s honor.

Powerful stuff.
