Julia Roberts Says She’s Strict About Sweets

Julia Roberts may have spent a lot of time indulging in gelato and other goodies on the set of “Eat, Pray, Love”, but the actress shared that her kids aren’t allowed many sweet treats.

“I’m a pretty strict mom when it comes to sweets, Even though I have such a sweet tooth myself.”

“You want sweets, ice cream and cake to be a great treat and a celebration,” she says. “Something that’s not everyday. I think this makes them appreciate it when they do have it.”

Julia’s co-star, Richard Jenkins, gushed at the premiere last night about what a terrific mom he thinks she is:

“She’s an unbelievably devoted mom,” “She’s in every scene of this film, and every time we cut for lunch, she went back to her kids and had lunch with them everyday. She’s always happier on her way to see them, and the kids would light up when they saw her. She’s the best.”

Javier Bardem, Richard Jenkins, Julia Roberts, Josh Brolin (with his stepdaughter), and the author of the book, Elizabeth Gilbert, all turned up on the red carpet for the NYC premiere of ‘Eat, Pray, Love’ last night.
