KANYE WEST & KIM KARDASHIAN Kanye Says Wedding Pic Had To Be Perfect Because Of Kim’s “Importance To The Internet”

Oh boy. Marriage hasn’t toned down Kanye West in the slightest (not that anyone was expecting it would). Kanye said he and Kim Kardashian spent four days of their honeymoon getting the above wedding pic just right. He explained why during a panel at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity yesterday. RELATED: Is Kanye dissing Jay Z after wedding snub?

Kanye said they had to work hard on the Instagram pic because celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz backed out at the last minute.

Annie Leibovitz pulled out right before the wedding. I think that she was, like, scared of the idea of celebrity. Because Annie pulled out, I was like, ‘Okay, I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz,’ and we sat there and worked on that photo [above] for, like, four days because the flowers were off-color.
“Let me tell you something about that kiss photo that my girl put up … this was pi**ing my girl off during the honeymoon, she was exhausted because we worked on the photo so much. Can you imagine telling someone … who’s the No. 1 person on Instagram, ‘We need to work on the color of the flower wall,’ or the idea that it’s a Givenchy dress, and it’s not about the name Givenchy, it’s about the talent that is Riccardo Tisci — and how important Kim is to the Internet. And the fact the No. 1 most-liked photo [on Instagram] has a kind of aesthetic was a win for what the mission is, which is raising the palette.”

FOUR DAYS trying to get the flower colors right. I bet Kim was ready to scream– LOL. Kanye also talked about the importance of having taste.

I think bad taste is vulgar — it’s like cursing. I believe the world can be saved by design because, what is the most vulgar thing someone could do? Kill someone, so good taste is the opposite of that.”

Okay. Comments can be very revealing, can’t they? I think Kanye equates attention with importance. I’m not sure I agree with him (actually, I know I don’t), but I understand where he’s coming from.
