Cate Blanchett was spotted taking her sons, Dashiell and Ignatius, out for a walk on what looks like a chilly day in New York City. Maybe this walk will help her calm her nerves!

Cate’s next role is playing Blanche DuBois in ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ on Broadway, and the Oscar-winning actress admitted to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) that she’s nervous about taking on the iconic role.

“We are bringing an American classic back to American audiences, so of course that’s nerve-wracking,” Blanchett said… “It’s also pretty exciting. [The audiences] are very astute, and particularly out of BAM [where the play opens Friday].”

I think Cate will be fantastic, don’t you?

It has just been announced that the next ‘Star Trek‘ is in the works. I was never a “trekkie”, but I did like the remake with Zachary and Chris Pine. I’m excited to see where they take us next.

Katherine Heigl was seen out with husband, Josh Kelley, heading to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate her 31st birthday in Los Angeles last night. Naturally, they went to Beso – Eva Longoria’s establishment.

What do you think about those maroon booties she has on? They definitely add a pop of color to her all black outfit.

More celebrities doing good! Ali Lohan and Dina Lohan join community leaders in serving over 200 people with autism and other disabilities for a pre-Thanksgiving luncheon at Harbor Links Club and Grill on Long Island today.

I had to post these pictures because I’m just floored over Ali. She looks like a teenager here, doesn’t she? We usually see her so dressed up and looking much older than her actual age. It’s nice to see her supporting her community and looking like a typical teen.

Hugh Jackman has lined up his next project, and it looks like a winner! The movie is called ‘Real Steel,’ and it’s being executive produced by Steven Spielberg. ‘Real Steel’ is based on a short story by Richard Matheson.

Story centers on a fighter who has to reinvent himself when human boxers are replaced by robots. Jackman will play a struggling Robot Boxing promoter who finds a discarded robot that always seems to win. He also discovers he has a 11-year-old son, and they bond as the robot brawls its way toward the top.

Although grounded in the father-son relationship… the film [is] a “rousing sports movie” with Jackman’s character “a former boxer who can no longer do the only job he’s good at, and one particular robot that may be his return to grace.”

With Hugh and Steven involved, it certainly looks promising. Interested?

Food Network cook Paula Deen was in Atlanta yesterday for the annual Hosea Feed the Homeless charity event. They were loading hams in the truck when someone tossed one that hit her in the face!

Luckily, Paula had a good sense of humor about it afterwards.

“I think it might have hit maybe just right where, I thought it busted my lip, but it didn’t,” said Deen.

While Deen managed to escape visible injury, she did say the area around her nose hurt.

“I just got hit with a hog so what do I expect said Deen through laughter. “Ran head on to a hog.”

Then Paula took to twitter to declare:

I haven’t met the ham that could stop me yet! Y’all it’s just the best feeling to help others

I was worried when I heard ‘Cougartown’ had to halt filming so Courteney Cox could attend to a family matter, but whatever happened has been resolved: Courteney is returning to work on November 30.

The nature of the family issue wasn’t disclosed. But Cox’s reps confirm to PEOPLE the actress and her family are fine and that she’ll be returning to work following the Thanksgiving hiatus.

One of Courteney’s co-stars, Busy Phillips, twittered this:

Cougartown was only down for one day- we’re back shooting after Thanksgiving. I’ll pass along the love for cc!

E! Online’s Watch with Kristen reported that Courteney’s husband, David Arquette, is filming a movie (‘The Land of the Astronauts’) and never stopped working.

A source close to the actor says filming has been business as usual in recent days with “no apparent” family issues interfering.

“David is a pro and seems to talk to his family often,” the source says.

Well, whatever it was, I’m glad everything seems to be better!

Here’s Kate Hudson picking up a few goodies from a beauty salon in LA. The actress has created a lot of buzz with her performance in ‘Nine’. In fact, some are hoping she end up on Broadway.

Nicole Kidman said: “I came into the rehearsal and I saw Kate dancing up a storm. That was my first day and I was very jet-lagged but I went, ‘Wow, that was amazing.’ I can’t wait for people to see that part of her. Maybe she’ll do a Broadway show out of this because she so deserves the lead in a show.”

And director Rob Marshall couldn’t agree more: “She (Hudson) has this hidden talent that nobody knows about. She opened her mouth to sing and there was this incredible singer and then when she moved I saw this proper dancer. She was a knock-out and it was thrilling to discover. I’m so proud of what she did in this film.”

Can’t wait to see Kate work her magic!

Jude Law and Sienna Miller appeared to be “more than just friends” during a night out.

The former couple – who split up in November 2006 after the ‘Alfie’ star had an affair with his children’s nanny – fueled speculation they have rekindled their romance during a visit to New York nightspot The Box on Thursday where their intimate behavior attracted attention.

One onlooker said:

“They came in together and got a table with a few friends around 1am. At one point, Jude ordered shots for the two of them, and he was egging her on to take one. They were laughing a lot and whispering to each other – it looked like they were genuinely having a good time.

“They certainly looked like more than just friends.”

During the evening, Jude – who is currently starring in a Broadway production of ‘Hamlet’ – was approached by several women but was quick to turn down their advances. The source added to the New York Daily News newspaper:

“Jude’s a regular at The Box and a lot of people know him there so he had a ton of people coming up to say hi to him, many of them female, but he really only seemed interested in Sienna. It looked like he wanted people to see that they were together.”
