Charles Manson Attorney Asks Obama To Set Him Free
February 23rd, 2011 — Divorce
Giovanni Di Stefano, the long time lawyer for serial killer Charles Manson has reached out to President Obama, asking the President to set his client free.
Di Stefano, the same guy who tried to help Saddam Hussein says that Manson was simply a cult leader and not a murderer as he has been made out to be by some of his former followers and much of the press.
The lawyer tells TMZ that at worse Manson told his followers to “do something witchy” but never said to commit acts of murder on his behalf.
According to Di Stefano:
“Manson has been made out in America to be the Satan of the criminal justice system. He does not deserve the title.”
For some reason I don’t think Obama will be responding or if he does it will be with a form letter than says “You’re insane Mr. Di Stefano.”
Justin Bieber Surprises Ellen DeGeneres With Hair to Give to Charity
February 23rd, 2011 — Divorce
(Michael Rozman/Warner Bros.)
Justin Bieber makes a surprise guest appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which airs later today, and not only talks about his new shorter haircut, but also gives DeGeneres a lock of his cut off hair.
Here’s a little bit from Bieber’s chat with Ellen DeGeneres:
Ellen: Look at your cute little haircut! You got a brand new haircut. Don’t you love his haircut? Cheers I like it.
Justin: I was inspired by yours.
Ellen: By my haircut?
Justin: By yours.
Ellen: I know, eventually it’d come around. It’s adorable. Were people like, “Hey, don’t cut it!” Were people freaking out?
Justin: Yeah, but I was like, “I don’t really care.”
Ellen: I like it because you can’t do the same thing over and over again. You have to change it up. I think it’s great. I love your haircut.
Justin: Thank you.
Then Bieber gives DeGeneres a belated birthday gift. (Her birthday was January 26.)
Ellen: Is it really your hair?
Justin: Yes, it’s really my hair. But there’s a perk. I wanted to do something good. I’m giving pieces of it to different people.
Ellen: So I’m not the only one getting it? I asked a long time ago for it.
Justin: The thing is, we’re doing something special. We want you to donate it to whatever charity you want.
Ellen: Really? I can auction it off if I put it on my website?
Justin: Yes.
Ellen: You have to sign this and also. And it’s your hair for sure. It’s not that doll hair you tried to give me before.
Justin: Yes. It’s my hair.
Ellen: You’re going to sign this and I’m going to auction this off on our website. I’m going to give the money to the Gentle Barn which is a great organization.
(“Gentle Barn” is an animal-rescue center in Santa Clarita, California.)

YouTube Entertaining Idea Of “Celebrity Pay Per Post†Structure
February 23rd, 2011 — Divorce
YouTube is trying to court celebrities to the video sharing website and it looks like they may soon begin paying celebrities to post videos on a regular basis.
According to internet rumors, the Google-owned site has been working with Hollywood talent agents to secure the services of their clients. As part of the deal celebrities will form their own YouTube channels and post videos as they deem fit. Celebrities will still own their content while YouTube would split revenue in some manner with those stars.
With 2 billion pageviews per day (approximate numbers) it shouldn’t come as a surprise that YouTube would want to give exposure to people their visitors know, while it could be great exposure for Hollywood’s top talent if they are someone featured on YouTube pages, including the company’s frontpage where more users find new content.

Glee To Debut Two Original Songs During March 15 Show
February 23rd, 2011 — Divorce
The cast of Glee have performed songs from such popular artists as Madonna, Justin Bieber, Jay-Z, even Michael Jackson but that apparently isn’t good enough for show creator Ryan Murphy who plans to debut two original songs when the series airs on March 15.
Columbia Records on Tuesday announced that the tracks will debut during the show and also released the name of the songs “Loser Like Me” and “Get It Right.” Both songs will also be part of the Glee: The Music, Volume 5 CD which will premiere before the show on March 8.
According to Billboard.com:
“While ‘Get It Right’ is described as a ballad sung by Lea Michele, ‘Loser Like Me’ sees the whole cast collaborating. The song was co-written by Max Martin, most recently known as the co-producer of Britney Spears’ upcoming album, Femme Fatale.â€
It will be interesting to see if the Glee cast can get their own original songs on the Billboard charts, especially after recently passing Elvis for the most songs to reach the Billboard Hot 100.
