When James Franco isn’t stuck under a boulder while cutting his arm off, he can now be spotted cruising the internet via Facebook and Twitter.

The Oscar nominated star finally joined his fellow movie stars on both Twitter and Facebook.

On his official Twitter account on Friday Franco tweeted:

“Hi everybody, here I am on Twitter! This is my FIRST tweet”

He then linked to a verification video to show that it was actually him.

Since joining Twitter Franco has already managed to amass over 131,000 followers and many more should be expected for the Academy Award nominee of 127 hours.

On Facebook Franco is also nearing 130,000 fans, not bad for a guy who prefers independent and lesser known films for the most part over blockbuster films.

As one of my favorite actors of all time I’m following Franco on Twitter and Facebook, I suggest everyone reading this post do the same.

The Justin Bieber haircut is no more! Bieber was seen today in a Tweet with Rascal Flatt’s Jay DeMarcus sporting a brand new crew cut, getting rid of his signature hairstyle.

The pair are currently working on a collaboration piece and after the photo surfaced Bieber said of the new style in a Tweet to his more than 5 million Twitter followers:

“Yeah so it’s true, I got a lil haircut. I like it and we are giving all the hair cut to charity to auction. Details coming soon.”

The Bieber haircut has been one of the most requested styles at the national haircut chain Supercuts and now it looks like boys everywhere will be asking for his new “crew cut” style.

So what do you think of Bieber’s new haircut and I’m not asking 12-year-old girls because he could hit an old man on a bicycle while driving a car and you’d give that action a thumbs up.

After Bieber was pictured with his new hairstyle – alongside Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts, with whom he just shot a video for the group’s song, “That Should Be Me” – the teen star acknowledged: “I just wanted a kind of a change. I didn’t want to cut it all off, but I had had it for three and a half years – I had just gotten sick of it. It was in my eyes. I didn’t want it in my face. I just wanted to change it up.”

But the cut heard ’round the world is more than just The Biebs wanting “a change.”

Bieber also wants to help make change.

He tweeted, “Yeah so it’s true…i got a lil haircut…i like it…and we are giving all the hair cut to CHARITY to auction.”

James Franco is getting ready to co-host the Academy Awards for the first time, and he’s been hard at work on a special version of Cher’s “You Haven’t Seen The Last of Me” (from Burlesque) for Sunday’s telecast.

Sadly, it didn’t make the cut.

Franco just tweeted his moving rendition of “Oscar Song,” along with faux outrage: “they pulled this from the oscar show. damn it.”

We’ll have to wait until Sunday night to see whether he and co-host Anne Hathaway test their musical chops for a worldwide audience.

Justin Bieber teased us on Twitter this morning saying, “thinking about getting a haircut….hmmmmmm.” But he wouldn’t actually do it, would he?!

Cameron Diaz covered up those AMAZING arms of hers when she stepped out for dinner with Alex Rodriguez. The couple had dinner at Matsuhisa in Los Angeles last night.

It probably wasn’t as exciting as when they had dinner with Bill Clinton in Miami, but I’m sure Cameron and Alex enjoyed each other’s company all the same .

There may be some serious drama between one of Leighton Meester’s ‘Gossip Girl’ co-star’s and Leighton’s mother, but Leighton is still hard at work on the set of the cult favorite TV show. I can’t imagine how tense it must be on-set.

But Leighton has a lot to be happy about with her hit movie ‘The Roommate‘ (it was #1 at the box office the weekend it opened). And she looks great, as always, of course.
