Charlie Sheen met last Thursday with three of Fox’s top TV execs, including the network’s chairman Peter Rice.

During the more than an hour-long meeting, Sheen and the execs tried to come up with a show idea for the recently fired “Two and a Half Men” star.

One idea, according to TMZ, was a late-night talk show, though nothing concrete came out of the meeting.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are the subjects of tabloid rumors week after week, generally with the same theme – they and/or their kids are fighting.

And Gossip Cop keeps busy busting those false reports.

Well, despite the repetitious magazine malarky, Brangelina and their brood are perfectly happy together.

In fact, today the celebrity couple and their kids – Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne – hit the streets of New Orleans, where Pitt is shooting the thriller Cogan’s Trade.

The whole clan head out earlier to a favorite Pitt stop – Verti Marte Deli, where they picked up snacks.

Justin Bieber’s film, Never Say Never, has now earned more than Michael Jackson’s This Is It, making it the most successful concert movie domestically.

Bieber made Jackson beat it today with a total (so far) of $72.2 million in U.S. tickets sales, compared to the King of Pop’s $72.1 million domestic take.

And Never Say Never has only been out for six weeks.

Bieber, however, will not outpace the nearly $190 million This Is It earned internationally.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has reportedly been tapped to reteam with his Inception director, Christopher Nolan, for a role in The Dark Knight Rises.

Gossip Cop is investigating, and has sought an official confirmation from the film’s studio, Warner Bros.

While Gordon-Levitt was wrongly reported to have been set to play The Riddler, Variety claims he’ll play Alberto Falcone, son of  mobster Carmine Falcone, played by Tom Wilkinson in Batman Begins.

Should Gordon-Levitt star in the next film, he’ll be joining his Inception costar Tom Hardy, slated to play the villain Bane, and Anne Hathaway, who’s starring at Catwoman.

And, of course, Oscar  winner Christian Bale will reprise his role as Batman.

The Dark Knight Rises is set to hit theaters July 20, 2012.

Lindsay Lohan is considering a plea deal in her felony grand theft case, even though it would mean serving jail time for a crime she maintains she didn’t commit.

Sources tell Gossip Cop that Judge Keith Schwartz has conveyed to Lohan’s defense lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley an offer of three months in jail for the actress, with only about three weeks of that time actually served, due to overcrowding.

Last month, Lohan was charged with felony grand theft for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry boutique on January 22. She has insisted that she is innocent, and previously indicated that she has no intention of pleading guilty or no contest to the charge.

Schwartz has made it very clear that a plea will include jail time.

But should Lohan decide to go to trial, she risks spending at least a year in prison.

Lohan is due back in court this Friday to give her decision.

If she chooses not to accept a plea deal, Lohan will appear before Judge Stephanie Sautner on April 22 for a preliminary trial hearing.

If bad “reporting” is an art, HollywoodLife is Picasso.

Managing to stoop even lower than usual, the outlet asks hopefully, “Is There A Feud Brewing Between Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez & Rebecca Black?”

Gossip Cop can answer: No, no there is not.

But let’s examine just how ridiculous HollywoodLife’s speculation becomes.

According to the site, Black allegedly “cast the first stone by gushing about Selena’s guy Justin Bieber in interviews.”

Seriously? A 13-year-old girl talks about how much she loves Justin Bieber, and it’s supposedly equivalent to attacking his girlfriend?

Nice work, HollywoodLife. Especially considering this girl already receives death threats, and fans have been known to harass anyone linked to Bieber romantically.

“Furthermore, comparisons between Rebecca and Demi have been frequent,” adds HollywoodLife, which illustrates its point by linking to a HollywoodLife article comparing Black and Gomez.

Not Lovato. Gomez.

Yup… HollywoodLife used itself as its own source – and couldn’t even manage to do that right.

“Some have even speculated Rebecca could replace Demi as the next Disney Channel ‘it girl,’” claims the site, which conveniently forgets to cite a single person or outlet who’s ever actually said Black “could replace” Lovato.

“Let’s hope Rebecca doesn’t try to ignite something with Demi’s ex, Joe Jonas… then this pseudo-love triangle might get really ugly!” explains an excited HollywoodLife.

Really?

Jonas is 21 years old.

There’s absolutely nothing at all to suggest that 13-year-old Black wants to “ignite something” with him. Nothing. HollywoodLife isn’t even pretending to inhabit the actual universe anymore.

All HollywoodLife wants to do is spread rumors about Black stealing Lovato’s career and ex-boyfriend.

HollywoodLife wants to pit teenage girls – and their fans – against each other, by creating a feud that does not exist.

It’s cheap and cynical garbage.

“Brit Brit Hires A Tutor To Help Her Learn How To Manage Her Finances,” reads the headline of a Perez Hilton piece, which goes on to report that Britney Spears has “hired a money management tutor from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA to help her understand the basics of finance so she can manage her own affairs!”

The blogger even quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “Britney is moving towards getting control of her life. She wants to win control of her finances. The tutor will help with basic skills – like balancing personal accounts and time management.”

Perez then exclaims, “This is SUCH a positive step in the right direction!” before adding, “Congratulations, gurl! We are so proud of you!”

What would make Gossip Cop proud is if we could finally convince Perez to fact-check (and maybe spell-check, too).

We looked into this story, and guess what’s accurate?

Zero.

Spears has not “hired a money management tutor… to help her understand the basics of finance.”

A rep for the singer tells Gossip Cop that the tutor claim is “completely not true.”

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves spend so much time cooking together that they could fill up a cook book, he says.

He told PopEater:

“We’ve got a whole bunch of things to fill up a cookbook right now. Cooking is one of the main things we do. One and a half hours to two hours a day. We eat out like once every two months because we cook. It’s really great family time from six to eight. Glass of wine and we start mixing up sauces and trying new things. See what we can pull off and we swap, sometimes I’m the cook, sometimes Camila is the cook.”

I’d be curious enough to check it out to see what kind of fun dishes they make! I’m always up for new recipes!
