Taylor Swift is making her cartoon debut in the CGI-animated version of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax, being produced by Universal Pictures.
Swift will voice the lead female role alongside actors Zac Efron and Danny Devito who will play the Lorax. Also voicing Zac’s grandmother is Betty White, because apparently she needs to be in every new project available.
If it’s been a while since you last read the book, it’s about a boy (Efron) who goes in search of ways to win the heart of a girl (Swift), but instead finds out about the mystical creature known as The Lorax.
In a statement released on Thursday Illumination Entertainment Founder Chris Meledandri said:
“In 1970, during his trip to the Serengeti, Ted Geisel (Dr. Seuss) scribbled notes on the back of a napkin. These ideas became the foundation for his favorite book, ‘The Lorax.””
Meledandri went on to state:
“Beyond the story’s indelible themes is an ensemble of unforgettable Seussian characters, and the title creature is both acerbic and adorable. Bringing his sharp humor, enormous heart and deep conscience to the project, Danny DeVito epitomizes the Lorax, and we have an absolutely stellar supporting cast led by Ed, Taylor, Zac, Rob and Betty.â€
The Lorax will reach theaters on March 2, 2012.

Glee star Lea Michele is an official spokeswoman for shoe/sports apparel manufacturer Nike and her new Nike Women Commercial is now avaialable.
According to Lea:
“When I workout I like to be comfortable. For me it’s not about beauty.”
She also says her favorite activities include rock climbing, yoga and hiking, but not all the same time, that would be uber difficult.
Here’s the Lea Michele Nike Commercial:
What do you think of the commercial? Pretty standard fair in our opinion.
