Chuck Lorre’s attorney, Howard Weitzman, has fired back at Charlie Sheen, who earlier today filed a $100 million lawsuit against the “Two and a Half Men” creator and Warner Bros.
Weitzman said in a statement: “The allegations in the complaint against Mr. Lorre are as recklessly false and unwarranted as Mr. Sheen’s rantings in the media… The accusations are simply imaginary. This lawsuit is about a fantasy ‘lottery’ pay-day for Charlie Sheen.”
Weitzman added, “Chuck Lorre’s concern has been and continues to be about Mr. Sheen’s health.”
In legal papers filed today by Sheen’s attorney, Marty Singer, it’s alleged Lorre “believes himself to be so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew… in order to serve his own ego and self-interest, and make the star of the series the scapegoat for Lorre’s own conduct.â€
Sheen was fired from “Two and a Half Men†on Monday and immediately vowed to sue.
It is still not known whether the show will continue with a new actor in Sheen’s place.

Madonna is mourning the death of her grandmother, Elsie Mae Fortin, who passed away yesterday in Bay City, Michigan at the age of 99.
It was Fortin who partially raised Madonna after the singer’s mother succumbed to breast cancer in 1963. Madonna was just five years old at the time.
Shortly before Madonna was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2008, Fortin told her local paper, the Bay City Times, “She’s done things that I didn’t approve of, but at the same time she’s my granddaughter and I still love her and I’m proud of her hard work… She’s been good to me.”
Madonna’s publicist said in a statement: “I’m sorry, but Madonna will not be issuing any statements or conversing with the media regarding her grandmother. It is a totally personal matter to her.”

Nickelodeon has announced a TV movie uniting the casts of its hit series “iCarly” and “Victorious.”
The network will air iParty with Victorious on June 10, bringing together stars Miranda Cosgrove and Victoria Justice for a “movie mash-up” that also features Nickelodeon alumnus (and current “Saturday Night Live” player) Kenan Thompson.
In the film, Cosgrove and Justice’s characters find out they’ve been dating the same young man and set out for (presumably benign) revenge.
“iCarly” and “Victorious,” both created by kids’ TV mogul Dan Schneider, have made Cosgrove and Justice enormous stars among the 18-and-under set.
