Finally, the long wait on the prequel  to The Lord of The Rings Trilogy is underway and currently filming in New Zealand. Orlando Bloom signs up and joins the cast of Peter Jackson’s  “The Hobbit” prequel projects scheduled for release in  2012 and 2013.

Although Bloom’s  previous elf character isn’t written in J.R.R Tolkien’s original novel, Jackson is excited to reveal that Middle Earth will once more revel in Legolas’ presence.  The director can’t wait to work with Bloom and quips that as much as 10 years has passed by since Lord of The Rings brought Orlando’s stardom to great heights,  he doesn’t look a day older than the day he first wowed audiences as Legolas. That in itself, makes him a wonderful elf indeed!

With 14 years  sitting on the drawing board, The “Hobbit” prequel movies finally gets a move on things after getting buried in some set backs.  New Line Cinema had Peter Jackson filing suit against them for claims of lost revenue  related to The Fellowship of the Ring.

Taking on Guillermo del Torro as it’s new director three year later, conflicts in scheduling forced him to drop out of the project in May 2010 bringing Jackson back in his director’s chair in October of 2010.

As if that was enough hoopla surrounding the films, union disputes in New Zealand put the project on a tipped edge of relocating filming all the way to Europe. And just to put the cherry on the delay icing, Jackson suffered from a perforated ulcer and had to undergo surgery.

Now back in the good saddle, Jackson has his Facebook page beaming with images of him hanging out on the set of this much awaited prequel.  Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood, Ian McKellan and Andy Serkis are also  reliving their previous roles from the epic trilogy of The Lord of The Rings. The Hobbit prequel has its plot centred on the characters of Bilbo and Frodo.

Most of you girls out there might have to skip work and take the day off to watch the final episodes of All My Children on ABC, as the show draws to a close this fall. Josh Duhamel is up for a cameo role as his old character in Pine Valley, Leo du Pres.  Yeah, you read that right! Now you can scream into that pillow an breathe. You’re handsome strapping Transformers GI has signed up for this short comeback in honor of the show that took him on an express ride to stardom.

Duhamel rose to fame playing Leo du Pres in this long-running daytime soap. He even won an Emmy in 2002 for his con artist character.  His love interest in the show , Greenlee , who is played by Rebecca Budig, is also back on the set after leaving the program a few time since Josh Duhamel left the show in 2003.

True enough, the cameo appearance of Leo will be one of the highlights of this season ender as we may also expect  another on-screen affair between du Pres and Greenlee.

Apparently, Josh Duhamel isn’t the only actor doing a comeback to his soap beginnings before their beloved series takes the axe. Julian Moore, who starred in As the World Turns many moons ago, also returned to the show last year just prior to the soap leaving the airwaves. On January 2012, ABC will see One Life to Live bowing out of the tubes.  We may just as well see many big screen stars doing their own returns to this soap before it finally sees its last episode on air. These could include, Ryan Phillipe and Tommy Lee Jones.

“Robert Pattinson ‘Breaking Dawn’ Sex Scene — Did He Use a Body Double?” asks HollywoodLife, which rarely knows the answers.

While the bad blog acknowledges Pattinson’s good looks, the site writes that he’s “not so much [known] for being the most muscular of guys.”

HollywoodLife further says it was a “shock to see the very muscular, and very ripped, back he is showing off in the Breaking Dawn trailer. In fact, it is so shocking that it begs the question — did Rob use a body double for his Breaking Dawn sex scene?”

Then the blog suggests, “Maybe Taylor Lautner stepped in for him?”

Maybe some real reporters should step in for HollywoodLife.

Gossip Cop looked into the story and was told by a production source that it was 100 percent Pattinson in the sex scene with Kristen Stewart.

Additionally, a rep for Summit tells us, “A body double was NOT used.”

Justin Bieber just thrilled three of his most famous young fans.

David and Victoria Beckham’s sons – Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz – got a special, musical delivery from The Biebs.

“Thank u @justinbieber for the boys signed guitars!!!” their mum Victoria tweeted this afternoon. “They are so happy!!!!!!!”

Yes, Bieber sent each of the Beckham boys an autographed acoustic guitar, including the note “never say never” on Romeo’s.

We hope they’re as excited when they get their new little sister.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Blake Lively had a “sneaky affair” behind model Bar Refaeli’s back, reports Star magazine.

The mag says DiCaprio and the “Gossip Girl” star have been secretly hooking up for quite some time, and their recent European trip was “a calculated coming-out party for the pair after months of keeping their romance under wraps.”

According to a supposed “insider,” DiCaprio and Lively “began meeting regularly” in November after they were introduced at a business dinner with Baz Luhrmann to discuss his upcoming remake of The Great Gastby.

By March, the pair was allegedly “getting so tight that she [Lively] was slipping away from her hectic duties” on the New York set of “Gossip Girl” to hang out with DiCaprio in L.A.

Well, that would be pretty scandalous… if it actually happened.

Sources close to DiCaprio and Lively tell Gossip Cop the Star story is totally fabricated, and that the two were definitely not hooking up when DiCaprio was dating Refaeli.

Britney Spears talks about her kids in an ET interview as she prepares to launch her much-anticipated Femme Fatale tour.

She explains that her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, will be coming on the road with her, even if they don’t always quite get the whole pop superstar thing.

“They’re really confused with ‘mommy the star’ and mommy,” says Spears. “They’re like, ‘Is that Britney Spears or is that you, Mommy?’”

“And I’m like, ‘It’s the same person.’”

Spears explains that she takes care of many professional commitments in the mornings when her sons are at school, which makes a home life more possible.

Shania Twain wasn’t the only star who had a mishap at last night’s CMT Music Awards.

During her performance of “Collide” with Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow showed off more than just her vocals, flashing her underwear to an appreciative home viewing audience.

Later in the broadcast, Crow acknowledged the wardrobe malfunction.

“People all over America are tweeting that I was wearing a really short skirt when I sang with Kid Rock and that when I got up off the stool, I showed my underwear,” she told co-presenter Sara Evans.

“At least you were wearing underwear,” replied Evans.

The first photo of Sacha Baron Cohen in costume as The Dictator has surfaced.

According to Paramount, “The film tells the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”

The movie is inspired by Zabibah and the King, a book supposedly written by Saddam Hussein about a monarch in the Middle East.

In the film, Cohen plays both the dictator and a lookalike goat herder who replaces him.

It’s directed by Larry Charles, the guy behind Cohen’s hits Borat and Bruno.

The Dictator is scheduled for a May 2012 release.

Kim Kardashian is not giving an inch in her war with Bret Lockett, the NFL player who alleges he had an affair with her.

In a new letter obtained by Gossip Cop, Kardashian’s legal team demands that Lockett admit he’s lied about the relationship.

According to the Kardashian camp, the New England Patriots defensive back is making “numerous false, defamatory and injurious statements” regarding the newly engaged reality TV star.

Lockett claims he and Kardashian had a five-month fling behind her fiancé Kris Humphries‘ back.

Kardashian immediately slammed his story as an outright fabrication.

In the letter, her lawyer says Lockett “is spreading these false and malicious statements about Ms. Kardashian in an attempt to garner publicity.”

“To put it very plainly and clearly, and as Mr. Lockett knows, there is not now, and never has been such a relationship” as described by the NFL player, declares Kardashian’s lawyer.

“Ms. Kardashian does not know and has never even met Mr. Lockett.”

If Lockett does not retract his statements about Kardashian, her team says they’ll pursue litigation.

The National Enquirer reports that Jennifer Aniston is “nursing a bruised ego after being branded ‘too old’” for the leading role in the upcoming rom-com You Are Here.

The tab says the “Friends” alum “was hot to star” in the flick, and was “angry” when producers chose Zooey Deschanel instead.

According to a so-called “insider” for the mag, Aniston is “incredibly upset” that she was “passed over” for the role by the “younger, hipper” Deschanel.

“She’s disappointed… but she’s learning to roll with the punches” says the supposed “source.”

No, she’s not.

Aniston was “never considering” the film, a rep confirms to Gossip Cop.
