The 2011 MTV Movie Awards kick off tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET, live from Los Angeles.
Jason Sudeikis hosts the show, which will feature a stacked lineup of presenters including Jim Carrey, Cameron Diaz, Nicki Minaj, Leighton Meester, Ryan Reynolds, Steve Carell and Emma Stone.

The actor has been rehearsing the show’s complex, nuanced theme song to make sure he nails it when co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones join him to record the post-Charlie Sheen version.

Piers Morgan to Be Dad Again

Piers Morgan, host of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” and a judge on “America’s Got Talent,” is going to be a dad again.
The TV personality confirmed today that he and wife Celia Walden are expecting.
Morgan already had three sons from a previous marriage. This will be Walden’s first child.
The couple tied the knot last June.

‘X-Men: First Class’ Takes First Place; ‘Hangover’ Still Strong [UPDATED]

Superheroes beat out the Wolfpack at this weekend’s box office.
X-Men: First Class earned $54 million for the top spot, making it the best-ever opening for a movie about mutants’ involvement in the Cuban Missile Crisis.
The Hangover Part II continued to do well in its second week, raking in $33.5 million to come in second.
Kung Fu Panda 2 secured third place with $25 million.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Bridesmaids came in fourth and fifth place with $19 million and $12.5 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top Ten were Thor ($4.2 million), Fast Five ($3.4 million), Midnight in Paris ($2.7 million), Something Borrowed ($1 million) and Jumping the Broom ($825,000).

Cheryl Cole Returning to “X Factor�

Just a week and a half after Cheryl Cole was reportedly let go from “The X Factor,†there’s word she may still be on the show.
At the time, it was noted that Cole would be replaced on the judging panel by Nicole Scherzinger, who had been set to be the program’s co-host.
None of the developments, however, had been confirmed by Fox or Fremantle, the show’s producers.
Now, word is the producers are trying to woo Cole back because she has what’s known as a “pay or play” clause, which means she gets paid her approximate $1.5 million salary whether she appears on all the episodes, a few or them, or even NONE of them.
So whatever the issues Fox and Fremantle had with Cole when she was initially dropped from the show, it now looks like they want her back, says TMZ, rather than forking over a seven-figure payout for no work at all.
Cole is expected to rejoin Scherzinger, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell on Wednesday for auditions in New Jersey.
“The X Factor” premieres in September.
