Andy Samberg is leaving “Saturday Night Live.”
The comedian confirmed his exit, which had been speculated about for months, in an interview with The New York Times late Friday.
“Obviously it’s not a huge shock, but I did officially decide not to come back,” he told the paper.

Noting that this is an “incredibly emotional and strange moment in my life,” Samberg went on to explain that his contract with the NBC series was up and he felt ready to move on to something new.
His “SNL” co-star Kristen Wiig, who received an emotional send-off on last month’s season finale, “kept saying it just feels like it’s her time,” and he admitted to feeling similarly.
“I connect with that. Something about it just feels like it’s the moment,” Samberg told the Times.

In his nearly seven years on the show, Samberg said he “did so much more than I ever thought I would ever even do,” including a follow-up to his wildly successful “Lazy Sunday” sketch.
And though leaving is “one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made,” the That’s My Boy star said he would definitely be open to guest appearances in the future.
“That’s the kind of thing that I really do hope happens,†he told the paper.

Looking at pictures of ‘Black Eyed Peas’ member Will.i.am leaving a club immediately makes me think of the group’s songs, like ‘Imma Be,’ ‘Boom Boom Pow,’ and ‘I Got a Feeling.’ Now I’m ready to dance- LOL! Will.i.am looks as stylish as always.
British singer and TV personality Cheryl Cole was also spotted leaving the Mahiki Club in London. We here in the US almost got to know Cheryl on last season’s ‘X Factor,’ but she was dropped from the show soon after they started taping. Â Maybe she has another project coming out, but if she does, I’m guessing it won’t be with Simon Cowell’s involvement. Did you see her in ‘What to Expect When You’re Expecting‘?

This is the “For Your Consideration” ad that Family Guy submitted in the months leading up to voting for the Emmys. Not surprisingly, it was rejected—especially since, as Heeb Magazine pointed out, “there’s something pointed and insidery about [it]” aside from the general bigotry on display. So how did various blogs get our hands on it? Because creator Seth MacFarlane tweeted it, of course. He gets the same attention (if not more) than he would have had this been published in print media, and he doesn’t have to pay for it.
What’s interesting to note is what a 180 this ad is from last year’s: Stewie forlornly staring at an empty trophy case. The Family Guy people were literally pleading to be recognized just once in their eight years on the air, and that rare humility actually got me a little choked up. But after another fruitless year, the bitterness has set in, and instead we get Peter Griffin delivering the same message — “let us into your club” — in an ugly way. It doesn’t even seem funny like some of the show’s anti-Semitic or racist jokes. It’s just uncomfortable.
