KATIE Holmes‘ security team is worried the actress is being followed by Scientologists who may be watching her a year after her divorce from Tom Cruise.

Photographers on the set of Katie’s latest film Miss Meadows in Cleveland, Ohio, on Monday morning were approached by a plain-clothed guard, who then asked if they had been dispatched by the controversial church.

It’s alleged the guard said the security detail had been told to “keep our eyes open for anything suspicious and to report it,” a source said.

Once reassured of the photographers’ credentials, Katie’s six-strong security team appeared to relax and the star chose to walk the short distance from base camp to movie set, abandoning her usual routine of being driven there in a heavily blacked out SUV.

“When security knew we were only trying to take pictures it definitely seemed to make a difference to how she and Suri are moving around,” said the snapper.

“Katie was previously being ushered straight into a vehicle and we hardly saw her, but now she seems less anxious.”

Cruise has been a devout spokesman for the church since 1990, later enlisting his wife and daughter into the ranks.

Well, contrary to internet speculation, Bryan Cranston says he’s NOT signed to play Superman nemesis Lex Luthor.

Asked about his supposed participation in the highly-anticipated flick, the actor tells the Boston Globe, “This is all news to me.”

“I think that maybe my name is bandied about because I’m known to be bald. ‘What bald guy can we get?’” jokes Cranston, pointing out, ”The reality is they can take any actor and shave his head or put a bald cap on him.”

Cranston, whose hit series “Breaking Bad” is in its final run of episodes, will next star in the American Repertory Theater’s production of “All the Way,” and is slated to direct an episode of “Modern Family.”

And after that?

“I think I’ll relax the rest of the year,” Cranston tells the paper. ”There’s some irons in the fire, things that people are talking about, but nothing is set.”

David Frost, the British broadcaster who won fame with a series of dramatic interviews with former president Richard Nixon, has died of a suspected heart attack on Saturday aboard the Queen Elizabeth cruise ship.

He was 74.

The journalist’s family confirmed his death in a statement to the BBC.

In a television career that spanned five decades, Frost hosted game shows and comedy programs, and interviewed world leaders, star athletes, and Hollywood celebrities.

But his most famous moments came during his face-to-face conversations with President Nixon in 1977, three years after the Watergate scandal forced Nixon’s resignation from office.

The confrontation was ultimately dramatized in a hit play and the 2008 movie Frost/Nixon.

On Sunday, Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted, ”My heart goes out to David Frost’s family. He could be — and certainly was with me — both a friend and a fearsome interviewer.”
