Producers behind this year’s Oscars just announced plans to celebrate the 75th birthday of one of the greatest movies ever made, The Wizard of Oz!!!!
Seventy-five years? Wow, we hardly believe it!!! The film has aged soooo gracefully; it doesn’t look a day over thirty!
Oscars producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron released this statement:
“We are delighted to celebrate the birthday of one of the most beloved movies of all time at this year’s Oscars.”
It’s more than just beloved, it’s the film that put Judy Garland on the map and for that we will be eternally grateful!
We wonder if Ellen DeGeneres will be part of this AMAZEBALLZ tribute? Yess! We hope so! Just the thought of that makes us want to slip a ruby condom on our junk and do the conga!
Interestingly enough, The Wizard of Oz didn’t win Best Picture in 1939, that award went to the equally awesome civil war epic Gone with the Wind!!
Wow! What a marvelous year for movies! We hope that Vivien Leigh & Clark Gable masterpiece gets a 75th birthday tribute, too!

MICHAEL Douglas‘ marriage to Catherine Zeta-Jones isn’t dead yet.
The pair had a family outing at Japanese restaurant Okinawa in Mount Kisco on Saturday, reports New York Post gossip column Page Six.
The couple were joined by their children and another male friend. The eatery is hibachi-style, and Jones was overheard saying she wanted the flame lit at their table so she could “warm up her hands.â€
Jones and Douglas separated in August after 13 years of marriage, but have since been working toward a reconciliation.
Recent reports claimed Michael has been telling pals he feels single again — after Catherine refused to accompany him to the Golden Globe Awards in mid-January.
“Michael felt it was the ‘final snub’ after he tried so hard to fix the relationship,†a source told the National Enquirer.
“But now he’s giving up. He’s telling pals that he feels like he’s ‘single again.’ As much as he wanted to save the marriage for the sake of their children, it’s pretty clear he’s got no choice but to file for divorce.â€
Seventeenmagazine, the country’s #1 teen magazine, has announced that their March 2014 issue will be their first ever Power issue!
In addition to the list, which features Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Gabby Douglas, and Karlie Kloss, the issue also features the Power Advisory Board. The Board, according to a statement from Seventeen, is a group of influential women “from industries including politics, entertainment, fashion, philanthropy, business, and technology, who share their advice about what they believe it means to be powerful in the special issue.” Wondering who the mag deemed savvy enough to make that list? Well, First Lady Michelle Obama, for one.

Kanye West has reportedly settled with the man he allegedly beat up in a Beverly Hills medical office earlier this month for more than $ 250,000.
The unidentified gentleman, accused of using racial slurs and threatening Kim Kardashian, has supposedly agreed to a civil settlement and will not pursue criminal prosecution against West, according to TMZ.
Meanwhile, the District Attorney has not determined whether it will charge the rapper with battery.
While the amount of the settlement with his alleged victim has not been confirmed, West reportedly agreed to a payment of roughly a quarter million dollars.
And just for us lucky, lucky people, he recorded and posted this AH-Mazingness on his Facebook!

Khloe Kardashian revealed she was living out of her car on Sunday night’s “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”
The star, who was struggling in her marriage to Lamar Odom before they divorced in December, admitted, “Right now, my personal life is a little chaotic. I just hate being at home.”

Kardashian added, “I’ve basically thrown all my bare necessities into some suitcases and I’m kind of living out of my car right now. Literally, my car has duffle bags upon duffle bags in it.”
In the end, she moves back into her home — but as we know now, that doesn’t last long.
Kardashian and Odom last week sold their house to newlyweds Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting.
