Madonna was recently in the studio with producer Diplo, and the beat-maker used his Instagram to report on their progress!

Or rather — their lack of progress!!!

Apparently the two were having trouble getting anything done because Madonna just couldn’t put down those rosé wine bottles. The ah-mazing singer was on her THIRD bottle by the time this pic occurred!

Here’s what Diplo wrote:

“Gettin nothing done cause @Madonna is on her 3 bottle of rosé #tirnethuppeth”

We’ve heard stories of musicians in the recording studios, and 3 bottles of rosé seems very appropriate for an all night session.

We wouldn’t question Madonna’s tactics – she hasn’t been on the top of her game for decades for no reason!!!

If we were Diplo, we would just sit back and enjoy the show. Because eventually some magic is bound to happen!

MADELEINE McCANN:  The Sunday Express front page leads with the sensational headline: “I killed Maddie, you’re next.”

The story is that British woman Clara Corrigan claims that the man who stabbed her in Portugal screamed: “I killed Madeline McCann and I’m going to kill you.”

This “EXCLUSIVE” was published on May 31 by the Portugal Resident:

Released from hospital with her lower back and buttocks swathed in bandages, Albufeira stabbing victim Clara Corrigan has talked to journalists about the frenzied attack suffered last Thursday and revealed that her British assailant shouted “I killed Maddie McCann and I am going to kill you” as he stabbed her repeatedly.

The story of the then 40-year-old from Liverpool was first reported by the  Correio da Manhã newspaper:

“He was in a bar with friends. We had some drinks and he must have put something in my drink because I don’t remember anything more. I woke up with him on top of me, suffocating me. Then he shouted “I killed Maddie McCann and I am going to kill you”.

Her 22-year-old attacked is known only as Shane.

While filming his upcoming flick American Sniper, the actor keeps it rather ‘fleshy’ on the down-below.

During a shot for its Navy Seals training scene, the 39-year-old is rather happy that his mega-short shorts allowed him to show off his muscular legs.

His larger-than-life bum was even revealed to be just as healthy, which is enough to fill ladies’ (and some gents’) fantasies for a week. No abs are in sight, but this view is still totally satisfactory — for the meantime, nonetheless.

CHER is crushing on Bruce Jenner!

According to American tabloid the National Enquirer, the superstar singer is so enamored with the former Olympian she’s urging him to ditch his reported plans for sex-change surgery.

Cher and Bruce first hooked up in the mid-’80s. But the pair recently connected, and have been chatting on the phone and texting each other constantly, sources say.

“Back then, Bruce was still a handsome young buck – he was the greatest athlete in the world and still basking in his Olympic glory,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“There was a strong magnetism between Bruce and Cher. She had a crush on him, but he was married.”

“Cher always regretted the end of their romance. Now that Bruce’s marriage to Kris Jenner has hit the skids, and Cher is single once more, she has Bruce firmly in her sights again.

“If they got married once his divorce goes through, Bruce and Cher would steal all the thunder from the Kardashians. Money- grubbing Kris would be banished to the Tinsel-town B list. It would be perfect revenge for Bruce.

THE Gothic horror tradition can be traced back to any number of sources.  Mathew Lewis’ Monk is probably the best starting point: it has every Gothic convention you can imagine: darkened tombs, black misty forests, haunted hallways, satanic clergy.  It would make one helluva movie, but it’s so nonlinear that I honestly don’t see how you could translate it to a screenplay.

It was Ann Radcliff’s The Mysteries of Udolpho (1794) that really serves as the impetus for the “women running from houses” genre. What exactly is the “women running from houses” genre?  I’m glad you asked.  It refers to Gothic romance novels (generally paperback) which WITHOUT EXCEPTION pictured a woman running from a house on the cover.  It’s really a bit insane when you think about it: for several decades an entire genre (a quite popular one at that) featured the exact same cover with very little variation.  It’s mental.

Here’s the composition that’s copied time and again:

 1. There is always a sinister looking residence in the background

2. There is often a single lighted window.  Never two – never a porch light or car headlights… just that one damn window!

3. Sometimes there is a shadowy male figure lurking between the girl and the house – sometimes the figure is located in the entryway or in the window.  You can never get a clear look at this mysterious person.

4. There is always a woman in foreground.  She is usually running; she may be paused or hiding, but always in the process of escaping the sinister house.

Take for instance the next couple books:

The Rest Is Silence has check-marks beside all four; whereas, The Third Woman doesn’t have the lurking male figure.  You get the picture?  Okay, so I think it’s time to make it abundantly clear how often this template was used.  This wasn’t an occasional format… this was an obsessive obedience to the laws of gothic romance covers that  bordered on insanity.   Yet, here they are. Enjoy.
