Vanessa Williams recently announced that she’s engaged to her boyfriend Jim Skrip and the way she announced it was the best way ever! 

It happened this past Friday while she was on Queen Latifah‘s show!  

The host noticed the lady’s big and beautiful ring and the Queen said: 

“Vanessa, I have been trying to have a conversation ladies and gents, but I’m blinded by the light coming from that bling ring on your finger. Is there something that we need to know around here?”

And that caused Vanessa to start really blushing! She then said:

 “Oh sorry darling. I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen. I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings on this trip.”

Vanessa had previously explained where she had met Jim in an interview where she said:

“He’s a guy I met a year-and-a-half ago when I was on vacation with my daughter in Egypt. You go across the world to find somebody who’s six hours away. He was in real estate and, back in the day, he was an accountant.”

We’re so glad that Vanessa seems to have found the one who is right for her!
