After Drake sat front row during rumored GF Serena Williams‘ New York Fashion Week show last Tuesday, it looks like the tennis star is just as supportive of the rapper’s lastest endeavor.

That’s because Serena made sure to stop by Drake’s grand opening for his new restaurant Frings in Toronto on Monday night!

Frings is the latest culinary hot spot to hit Canada, and it’s set to be an Asian-inspired restaurant thanks to head chef Top Chef Masters Season Two finalist Susur Lee!

But Serena wasn’t the only celeb at the debut — Jada Pinkett Smith and Jaden Smith were in attendance as well!

Can’t wait to try the place out, Drake!

We love Shannon Beador‘s honesty!

In a recent interview, Shannon opened up about the current state of her marriage to David Beador and where she stands with her Real Housewives of Orange County co-star, Vicki Gunvalson.

The convo is particularly interesting considering the identity of David’s former mistress was revealed after the couple just celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary earlier this month. Not to mention the reality star just confronted Vicki on Brooks Ayer‘s cancer claims on Monday night’s RHOC episode!

Wow, Beador has faced A LOT of drama recently!

As for where the holistic momma stands with her once friend, she revealed:

“I’m just gonna say, ‘Shannon vs. Vicki.’ That pretty much describes the finale to me. And it’s not something that I’m excited about. It’s not something that should’ve happened. My friendship is being questioned by Vicki and I am loyal to a T. When you’re my friend, you’re my friend for life. It’s just that there were so many different, inconsistent stories.”

Ouch, it sounds like S.B. really feels betrayed! Considering Shannon defended Gunvalson all season long, we imagine it must be a difficult situation.

While we’re THRILLED to hear that the Beador marriage is in tip top shape, we’re disappointed to learn that Shannon and Vicki are no longer speaking. It’s too bad Brooks had to come between their bond…hopefully it will be resolved!

Do YOU think the reality stars will ever be friends again?

Well that’s certainly gonna put a damper on premiere week for Empire creator Lee Daniels!

Ahead of Wednesday’s start for Season 2, the FOX showrunner is getting slapped with a $ 10 million defamation lawsuit, courtesy of Sean Penn!

The Mystic River actor filed the complaint on Tuesday after Lee compared him and Terrence Howard in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that ran last week.

Lee defended his star, who has been making headlines for his ongoing legal battle with his ex-wife Michelle Ghent, who alleges that he threatened and beat her. He said:

“[Terrence] ain’t done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he’s some f*ckin’ demon. That’s a sign of the time, of race, of where we are right now in America.”

Now, Sean definitely did NOT appreciate that!

In his lawsuit, it says that it was wrong for Lee to make it seem as though the two actors were equals, since the Milk star has never been locked up for beating a significant other:

“Daniels falsely equates Penn with Howard, even though, while he has certainly had several brushes with the law, Penn (unlike Howard) has never been arrested, much less convicted, for domestic violence, as his ex-wives (including Madonna) would confirm and attest.”

The pop princess did file a domestic assault claim against him in the late ’80s, but she later withdrew it, asking police to not press criminal charges.

Sean’s complaint states that he’s going after Lee for such a large amount of money to prevent him from drawing comparisons like this again:

“As a result of Penn’s status as a public figure, he has for years been the subject of scandalous, scurrilous, and baseless attacks. But Penn, like any citizen, has a right to defend himself and will no longer tolerate the reckless and malicious behavior of others, who seek to aggrandize themselves or their projects at his expense. Accordingly, and because of Daniels’ defamatory statements, Penn brings this action for monetary relief, and to deter Daniels and others from their defamatory actions.”

So, the Empire mastermind suddenly has a lot more to worry about than the season premiere of his smash hit.

Taraji P. Henson opens up about her Emmys loss and Viola Davis’ historic win on Tuesday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which taped just hours after the ceremony. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, both Henson and Davis were nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, the first time two black women were nominees in that category. Davis made history when she was announced as the winner, the first black actress to ever actually win, and Henson was the first to stand up and embrace her. Davis went on to make an incredibly poignant speech about the barriers black actresses face.

Henson now tells DeGeneres, “It was like bittersweet, you know what I mean? Because we all want to make history and be important to society. Then I thought about it and was like, ‘It’s 2015, we have a black president and no black woman has ever won in this category. This is weird!’ So when I went into it, and I knew I was being nominated alongside Viola, I just thought to myself, ‘God, just please give it to once of us so we’ll never have to say that again. Let’s just break this barrier down and keep on pushing.’”

“And I think the universe is happy. Viola deserved that award, and honestly, I would’ve felt weird if I would’ve gotten it over her,” continues Henson, explaining, “She’s been doing it longer. You just gotta give respect, and know when your time is.” She goes on to say “the universe needed to hear” Davis’ message, and quips, “Had I won, it wouldn’t have been that message.”

Davis attended the Emmy Awards with her grandmother, mother, and son, with the four generations posing together on the red carpet. “That to me was the win, the fact that I could do that for my family,” says the actress. When not talking Emmys, the “Empire” star plays a game with DeGeneres called “What Would Cookie Say?” Watch below!

What sad news!

While we thought January Jones and Will Forte were doing amazingly well on account that they’re currently castmates on FOX‘s The Last Man on Earth… we guess we were wrong.

That’s because news broke on Monday that the former Mad Men and Saturday Night Live stars had broken up after five months of dating.

What’s worse is that they actually broke up a month ago, but apparently wanted to keep things quiet until after Emmys season was over.

Sorry about the breakup, y’all, but we’re sure you know what’s best!

The reporter decided to play a little game of word association, and asked him what comes to mind when she says “Gigi.”

His response?

“Happiness.”

AWWWWWWW. We CANNOT with this. We’re dying. It’s just TOO cute.

And he’s not the only one who raved about the blonde beauty! His bandmate, JinJoo Lee, also added:

“I think she’s an angel.”

Well, since Gigi has the band’s seal of approval she MUST be the one! But honestly we are so thrilled that this cute couple is so happy!

American Horror Story: Hotel airs in just a few short weeks — and according to Finn Wittrock, it will be delivering some sexy (and scary) scenes!

The actor, who received an Emmy nomination for his role in Freak Show, dished about AHS‘s upcoming “insane” season at the 67th Emmy Award Performers Nominee Reception! He said:

“It’s going to be really insane. In some ways, it’s returning to the classic horror genre like the first season. Freak Show was more outside and sprawling, this is more tight and scary. The sex and the blood are really amped up too and outdoing themselves.”

The 30-year-old teased that we’ll be getting to see him in a lot of “intimate” moments, some of which would be some male-on-male action:

“There’s a little homoerotica. My character’s not gay, but he does what he’s got to do to get by. That entails a few things. There’s also a few intimate moments with The Lady herself which has been a lot of fun.”

Wittrock is of course referring to Lady GaGa, who is this season’s leading lady, who will be involved in a love triangle with Wittrock’s character and Matt Bomer — so, we have a good guess as to who else will be partaking in the “homoerotica”! LOLz!

Though GaGa is a newcomer to AHS‘s mostly veteran cast, Wittrock says we can expect a great performance:

“She’s the real deal. Everyone’s like, ‘God, she’s so approachable, like I can just go up to her and talk.’ She’s taking it very seriously as an actor. I think people are going to be very impressed.”

We’ll find out how impressive the singer-turned-actress is when Hotel airs October 7 on FX!
