5 Popular Neighborhoods for Celebrity Homes

In a society that can make stars as quickly as it can break them, it is clear we have become a bit celeb obsessed. For those who want to take their obsession to the next level, your love of certain celebrities may even affect your home-buying decision. Where you choose to live could have a direct impact on how many star-studded interactions you have on a daily basis.

You constantly see magazine reporters snapping candid photos of celebs going about their daily lives getting lattes, going to the park, and even dropping off dry-cleaning. So how can you begin frequenting the same local shops they do? Your best bet is to find neighborhoods that are becoming celebrity hot spots. Included here are a few of the most popular neighborhoods for celebrity homes.

Beverly Hills

Getting into the exclusive neighborhood of Beverly Hills is no small feat, making it an incredibly popular destination for celebrity homes. Stars who are looking to establish, and reinforce, their ranking among Hollywood’s elite are likely to settle down here. Heartthrob Channing Tatum has his residence here, as well as power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z. Scott Disick and Slash also maintain extravagant homes in this ritzy neighborhood.

Tribeca

While New York City has always been an attractant for people who are hoping to become stars, many established celebrities enjoy settling into this hotbed of activity. Downtown neighborhood, Tribeca, is quickly rising as one of the most popular neighborhoods in New York City, growing as a hip destination for those young and old. Taylor Swift, Jon Stewart, Nicole Miller, and Orlando Bloom are all recent additions to this popular New York neighborhood.

Malibu

Beach-living appeals to almost everyone, as days of sun and surf melt away the troubles of modern life. Heading down the Pacific Coast Highway brings you to the seaside oasis of Malibu. With sandy shores and increased privacy, celebs from Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry, to Steven Spielberg and Patrick Dempsey call Malibu home.

The Hamptons

Spending summer in the Hamptons is the dream of many East-coast residents. The seaside communities along Long Island’s South Fork make up the area called “The Hamptons” where many upper-class New Yorkers live and vacation. Bobby Flay, Brooke Shields, Betsey Johnson, and Renee Zellweger have all chosen to set up shop on this part of the island.

Upper West Side

Known for being one of the classier areas of New York City, the Upper West Side has garnered positive media attention from romantic flicks like “You’ve Got Mail.” Becoming a hotspot destination for celebrities, those from out of town and resident, makes the Upper West Side a developing star spot. Funny folks Jerry Seinfeld and Tina Fey call this area home as well as Glenn Close.

JK Rowling & More Share Personal Connections To Recently Identified Orlando Shooting Victims

If you didn’t know, Sunday morning was marked with tragedy when a man opened fire in a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 50 people and injuring 53 more.

Though details from the terrible event continue to come in, it wasn’t until Monday morning that the FBI started to release the identities of the victims.

As information has been released, people from around the world have began to recognize names or faces or even just identify with some details from the victims’ lives.

One of the confirmed dead was Luis Vielma who author J.K. Rowling quickly discovered worked at the Harry Potter ride at Universal Studios Florida.

The HP creator wasted no time sharing her thoughts on the terrible passing as she took to Twitter to tweet:

Rowling also retweeted a message from a fan who claimed she worked with Luis and said that another employee, Tony, was currently in the ICU:

Sadly, Luis and Tony are only two of over 100 people who were killed or hurt.

Edward Sotomayor Jr. was one of the first victims named, and his dear friend Jason Howell remembers the slain 34-year-old fondly:

“He was one of the greatest guys I’ve ever met. He touched so many people’s lives because he’s such a positive person. He would do anything for anybody.”

Jason sadly stated he doesn’t want his friend’s legacy to be the first name on a list:

“It’d be sad for people to think he was just some random guy who was just the first announced victim. He was a lot more than that. A lot more.”

We can’t imagine what the families and friends of the victims are going through at the moment and we wish them all the best during this troubling time.

Celebrity Secrets For Staying Fit

Fitness seems to be on everybody’s minds lately. As time has gone on, people appear to be more concerned with everything health related. In the 20’s, smoking was cool and even pregnant women did it. Now, if you see a pregnant woman smoking or drinking, all sorts of alarms go off.

Beyond cigarettes, people today are obsessed with anything health related. Does this sunscreen have heavy metals? Does this lotion contain chemicals that cause cancer? Is this processed food making me fat, tired, and depressed?

If there is anybody in the world who has the health craze figured out, it’s the celebrities. If money buys you anything, it buys you expensive treatments, a trainer, and a nutritionist. Among other things, of course. If you’re looking to get fit and stay fit, follow these celebrity secrets:

Drink All The Water

If you want to look like Jennifer Aniston in your 40’s you have to drink like her. Not alcohol. Water. Water is essential to all functions of the body. If you have a lifetime of not drinking enough, it’s going to show. You’ll look old, you won’t be flushing out any of the toxins in your body, and you’ll gain and retain weight. If you do nothing but drink half your body weight in ounces every day, you’ll be amazed at how you change.

Get An Informed Trainer

Trainers are a dime a dozen. Turn a corner in any city and you’ll see a gym with trainers advertising their services. It’s pretty easy to stand there and tell somebody to do 20 pushups, but it’s something different entirely to get a trainer who understands the chemistry of the body in relation to exercise, your particular makeup, and the diet hacks you need to get the results you crave.

Celebrities have the best in the business. They also have time to devote to getting and staying in shape. If you want to achieve a celebrity body, find the best of the best in regards to trainors. They’ll push you and you’ll see a difference.

Refer to Surgeon When All Else Fails

Ultimately, celebrities are amazingly beautiful because they’re not only the cream of society, they have help. Everybody has something with their body they’re not happy with. Celebs get to refer to a surgeon when diet and exercise fail to help them keep their figure. If you want to achieve what they’ve got, you might have to pay up…but try the natural methods first. It puts less stress on your pocketbook.

Justin Bieber Throws Punches In Cleveland, Literally

Can someone with sense keep this boy company?

No matter how catchy and sexy his tunes are, it’s just too late now for Justin Bieber to say ‘sorry’ for his less-than-noble decisions in life, the latest of which is the brawl he got into in Cleveland last Wednesday after an NBA game.

Justin Bieber - Lamont Richmond fight

For all the voyeurs out there, TMZ got a Snapchat footage, and the singer was unfortunately taken down by a 6’5″ dude, Lamont Richmond.

According to Richmond, he asked Bieber if his two female friends “could take a pic and get a John Hancock,” to which the drunk Bieber saucily replies, “No autographs tonight, motherf*****.” Classy.

Police Have Positively Identified Christina Grimmie’s Murderer

Now the information is starting to flow.

Orlando police have positively identified Christina Grimmie‘s murderer, not even a full day after the musician was so tragically and publicly murdered after a performance in the central Florida city.

Related: Christina’s Manager Speaks Out

According to Orlando cops, the man is 27-year old, and from nearby St. Petersburg, Florida — just a two-hour drive from Orlando.

Police are confident in saying the man’s name is Kevin James Loibl.

They believe he drove from his home in St. Petersburg to the event Friday night in Orlando while making plans to return to St. Petersburg after the show.

Obviously, that’s a sign that at least at some point in the process, he felt like he was going to get away with the crime.

Loibl committed suicide after Christina’s brother tackled him to prevent him from escaping or harming other people after he walked up and fired on the singer after the show.

Orlando police have released this picture of Loibl (below):

Police have searched Loibl’s home, though there’s no indication yet about what they found.

Such a needless, senseless act of violence.

RIP, Christina.

Zayn Malik Cancels Capital FM Summertime Ball Performance Over Anxiety

Zayn Malik Cancels Capital FM Summertime Ball

(Getty Images)

Zayn Malik canceled his Capital FM Summertime Ball performance at the last minute on Saturday. He has released a statement blaming his anxiety for his decision to pull out of the event.

The 2016 edition of the radio station’s annual London concert brought out acts like Nick Jonas and Little Mix. As 9 p.m. local time approached, “#ZAYNNatCapitalSTB” began to trend as fans awaited Malik’s turn on the stage. But the former One Direction singer backed out of the gig.

In a statement posted on Twitter around 9:30 p.m. (4:30 Eastern Time), Malik said he flew into London on Friday with the intention of performing at the event. “Unfortunately my anxiety that has haunted me throughout the last few months around live performances has gotten the better of me,” he wrote, noting, “With the magnitude of the event, I experienced the worst anxiety of my career.”

Malik went on, “I cannot apologize enough but I want to be honest with everyone who has patiently waited to see me, I promise I will do my best to make this up to everybody I’ve let down today.” The British star added, “I know those who suffer with anxiety will understand and I hope those who don’t can empathize with my situation.”

Prior to Malik’s own comments, Capital FM said in a statement, “We’re very sorry we’ve just been told that due to illness Zayn will not be performing at today’s show. We know everyone’s already had a great day and enjoyed the 19 other huge artists’ performances but of course we’re all gutted that Zayn’s had to pull out tonight at the last minute. We’re sure Zayn will let his fans know what’s happened as soon as he can and we know everyone will join us in wishing him better.”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Malik canceled what was to be his debut solo performance on “The Graham Norton Show” earlier this year, with it being said he was concentrating on finishing his record. Malik more recently postponed a taping of a “Voice” performance at the last minute about a month ago, at which time his rep exclusively told us he was sick. He then filmed the performance the following day, and it aired on the show’s finale that night. He also participated in the KIIS-FM Wango Tango festival without incident that same week.

One Direction performed at the Capital FM Summertime Ball without Malik last year. When he quit the group a few months prior, it was said he wanted to focus on his well-being. Check out the new statement below. A rep for Malik declined to give any additional comment.

Christina Grimmie Death: Kevin James Loibl Identified As Shooter

(Getty Images)

Kevin James Loibl has been identified as the shooter who killed Christina Grimmie, police announced.

In two tweets on Saturday afternoon, the Orlando Police Department wrote, “Man who shot and killed Christina Grimmie @TheRealGrimmie is Kevin James Loibl… OPD can confirm 27 year old Kevin James Loibl, suspect who shot Christina Grimmie, is from St Petersburg, FL.” A picture of Loibl was also included with the messages.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Grimmie was gunned down as she signed autographs following a concert on Friday night. Her brother tackled the assailant, who then turned the gun on himself, committing suicide. At a press conference Saturday morning, the Orlando police chief declined to reveal Loibl’s name, but said he was a white male who had traveled to the city with the intention of committing the crime, and then returning to his hometown. He was armed with two guns, additional ammunition, and a hunting knife.

While the investigation is ongoing, cops were unaware this morning of any known connection between Loibl and Grimes prior to the murder. Police in both Orlando and St. Petersburg intend to closely examine his phone, computer, and other possessions in hopes of determining a motive. It is not believed the gunman had any suspect history at this time.

As Gossip Cop noted earlier, Selena Gomez’s stepfather Brian Teefey, who was Grimes’ longtime manager, has set up a GoFundMe account to financially aid her family during this tragic time. Gossip Cop will continue to have updates.
