Even for Donald Trump, this is a dangerous new low — and a disturbing precedent that could be the beginnings of some very dangerous times.
Very early on Saturday morning, as (most of) the rest of America slept, The Donald was up tweeting away, giving his thoughts on the upcoming election, and how his poll numbers and chances of winning have tanked so hard after repeated scandals and awful behavior on his part.

But instead of, ya know, apologize, and rather than just complain about the polls, Trump took a turn into dangerous territory by accusing his opponent, Hillary Clinton, of being the beneficiary of a rigged election!
In a democracy such as the United States, it’s truly unprecedented that a major party candidate for President would (seriously) allege that an election is being rigged on behalf of his opponent.
And yet look at the tweets (below), because that’s exactly what The Donald has done:
Wow.
Republican Party, seriously — get control of your candidate!!! Maybe take away his phone and Twitter account for a while??

If it seems unremarkable to you that The Donald is alleging a rigged election, take into account what one of his supporters, a man named Dan Bowman, told The Boston Globe last week:
“If [Hillary] is in office, I hope we can start a coup. She should be in prison or shot. That’s how I feel about it. We’re going to have a revolution and take them out of office if that’s what it takes. There’s going to be a lot of bloodshed. But that’s what it’s going to take. . . . I would do whatever I can for my country.”
That’s beyond the pale, and Trump is stoking those flames more and more every single day.
Completely unacceptable!!

Trump continued to go off the rails at various campaign stops through the weekend, too, with reporters tweeting out the best (worst) gems of the GOP candidate’s disturbing speeches (below):
Unreal on so many levels.
It’s right about time for The Donald’s campaign to come to an end.
