Maybe comedy isn’t his strong suit…

As we reported, on Thursday, Robert Pattinson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he claimed the director of his upcoming movie Good Time insisted he give a dog an actual “hand job.”

Once the Twilight star’s comments went viral, PETA announced they were launching an investigation to see if any laws were broken.

Fast forward to Friday, RPatz is clarifying his “embarrassing” remarks in order to dampen the controversy! He said:

“The story I told on Jimmy Kimmel last night seems to have spiraled out of control. What didn’t come across is that this was supposed to be a joke. No one at all expected or assumed that anything like that would happen on the Good Time set. We are all huge animal lovers and would obviously never do anything to harm an animal.”

The British babe makes it clear that the cast and crew of his new flick did NOT do anything wrong, and he was simply trying to make Kimmel laugh.

“Everyone involved in Good Time are amazing professionals and have come together to make a movie that I’m extremely proud of. I feel embarrassed that in the moment, I was trying to make Jimmy laugh, only to create confusion and a false impression.”

Case closed.

HollywoodLife claims to “exclusively” know Selena Gomez’s reaction to The Weeknd’s new Harper’s Bazaar cover, in which he poses alongside two sexy supermodels. Gossip Cop, however, can expose the site’s made-up story.

The Weeknd is featured on the cover of this month’s Harper’s Bazaar sandwiched in between models Adriana Lima and Irina Shyak. HollywoodLife, which routinely pretends to have insight into a celebrity’s innermost thoughts, now claims to know his girlfriend’s feeling about the magazine cover. The webloid maintains that the singer “wasn’t at all jealous” seeing her boyfriend with two models, then quotes a supposed “source” as saying, “[She] loves it. She’s really proud and thinks he looks so hot.”

The outlet’s dubious insider adds, “Under a different circumstance, it could have made her really jealous. Two supermodels with their hands all over her man could have been a huge trigger.” But the questionable source says The Weeknd “makes her feel so safe” and “went out of his way to make sure she was cool with the whole thing.” The seemingly fake insider adds, “Instead of feeling jealous, she felt included.”

The webloid may have refrained from creating phony drama surrounding The Weeknd’s Harper’s Bazaar cover, but its take on the situation is no more accurate. Gossip Cop is told by a source close to Gomez that no one in the singer’s trusted inner circle told HollywoodLife her reaction to her boyfriend’s photo shoot. This is simply another example of the untrustworthy outlet pretending to have an “exclusive” celebrity scoop.

Remember, Gossip Cop recently busted HollywoodLife for lying about Gomez’s birthday celebration with her boyfriend. We also recently called out the webloid when it made up a story about The Weeknd loving Gomez’s “natural beauty.” These phony stories aren’t necessarily negative or mean-spirited, but they simply aren’t true either. This latest report is simply more lies from the repeatedly discredited website.

Many people think that being famous is all fun and games. They imagine that a day in the life of something recognized by everyone must be a walk in the park. After all, they have access to any place they’d like to go to, people admire them, and they can afford pretty much anything that their heart desires.

What many people don’t realize, however, is that there are plenty of things that celebrities often complain about which goes along with the territory of fame. There are often hidden negative points which no one could understand unless they experienced it themselves.

When it comes to the not so fun side of being famous, here are the things celebrities complain about the most.

The Paparazzi

Imagine every time that you stepped out of your house there was a herd of photographers anxiously chasing you for the perfect shot of you doing something which could be newsworthy. Websites and magazines will pay big amounts of money for these photos, so this means that the paparazzi are often willing to do whatever it takes to get the shot.

Celebrities are often put in danger and are victims of accidents following a pursuit from the paparazzi, in some cases even leading to death. Next time you think that it might be fun to have yourself on the cover of a magazine, try to ask yourself at what price, and everything that comes along with the territory.

Not Being Able To Do Simple Tasks

Sometimes our day calls for putting on a pair of sweatpants and running to the store for a jug of milk. Or going to the post office and buy a book of stamps. We often take these simple tasks throughout the day for granted. Celebrities don’t have the same kind of freedom to be able to do simple daily tasks since they have to worry about being recognized and mobbed.

People are often so star struck and excited about someone that they’ve seen in the movies or on their favorite shows, that they lose control and mass hysteria can begin. This can be interesting in the right setting, however, when all you want to do is put some gas in your car and you haven’t even had your morning coffee yet, it can be incredibly suffocating.

People Trying To Take Advantage Of Them

Often celebrities complain that they have issues getting close to people since they are constantly having to wonder if people only want to use them for their fame and fortune. Since it is all too common for celebrities to be taken advantage of, it can be extremely isolating having to wonder if people are genuinely your friend, or if they just want something from you.

Space can get nasty — which is why NASA is officially searching for a Planetary Protection Officer to save the planet from potential alien contamination!

According to a job post on the U.S. government’s official site, the position involves preventing astronauts and robots from getting contaminated with any organic and biological material during space exploration.

The job comes with a cushy six-figure salary and “secret” security clearance. Any U.S. citizen or national is eligible to apply before August 14, but only the most experienced candidates will be considered.

Candidates like Will Smith, who has already saved the planet from alien attacks in at least four movies — not to mention, believes in extraterrestrials IRL!

Did The Countess purposely time her divorce to avoid camera time? It’s definitely a possibility!

As reported on Thursday, Real Housewives Of New York star Luann de Lesseps announced on Twitter that she and husband Tom D’Agostino have decided to call it quits after eight months of marriage.

Sadly, production on RHONY ended months ago, which means their final moments as a couple were NOT captured on camera!

According to TMZ, the reunion was shot weeks ago, and while de Lesseps talked about the ups and downs of her relationship, there was no mention of a divorce.

Even with this obstacle, producers are STILL trying to find a way to mention the split in the reunion, which begins airing later this month.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are not starting a dog fostering and adoption business, contrary to a report published on Wednesday. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story.

The article in question can be found in the new edition of OK!, under the headline, “Jen & Justin’s Animal Attraction.” To entice readers, the tabloid begins its tale with a bit of a bait-and-switch. “News flash: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have finally started a family! Their bundles of joy just have four legs instead of two,” writes the gossip magazine.

A so-called “friend” claims to the outlet that after adopting a dog together a few years ago, Theroux “started calling her their ‘baby’ as a joke. But they got involved in animal rescue, and now they have plans to foster 10 dogs at a time on their property, working with professionals to train them and help get them adopted.” The publication’s supposed source adds that the couple’s three pooches “have given them so much, they want to give back,” and now “shelters are dying to work with them.”

But this purported “friend” is either misinformed or the tabloid made up this “project to tackle together.” While Aniston and Theroux have fostered dogs in the past, Gossip Cop has learned they typically only did so with one dog at a time, as is common. And a rep exclusively tells us that these alleged plans to start a full-scale operation fostering 10 dogs at a time for adoption is just “nonsense.”

It’s also eyebrow-raising that the outlet began this untrue story with the line, “News flash: Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have finally started a family!” The magazine is conveniently ignoring the countless times it wrongly claimed Aniston was pregnant, including a cover story nearly a year ago that falsely alleged the actress was “having a girl.” Here’s a real news flash: OK! doesn’t know what it’s talking about when it comes to Aniston and babies or Aniston and dogs.

OMG, Brooklyn Beckham is all grown up!

We feel like we blinked and suddenly that precious baby that David and Victoria Beckham just had is already 18 years old and going off to college!

But the young man has been ready to go off on his own thanks to some good parenting. He tells People magazine this week:

“My dad’s always taught me how to do stuff on my own.”

Something Becks didn’t teach him — but absolutely encouraged — was his love of photography, which is what he will be studying in NYC starting this fall. He says:

“I’m studying art and photography, like film and digital – a mix of both. I’m really excited to start and I feel like it’ll be a really cool thing for me to focus on for a few years.”

Brooklyn has already been taking photos long enough to have created his own book called What I See.

The shutterbug bug was even what made his decision about where to go to school:

“Everywhere in New York is cool to see and cool to photograph.”

Thankfully, he hasn’t always had to go so far to find good subjects; the boy has the most photogenic family on the planet!

And he knows it:

“I love shooting the family – of course it’s always going to be a much more intimate shot when you know your subject so well. I love taking photos of all of my family but Harper is really cute to photograph, and my brother Romeo because of his shaved head. Cruz is just cheeky, so it’s always fun to get a picture of him too.”

As it is for most older siblings, the distance from his brothers and sister may be the toughest part of moving away. But Brooklyn plans to stay close as he can. He says:

“I’m always here for any of my siblings, really, but yeah, I’m now teaching Romeo how to pick nice friends. I kind of help them with whatever they need, really.”

Awww!

A lot of that sweetness can be attributed to his parents, whom he says are actually really a down to earth sort of “mum and dad” who have encouraged him to work hard and stay “humble.”

Which is something that can be quite difficult when you’re in the spotlight! As can dating, which the teen says is just plain “annoying.”

Of course, he’s got the normal dating pitfalls of any 18-year-old as well, namely bringing them home to meet the parents!

He tells People that Victoria tells him “she’ll like any girl that I bring back” but that she’s a much tougher audience than his dad. But ultimately Posh and Becks “are both kind of the same” in that:

“They can tell who’s nice and who isn’t.”

See? He’s just a regular kid looking for a nice girl, and he’s about to be living alone in the big city.
