Did Prince William really make a raunchy speech at Prince Harry’s engagement party? That’s the latest claim coming from one of this week’s tabloids, but Gossip Cop can set the record straight. We’re told it’s “false.”

In the current edition of Star, the magazine has a new royal report with the title, “Ginger Prince Turns Beet Red Over Sex-Tape Speech.” In the accompanying article, the publication asserts Prince William “made jaws drop during a toast” for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their engagement party. A so-called “source” is then quoted as telling the gossip outlet, “Wills asked for glasses to be raised, then launched into a shocking spiel.”

The tabloid’s dubious “insider” goes on to state, “It got a wee raunchy! Wills ended his rather untraditional rant by saying, ‘And whatever you do, don’t make a sex tape!’” Further purports the magazine’s supposed snitch, “You could hear a pin drop, but then Harry started roaring with laughter and Meg giggled along too!” But Gossip Cop investigated the seemingly made-up story, and a palace insider tells us the report is 100 percent “false.”

Of course, Star fails to provide its readers with any specific details about when or where Prince Harry’s engagement party took place, nor does it elaborate on who attended the royal soiree. What’s more, a reputable “source” would never refer to Prince William as “Wills,” just as a real palace “insider” wouldn’t call Prince Harry by his first name. The entire article is phony, and was likely manufactured after Prince Harry and the former “Suits” actress released their official engagement photos.

Unfortunately, we’re not remotely surprised by the tabloid’s newest piece of royal fiction. Remember, Gossip Cop corrected the unreliable publication earlier this year when it falsely claimed Prince Harry and Markle were “secretly engaged.” Much like that bogus claim, this latest one about Prince William making a “raunchy” speech at Prince Harry’s engagement party is equally untrue.

Brad Pitt‘s personal life remained one of the most popular topics in the tabloids in 2017, due in large part to his ongoing divorce with Angelina Jolie. But when the stories weren’t about their breakup and when the gossip magazines weren’t wrongly linking him to a bevy of women, the articles were typically about his supposed closeness with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. Case in point: A November cover story from In Touch announcing, “Brad & Jen: A Second Chance At Love.”

In busting this tall tale, Gossip Cop explained how it was part of a saga manufactured by the outlet. In June, the publication declared Pitt was “in love” with Aniston again and claimed he apologized for leaving her for Jolie. In August, the narrative continued with a cover story alleging Aniston was “breaking down” over her former husband’s “love confession.” A new chapter followed in October with the assertion that Pitt was “running back to Jen.”

That all led to this installment, in which a so-called “source” maintained, “Brad would take a second chance at love in a heartbeat.” And though it was said Pitt didn’t want to come between Aniston and her current husband, Justin Theroux, the tabloid further alleged the actress ending her second marriage wasn’t “out of the realm of possibility” due to purported relationship problems. Between that and Pitt supposedly wanting “much more of Jen in his life,” the magazine asserted, “What that means for them in the future is very much up in the air.”

But as Gossip Cop rightly said then, nothing was up in the air. We reported that Aniston intended to remain married, and she and Theroux are currently in Mexico on a New Year’s vacation. Pitt, meanwhile, is still not pursuing a “second chance at love” with the spouse he divorced more than a decade ago. An impeccable contact close to the actor assured Gossip Cop the tabloid’s storyline was “false,” while Aniston’s rep further told us it was “fabricated.” Time has backed that up.

A number of online outlets, like Celebrity Insider, wrongly regurgitated the claims, which helped the internet become flooded with the misinformation to the point where it was dominating search results. Gossip Cop can only hope that in 2018, facts take priority over fiction. Regardless, we’ll be here to separate the two as it relates to Pitt, Aniston and everyone else.

A made-up story from HollywoodLife claims Selena Gomez‘s “one wish” for New Year’s Eve is a “romantic kiss” from Justin Bieber. But no one close to the singer-actress actually told a site that she’s called “the worst” about a desire to kiss her boyfriend. Gossip Cop can bust this fake “exclusive.”

HollywoodLies, as it’s also known, is purporting to have “EXCLUSIVE details” on how Gomez wants to ring in the new year. What it has, however, isn’t very detailed at all. A so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Selena has one wish for her New Year’s eve party plans and that is to get a romantic kiss from Justin at midnight. After a rocky year, and lots of family drama surrounding Christmas, Selena is eager to spend her New Year’s eve with Justin.”

Nothing about that is particularly insightful or revelatory. Everyone knows Gomez has had a “rocky year” and it’s been well-documented that there was “family drama surrounding Christmas.” It’s also hardly groundbreaking to assert a woman wants to spend New Year’s Eve with her boyfriend and get a “romantic kiss” at midnight. We wouldn’t think she wanted a friendly one.

In another obviously manufactured quote, the webloid’s supposed snitch contends, “When the clock strikes midnight on New Year’s eve, Selena wants to be with her man, wherever that may be, so she can feel his arms wrapped around her and get a sweet kiss from him as 2018 begins.” HollywoodLies regularly pretends to have “exclusives” on how stars get intimate with each other, as if any real “sources” close to them would be publicly talking about such things. And most notably, the blog never actually says just where the couple will be for the holiday.

There was similarly no specifics offered earlier this month when the outlet ran an “exclusive” about Gomez and Bieber’s supposedly “epic New Year’s Eve plans.” And in addition to the aforementioned flaws in this concocted new story, HollywoodLies further shows that it’s far from being in the loop when it maintains Gomez’s mom, Mandy Teefey, was “hospitalized after learning about how serious Jelena’s relationship has become… Mandy and Selena got into a heated discussion over Justin, causing Mandy to check herself in to a hospital.”

Teefey didn’t actually “check in to a hospital,” and it was not a dispute over Bieber that led her to seek medical treatment. Gomez’s family issues go far beyond Bieber. HollywoodLies would know that if it actually had inside access to Gomez’s world. But since it doesn’t, this made-up “exclusive” is comprised of obvious guesses (she wants to kiss her boyfriend on New Year’s) and misinformation (Teefey was hospitalized and it’s due to Bieber). This is exactly why she’s called the online publication “the worst.”

Though Taylor Swift was out of the spotlight for much of 2017, she was still a tabloid target. The gossip media tried to link the superstar to a number of former flames, including Conor Kennedy and Tom Hiddleston. OK! chose Jake Gyllenhaal.

In March, the outlet falsely announced the pair were “dating again” after Swift supposedly reached out to her ex beau while he was living in New York City for a stint on Broadway. “Taylor was so young when they dated, she wasn’t ready for a serious relationship, but now she’s showing Jake how much she’s matured. She’s excited to see where things go,” a so-called “source” was quoted as saying.

But as much as the publication wanted fans to think Swift and Gyllenhaal were rekindling their romance, which originally took place in 2010, Gossip Cop was exclusively assured there was “no truth” to the claim. And there was a good reason for that: Though their relationship wasn’t public at the time, Swift was already dating Joe Alwyn. In fact, they started seeing each other under the radar in late 2016. When their coupling was confirmed in May 2017, that only proved that our debunking of the supposed Swift-Gyllenhaal reunion was correct.

And far from getting back together with Gyllenhaal, the singer and her current boyfriend are still going strong and intend to take their relationship into 2018. Alwyn and Swift had plans to spend the holidays together, and he’ll even join her on tour next year. And while the performer will likely still be the subject of bad dish in the coming months, the tabloids should know she’s not afraid to fire back.

In November, Swift cleverly mocked OK! and Us Weekly by creating parody magazines inspired by the lies they’ve told about her. For example, last year OK! made-up a cover story that blared, “Taylor Shocker! Pregnant! Who’s The Dad?” Swift now pointedly poked fun at the fabrication by putting lines exclaiming “Taylor Shocker” and “Who Is Olivia’s Real Father?” on her faux edition. Olivia, for the record, is one of Swift’s cats.

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are not secretly having “girls’ nights out” in London, despite a made-up tabloid cover story. Even the picture being used to sell this fabrication is photoshopped. Gossip Cop can bust it.

The new cover of Life & Style features what, at first glance, appears to be a photo of Middleton and Markle posing closely together during a purported “girls’ night out.” In actuality, it is two separate images edited together to give the false impression that the tabloid obtained a picture from their supposed hang-out. But the Middleton portion of this digital manipulation is actually from her attendance at a reception for the 2012 Olympic games. With that visual deception right on the cover, it’s no surprise that the actual story itself was also fudged.

In fact, the outlet tries pulling the same photo trick inside the issue, with another photoshopped rendering of Middleton and Markle looking as if they were photographed together when it’s really two individual snapshots. Alongside the misleading art, the publication alleges Markle and Middleton “have been enjoying under-the-radar nights out in London, where they can gossip about royal life and share secrets.” To be clear, readers are supposed to believe Middleton and Markle have been going out in public together, but no one has managed to snap an authentic picture.

The tabloid maintains the pair are “regulars at members-only Soho House,” which is a popular establishment for celebrities to wine and dine. Still, no local media, who track the royal family’s every move, have reported about any such outings. In contrast, when Markle and Prince Harry went to Soho House for a date back in February, it was widely covered and there were photos of the outing. But somehow photographers missed the multiple times Markle has gone out with Middleton? Yeah, right. It becomes laughable when a so-called “insider” is actually quoted as saying, “They’ve become super close and love their girls’ nights out!”

It is true Middleton is growing closer with her future sister-in-law, but all of these specifics about “their girls-only nights on the town” are manufactured. For example, it’s alleged the duo can “sneak away from the palace,” but considering they have royal protection officers by their side every time they leave the grounds, there really isn’t any “sneaking away.” The magazine also seems to think rattling off some of the dishes served at Soho House lends credence to its story, and expects people to believe that an “insider” would actually leak that Markle “got a little tipsy on champagne” during one of the supposed outings.

It actually becomes a bit ironic when one supposed source claims to the outlet that Middleton told Markle to have her bachelorette party “at Soho House because the queen won’t find out what happens behind closed doors.” Yet this article is all about what has purportedly happened “behind closed doors” at the establishment when the women have supposedly visited. It’s quite obvious that not a lot of logic went into this concocted tale.

And remember, this is the same publication that earlier this year insisted Markle and Prince Harry would get married in a Christmas wedding in the Caribbean. That never happened, just like Gossip Cop said it wouldn’t, and these “girls’ nights out” haven’t happened either. Life & Style is trying to dupe readers, but once again, it’s been caught red-handed.

A new story claiming Kim Kardashian is getting “antsy” for her third baby to arrive is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can correct this claim, which comes from a website known for its fabricated stories about the reality star. We’re told it’s “ridiculous.”

According to the serial fibbers at HollywoodLife, Kardashian “can’t wait for her little girl to finally be born,” and is supposedly getting “antsy for her surrogate to deliver the newest member of her family.” In the piece, a so-called “source” is quoted as telling the often disproven outlet, “Kim would have loved to have her new baby for Christmas and she is feeling very eager to start being a new mom again.” The site’s seemingly non-existent “insider” goes on to purport, “The excitement is at a fever pitch right now to get that baby home and healthy and ready to be loved upon. She can’t wait for the surrogate’s birth process to start, she was ready months ago!”

But as Gossip Cop has noted in previous stories, it’s hard to believe a legitimate source close to Kardashian really spoke to the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies about the arrival of her third child. Remember, we recently corrected the bad blog when it untruthfully alleged Kardashian and Kanye West were letting their daughter North name their third baby. That report was obviously false, and the same goes for this latest claim.

When Gossip Cop fact-checked the website’s story, a rep for Kardashian told us the article is “ridiculous.” Contrary to HollywoodLife’s manufactured report, which is filled with fake quotes and obvious statements disguised as “exclusives,” the “KKW Beauty” mogul is not getting “antsy” for her third child to arrive. Of course, it goes without saying that Kardashian wants her baby girl to be born when she’s due, which is said to be towards the end of the year. The entire story is completely made-up.

Scott Disick and Younes Bendjima did not have an “awkward” run-in at the annual Kardashian Christmas party, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can correct this fabricated and flimsy claim about there being supposed “tension.” We’re told Kourtney Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend and current man did not have any personal interaction throughout the holiday bash.

HollywoodLife, which manufactured the phony “run-in” claim, actually tips off that it concocted its entire story in the first few sentences of its new article. It begins, “Younes Bendjima and Scott Disick reportedly met at the Kardashian Christmas Party.” That’s followed several phrases later by a so-called “source” telling the untrustworthy site, “There was a definite tension in the air when Kourtney introduced them to each other, but Scott and Younes shook hands and exchanged some pretty awkward pleasantries.”

If HollywoodLies, as it’s known, is certain the two men exchanged “awkward pleasantries,” then why would its first sentence hedge that Disick and Bendjima “reportedly met.” That means the site isn’t 100 percent sure “Kardashian’s ex and current boyfriend finally came face-to-face at Kris Jenner’s annual Christmas Eve party,” as it later maintains. The rest of the site’s article is filled out with more seemingly fabricated quotations from the unnamed “source” saying basically everything everyone knows including, “Scott still loves Kourtney, but he’s no good for her,” and Disick “isn’t happy about it, but he better get used to Younes being around.”

In reality, Disick and Younes did not cross paths at the Kardashian Christmas party. And they most assuredly did not exchange “awkward pleasantries” or any words, for that matter, with each other. If anything, Gossip Cop is told they kept a cool distance from one another the whole night.

Of course, HollywoodLies has been repeatedly caught publishing totally untrue stories about Disick, Kardashian and Younes. Two months ago, for example, the fiction writers at that site reported “Kourtney Kardashian is also pregnant… and it’s Younes Bendjima’s baby.” That was a lie. It’s interesting the often discredited blog didn’t mention that in its new article or that Kardashian’s new boyfriend beat up Disick because the outlet also claimed two months ago in another made-up report that Bendjima is “not scared to ‘pulverize’ him a fight,” if the two ever met up. Gossip Cop suspects if HollywoodLife ever has a “run-in” with a fact-checker, it will undoubtedly be very, very awkward.

As you can see (above), everyone was in a good mood for the service — and it’s a bit of a unique thing that Meghan has been so publicly embraced already by the royal family considering most who marry in aren’t fully welcomed until the vows are officially taken.

But even now, just engaged to Prince Harry, she’s already clearly part of the family.
