One of the tabloids maintains Charlize Theron is going on a date with Trevor Noah after the “Daily Show” host asked out the actress. The story, however, is untrue. Gossip Cop looked into the claim and can debunk it.

Theron and Noah, both of whom are South African, have been friendly for years and even teamed up on a 2017 campaign to empower the youth in their homeland. Additionally, earlier this month Theron appeared on the TV host’s late-night comedy show to promote her new movie Long Shot. According to Life & Style, Noah has been crushing on her for a long time, and has now finally decided to act on it.

A supposed source tells the magazine “the timing was never right” for the two in the past, as “he was either in a relationship or she was just too busy being a mom to commit.” The alleged insider further contends the comedian “finally got the nerve to ask Charlize out on a date, and of course, she said yes.”

Gossip Cop, however, checked in with a source close the Theron, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but tells us the magazine’s article is false. An individual in Noah’s camp similarly confirms there’s nothing romantic going on between the two. The unreliable outlet seems to be linking the actress and the TV host simply because both are South African and have a friendship.

It should be noted, Theron said in an interview with “Extra” last month that she’s not looking for love at the moment. The actress explained, “I’m gonna finish this press tour [for Long Shot] then I’m gonna shoot a movie in London, and I’m figuring like around September we’ll talk about this.” The actress, who will be overseas for the next few months shooting the action movie The Old Guard, isn’t currently on the dating scene.

Also, Life & Style has already proven to have very little insight into the actress’s love life. Last year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting Theron was dating Alexander Skarsgard after supposedly striking up a romance on the set of Long Shot. As time has confirmed, the co-stars were never a couple.

Just last month, Gossip Cop called out the magazine for making up a story about Ben Affleck’s friends trying to set him up with Theron. The untrustworthy outlet has a habit of arbitrarily linking the actress to famous men. Noah is the latest male celebrity to be selected, but Theron simply isn’t planning a date with the “Daily Show” host.

Did Angelina Jolie ask Johnny Depp to live with her? That was premise of a report exactly one year ago today. The claim, much like many others tying the two stars together, was untrue and time has also proven it false.

On May 27, 2018, NW insisted Jolie had invited Depp to live with her in a house she was staying at while filming a movie in England. With Depp facing a number of legal issues, the magazine maintained Jolie had “stepped in” and came to his “rescue.” To give the appearance that it had inside information, the outlet alleged it had a “source” who leaked how Jolie assured Depp that “she’s got his back.”

The tabloid had no proof whatsoever that the Oscar-winning actress reached out to his co-star in The Tourist or that Depp was “leaning” on her, as it had contended. It just strung together a number of quotes from a supposed insider who related in general terms that Jolie and Depp always had a connection because they both have a “dark side” and been painted publicly as a “villain.” The anonymous tipster added that Depp was “grateful” to have Jolie on his side.

But, as Gossip Cop previously reported, Jolie never invited her former co-star to live with her and her kids in England while she shot Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil, and it’s clear 12 months later that never happened. Just like we noted back then, their closeness has been over-exaggerated in tabloid stories and the actor was touring with his band, Hollywood Vampires, and not crashing at Jolie’s temporary home. A source in Depp’s camp rightly told us a year ago the magazine’s article was wholly inaccurate.

In the subsequent 365 days since that tale, NW hasn’t gotten any more reliable with its articles about Jolie. Just three months later, for example, Gossip Cop busted the outlet when it published a fictitious cover story about Jolie warning Jennifer Aniston to stay away from Brad Pitt and their kids. In reality, the “Friends” star has never met Pitt and Jolie’s children, despite the claim she was “bonding” with and “playing stepmom” to them.

That was followed earlier this year by another cover story that similarly asserted wrongly that Jolie warned Charlize Theron to stay away from her and Pitt’s kids. And even though the actor’s rep denied he was romantically involved with the South African actress, and she herself has said she was single, the same outlet published another bogus article that incorrectly stated Jolie was dating Sean Penn to get revenge on Pitt and Theron. And just two months ago, the tabloid concocted another tale about Jolie getting revenge on Pitt and Aniston by “hooking up” with Justin Theroux. Of course, Pitt and Aniston are not a couple either, and so that report was also a fabrication.

Gossip Cop routinely returns to articles from one year ago to show how stories hold up over time. In this case, Angelina Jolie wasn’t focused on saving Johnny Depp, as alleged. In fact, she’s had no interaction with him for a very long time. Nor has she tried to get revenge on Pitt and Aniston or told that actress or Theron to stay away from her kids. Simply, the publication occasionally prints lies about Jolie, which is why we come back hours, day, weeks, and even a year later to make sure it’s held accountable.

A tabloid claims Jennifer Aniston plans on “confronting her past” in a tell-all interview that will touch on her marriages to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, as well as all those baby rumors. But the story is completely made-up. And Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk it.

According to In Touch, the actress wants to do an extensive interview in which she’ll discuss her divorces from Pitt and Justin Theroux, her thoughts on Angelina Jolie, the reason why she never had kids and more. A supposed source tells the magazine, “Jen has been doing a lot of soul-searching. It has inspired her to do a sit-down interview, preferably with someone like Oprah Winfrey. Jen has put up so many walls, with friends, family and her fans, and now she’s ready to come clean.”

The alleged insider further contends that therapy helped Aniston come to the realization that she needs to clear the air as “part of her healing process.” When it comes to Pitt, the actress is prepared “to tell the truth” about their divorce and where things stand with him now, says the suspicious source. As for Theroux, the actress will supposedly “spill everything” about what when wrong in their marriage. “This whole process of confronting her past has been a life-changing experience for her,” adds the seemingly phony tipster.

The tabloid hides behind an anonymous “source” to sell its phony story, but Gossip Cop reached out to Aniston’s spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it’s untrue. Despite what the magazine’s seemingly imaginary “insider” claims, a rep qualified to speak on the actress’s behalf confirms she’s not planning a tell-all interview. It should be noted, the unreliable outlet doesn’t bother to explain the format of the supposed interview. Will it be on Oprah’s podcast, in her magazine or air as a TV special? The tabloid doesn’t care to elaborate, and that’s because the report is fabricated.

Back in March, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for making up a similar story about Aniston sitting down for a tell-all TV interview about Pitt and Theroux. The premise wasn’t true two months ago and it’s no more accurate now. Earlier this month, we called out the magazine for falsely claiming Pitt was the one doing a tell-all TV interview about Aniston and Jolie. The publication keeps recycling this narrative and it never pans out.

Meanwhile, Gossip Cop previously called out In Touch’s sister publication, Star, for falsely claiming Aniston was writing a tell-all book about her life. No such memoir was ever published. This latest twist on the topic is similarly untrue.

Is Brad Pitt really “wasting away” amid his divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.

According to the National Enquirer, Pitt’s friends fear he’s suffering from “manorexia,” due to the stress of his contentious split. A so-called “insider” tells the outlet, “Brad currently weighs around 160 pounds, which is too low for a man of his height and build. He should be more like 180 pounds.” It’s unclear how the magazine’s “source” managed to get Pitt on a scale.

The questionable tipster goes on to say that eating properly “has been the last thing on [Pitt’s] mind” in the midst of all the drama he’s going through with Jolie. “He’s also been working nonstop and spending long nights and days at the sculpting studio when he’s not reading scripts,” adds the alleged insider. “It’s easy to lose track of time and forget about meals, but Brad’s missing out on a quite a few by the look of him. He’s also vaping, which suppresses his appetite.”

From there, the seemingly phony source contends that Pitt has a personal chef preparing meals for him, but he “doesn’t seem to want to eat much of anything,” and “most of the food ends up in leftover containers in the fridge.” The possibly made-up “insider” adds, “Brad’s exercising a lot, walking and hiking, but what he really needs is to get a few hundred calories in and bulk up.”

The magazine’s premise is coming from an anonymous “insider,” but Gossip Cop reached out to Pitt’s spokesperson, who assures us it’s “completely false.” The actor’s rep also pointed out how Pitt looked happy and healthy on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this week. Although the movie star is undoubtedly dealing with some personal issues involving his estranged wife, the notion that he’s “wasting away” simply isn’t true.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has had to debunk this untrue premise. Back in 2017, we busted the Globe’s sister publication, Star, for falsely claiming Pitt had developed an eating disorder as a result of his divorce from Jolie. That article also used the term “wasting away” to describe the actor’s supposed condition. Shortly after that, the magazine’s other sister outlet, OK!, manufactured up a story about Pitt having a health crisis because of his divorce, to the point where he supposedly weighed less than 150 pounds. The narrative wasn’t true two years ago, and it’s no more accurate now.

Exactly one year ago today, a blog falsely claimed Kylie Jenner was dumping Travis Scott because he was being “overbearing and trying to control her entire life.” Gossip Cop debunked the bogus story as soon as it emerged. Time has proven it untrue.

On May 25, 2017, RadarOnline published an article alleging Jenner was “ready to move on” from her boyfriend just months after the birth of their baby daughter Stormi. The main source of contention, according to the outlet, was that the reality star was “feeling totally smothered” by the rapper. A supposed source told the site that Scott “doesn’t give her any freedom” and tells his girlfriend “what she can wear and where she can go.”

The story didn’t make much sense. As we noted at the time it was published, Jenner had just traveled to San Francisco without her boyfriend. Around the same time, several reputable entertainment outlets, including People magazine, noted how the birth of the couple’s daughter Stormi “changed their relationship for the better.” E! Online, whose TV network is home to “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” similarly described Jenner and Scott as being “stronger than ever.”

It was already clear this time last year that the blog’s split story was false, but it’s become even more apparent in the time since. Earlier this month, Jenner and Scott got matching tattoos in honor of the rapper’s 28th birthday. Jenner also bought Scott a Lamborghini for his birthday and threw him an over-the-top bash. Additionally, both the reality star and the rapper frequently flaunt their romance on Instagram.

Unfortunately, the unreliable site didn’t get much better at reporting about the couple in the 12 months since that story. Back in July 2018, Gossip Cop called out the blog for falsely claiming Jenner and Scott’s relationship was “over” after getting into an “epic fight” in New York City. The outlet had zero insight into what the alleged argument was about, but maintained that the reality star kicked her boyfriend out of their hotel room. Just a few days after we debunked the made-up story, the couple went on a weekend getaway to Paris.

Gossip Cop looks back at stories from a year ago to show how the passage of time often discredits false stories. As opposed to dumping her boyfriend last year, it would appear that Jenner’s relationship has only gotten stronger. RadarOnline simply can’t be trusted when it comes to getting accurate news about the couple.

Jennifer Garner and her boyfriend John Miller are not planning a summer wedding at the actress’s Los Angeles home, despite a made-up tabloid report. Gossip Cop can debunk the bogus story. It’s just not true.

According to Life & Style, the couple of less than a year will be exchanging vows in an outdoor ceremony at Garner’s new Pacific Palisades home. A supposed source tells the outlet, “Jen’s picked out a simple, sexy white dress,” adding that the actress’s famous pals like Reese Witherspoon and Kate Hudson are on the guest list. The alleged insider further contends Ben Affleck’s mom, Chris, will be invited as well.

Simply, the magazine’s story is fabricated. Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but assures us the actress and her boyfriend aren’t planning a summer wedding. “Entertainment Tonight,” a much more reliable source for celebrity news than Life & Style, recently reported Garner is still exploring “if John is the right one for her.”

The outlet noted that the couple slowed down their relationship over the last couple of months, but they’ve been spending more time together as of late. While Garner and Miller are still dating, the notion that they’re headed down the aisle isn’t accurate. Much of the actress’s focus has also been on her kids and her career.

Additionally, the unreliable tabloid has already proven to have little insight into the actress’s personal life. Back in 2017, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for wrongly reporting that Garner and Affleck were getting back together and renewing their vows. The ex-spouses never reunited and instead finalized their divorce the following year.

Back in March, Gossip Cop called out Life & Style’s sister publication, OK!, for falsely claiming Garner was getting married to Miller and was also pregnant with his child. A few months before that, we busted the tabloid’s other sister outlet, the National Enquirer, for wrongly alleging Garner was dumping Miller because he was jealous of her spending time with Affleck. Neither of those conflicting narratives were true.

It’s fairly clear the gossip media doesn’t know much about Garner and Miller’s romance, so the tabloids churn out fiction about the couple instead. There have been several contradictory reports involving weddings, babies and breakups. These various storylines seems to be concocted on a whim. Gossip Cop can confirm there won’t be a wedding at the actress’s house this summer.

Are Kate Middleton and her three kids living with her mom after Prince William admitted to “making a mistake” with Rose Hanbury? That’s the bombshell claim on the cover of one of this week’s celebrity magazines. Gossip Cop, however, can debunk this inaccurate report.

Inside the pages of Star, the tabloid declares in a headline, “Kate Moves Out!” It even maintains Prince William’s “shocking confession” about allegedly cheating on Middleton drove “Kate out of the palace.” To make its article sound legitimate, the publication contends it has an “insider” who fed the outlet details of a supposed conversation between the two royals.

According to the conveniently (placed) unnamed source, Prince William told the Duchess of Cambridge, “He’s been a bit unhappy in the marriage lately.” The prince supposedly added in the private discussion with Middleton, to which the publication was miraculously privy, that he felt they were “losing their spark.” The magazine notes it particularly stung because Middleton is “still dealing with the emotional fallout” from Prince William’s purported affair with Hanbury.

Following Prince William’s “hurtful revelation,” writes the outlet, Middleton “sprang into action” and took their three kids (Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis) to her parents’ home. “She went to her mom’s house… so she and William could have space to breathe.” The tabloid’s tipster alleges the future queen is now having trouble eating and sleeping.

“She just lies in bed worrying about the future,” alleges the so-called “insider,” who explains, “Their marriage hasn’t been the same since the affair story broke.” The purported source asserts, “Kate’s terrified she’ll end up miserable and depressed, just like [Princess] Diana,” who divorced Prince William’s father, Prince Charles, after he cheated on her. Still, the tabloid writes, “Kate’s hoping the move to her parents’ will help reignite the spark.” “Kate hopes that being apart from William will make him realize what he’s missing,” concludes the insider.

It bears mentioning that while several outlets regurgitated the alleged affair claims, no legitimate media organizations have said anything about Middleton fleeing to her parents’ home. Also, lawyers for the royal family have categorically denied Prince William was unfaithful, calling reports about it “false speculation.” Additionally, if there were truly strife between the spouses, and Middleton was staying with her folks, she and Prince William would not have attended a couple of royal events together this past week.

Just five days ago, for example, Middleton was all smiles with Prince William as she showed Queen Elizabeth the garden she designed for the Royal Horticultural Society Garden. Middleton was also laughing and by Prince William’s side at a Garden Party the queen hosted at Buckingham Palace the very next day. It’s clear, the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband are not spending time “apart” or that either of them looks “unhappy” in their marriage.

Gossip Cop is not surprised by the falsity of the publication’s cover story, based on its track record over just the past few months. For instance, we busted the magazine when it wrongly insisted in September that Prince William and Kate Middleton were being crowned the next king and queen by Her Majesty. A month after that phony report, the outlet splashed on its cover that Middleton was 96 pounds and pregnant with her fourth baby.

A couple of months after that bogus tale, the publication tried once more with a cover story that Gossip Cop corrected about Middleton being pregnant with another baby girl. Unfortunately, the magazine births a lot of inaccurate articles. But the truth, which the tabloid seems to have little regard for, is that Middleton and her kids have not moved out and living separate from Prince William following the cheating rumors.

Star’s sister magazine made the same claim a month ago. It wasn’t right then, and it’s no more true now. As Gossip Cop has said before, the only ones truly getting cheated on are the readers of that tabloid.

Last week, Sarah Jessica Parker took to Instagram to slam the National Enquirer for planning a story about her marriage to Matthew Broderick being in trouble. Despite the actress shutting down the false rumors, the tabloid ignored her and still ran the bogus report in its latest issue.

Last Thursday, Parker posted a screenshot on Instagram of an email she received from the publication, which requested a comment about a so-called “public screaming match” between her and Broderick in London. In its email, the magazine claimed to have learned from a “witness” that the spouses’ fight “erupted” during dinner, and continued on the street where Parker supposedly got in Broderick’s face for how much time he spends in London. The actor is currently overseas starring in the play The Starry Messenger.

The email was sent just days before the couple’s 22nd wedding anniversary on May 19, prompting the actress to respond, “Just like clockwork. Over a decade of the same untrue, disgraceful nonsense.” She referred to the Enquirer’s planned article as “its annual best effort to fabricate and undermine” her marriage. She added, “There was no ‘screaming match’ as alleged in a restaurant or on the street, nor was there a confrontation as alleged about his time in London.” Parker also made clear, “My children and I are enormously proud of the work he is doing.”

The actress went on to speculate that the outlet would publish its phony story anyway, adding, “After much thought I have decided to share a typical letter of ‘inquiry’ from these people. As if the truth, a response or any comments from me or my publicist had any bearing on what they threaten to ‘report.’”

Unfortunately, the actress’s theory was correct since a headline in the latest issue of the magazine reads, “Unhappy Anniversary, Sarah & Matthew!” The accompanying article details a (nonexistent) fight that allegedly started with the spouses “arguing with each other over the table” at dinner. A supposed source is quoted as saying, “Sarah looked sad and strained and was being aggressive.”

The alleged insider goes on to say Parker and Broderick took their “argument” to the street, where “they were talking about living apart and the amount of time Matthew was spending in London to do theater work.” The misinformed “witness” adds, “While Matthew’s off pursuing his artistic dreams, Sarah feels like she’s left to try and hold the family and kids together. The strain is obviously starting to show.”

As Parker herself already made clear, this alleged incident never occurred. In fact, she even added in her initial Instagram post, “Hey National Enquirer and your sister publications, why not celebrate a marriage of 22 years and relationship of 27 years? Because, despite your endless harassment and wasted ink, we are nearing 3 decades of love, commitment, respect, family and home.” A few days later, Parker took to Instagram again to celebrate her anniversary with Broderick.

It’s worth noting, Gossip Cop busted the publication last July for falsely claiming Parker and Broderick were “living separate lives” and headed for a split. The premise wasn’t true last year, and it’s no more accurate now, despite the tabloid ignoring a denial from the actual person at the center of the story.

In the world of the tabloids, Sandra Bullock is frequently getting pregnant and adopting more babies. In reality, the actress has two kids and hasn’t expanded her family. Gossip Cop has compiled a few wrong rumors claiming otherwise.

In January, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Bullock was pregnant with a “miracle baby” at 54-years-old. According to the outlet, the actress and her boyfriend Bryan Randall were expecting a child after “two years of trying, and six months of IVF treatments.” The magazine even maintained that Bullock had a “baby bump” while promoting her Netflix movie Bird Box in Brazil. The story was based on claims from an anonymous “source,” but the actress’s own rep dismissed it.

Last November, Gossip Cop called out Star for making up a story about Bullock being pregnant with her boyfriend’s baby. The outlet contended that the actress had been backing out of social gatherings and “avoiding alcohol” if she did go out. The unreliable magazine had no idea how far along Bullock was in her supposed pregnancy, but insisted an “official announcement” would be coming soon. No such announcement ever came and that’s because the actress wasn’t expecting a child. As we noted at the time, Bullock has been known to mock pregnancy rumors. She once said in an interview, “In one tabloid I was two months pregnant, and in another I was four months pregnant.”

In April 2018, Gossip Cop debunked a Life & Style article claiming Bullock was pregnant with her first biological child. The outlet asserted that the actress wasn’t planning on getting pregnant, but she and her boyfriend were delighted when it happened. A so-called “insider” told the tabloid that Bullock broke the news to her two kids, who “squealed with glee” at the prospect of getting another sibling. The actress’s spokesperson promptly shot down the report as being “absolutely false.”

Also last year, Gossip Cop busted OK! for wrongly reporting that Bullock was adopting a third child. The publication claimed the actress’s boyfriend was helping her with the adoption process, but provided zero details about what the process entailed. Still, a suspicious tipster insisted, “Sandra’s been aching to adopt again, and she’s thrilled that Bryan will be a part of it.” Like the stories mentioned above, a rep qualified to speak on Bullock’s behalf confirmed it was untrue. All of these baby rumors have also been disproven by the passage of time.

Is Felicity Huffman’s marriage to William H. Macy “falling apart” as she faces prison time for her role in the college admissions cheating scandal? That’s the story in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop can set the record straight.

Macy didn’t accompany his wife to court on May 13 when she pleaded guilty to the fraud charges against her for paying $ 15,000 to have her daughter’s SAT scores boosted. The actor’s absence was enough for In Touch to decided the couple is headed for a split. A supposed source tells the magazine, “William not being there clearly spells trouble for the marriage.” The alleged insider further contends Huffman will be all “alone” while facing the possibility of being sent to prison.

Just last month, however, Macy’s rep told us on the record that he and Huffman aren’t headed for a divorce over her legal troubles. People magazine, a much more reputable publication than In Touch, similarly noted Huffman and Macy “remain united” following her guilty plea. It’s also worth noting, Huffman and her husband were photographed holding hands while arriving at a Los Angeles courthouse in March.

Gossip Cop has reached out to the actor’s spokesperson for more information about why he wasn’t able to attend his wife’s most recent court appearance, but the reason has nothing to do with the state of their marriage. Earlier this month, in fact, Huffman and Macy were photographed hiking together in Los Angeles. The spouses of more than 20 years aren’t headed for a split.

Back in March, Gossip Cop busted In Touch’s sister publication, Life & Style, for falsely claiming Huffman and Macy were getting a divorce over the college admissions cheating scandal. The premise wasn’t true two months ago, and it’s no more accurate now that there have been new developments in the case. Last month, we called out the magazine’s other sister outlet, the National Enquirer, for wrongly reporting Macy was divorcing Huffman following her guilty plea in the scandal.

Earlier this month, Gossip Cop also debunked a Star article claiming Macy was putting his acting career on hold to save his marriage. That story was provably untrue. In addition to the actor’s relationship with his wife not being in trouble, Macy is gearing up to start shooting the 10th season of his Showtime series “Shameless.” Huffman’s husband has been supporting her amid the controversy. These countless stories alleging otherwise aren’t accurate.
