American Ultra Trailer: Jesse Eisenberg Kills To Protect Kristen Stewart (VIDEO)

American Ultra has its first trailer! The almost three-minute clip was released on Thursday, and shows Jesse Eisenberg’s character unleashing some serious butt-kicking skills on a few men sent to kill him and his girlfriend, played by Kristen Stewart. Watch the trailer below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Eisenberg and Stewart play stoner lovers in American Ultra. The plot centers around Eisenberg’s character Mike Howell desperately trying to propose to his girlfriend Phoebe. Of course, nothing goes as planned, and what’s supposed to be a romantic night out on the town turns into an evening filled with bombs blowing up cars, bloody lips, and lots of fighting.

“I just killed two people,” a panicked Mike tells Phoebe over the phone at one point in the trailer. She responds, “That’s awesome.” Clearly, Phoebe doesn’t realize her boyfriend is serious, but she quickly learns he’s actually a trained killer and a sleeper agent. In the NSFW trailer, viewers also see Stewart’s character doing a little bit of butt-kicking of her own.

As Gossip Cop noted when the posters for American Ultra were released earlier this month, director Nima Nourizadeh promised that while the film definitely has its share of non-stop action, it’s also a “sweet love story” between Stewart and Eisenberg’s characters.
