The actor has sparked speculation he’s set to marry girlfriend Sophie Hunter — after he flew to Edinburgh last week to see her mother.
Benedict and Sophie have gone to great lengths to avoid being seen together in public since they first met in 2009, but broke cover recently to appear arm-in-arm at the wedding of the actor’s old school pal, James Rhodes.
Sophie is said to be close to her mother Anna after her parents divorced when she was a child. While the couple were in Edinburgh, I hear they toured the Royal Botanic Garden.
“It’s serious,” a source said.
“We expect the pair to be engagement imminently.”
