Britney Spears is NOT dating Jason Trawick’s best friend Cade Hudson, despite speculation. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.

On Saturday, the generally reliable TMZ posted photos of Spears “playing grabsees” with Hudson at Las Vegas’ XS nightclub. The pictures show the pair together at a massive party, with one shot featuring Spears seemingly hugging Hudson from behind. TMZ used the pictures to speculate about whether they were getting “romantic,” saying they “generally looked pretty intimate.”

TMZ further called the sighting “an interesting liaison,” and wrote, “the ‘bro code’ clearly has a statute of limitations … or at least it should.” But Gossip Cop has exclusively learned that it’s actually not as “interesting” as the site’s story implies. Spears is NOT scandalously moving on with her ex-fiancé’s BFF.

Want to know why? Hudson is openly GAY. “They are good friends and have been,” Gossip Cop is exclusively told. In fact, a simple Google search shows Spears and Hudson have been hanging out platonically for years. He even came on stage for one of the star’s concerts back in 2011.

Spears and Trawick, of course, called off their engagement back in 2013. This should barely count as a new chapter in their saga, and everyone should cancel the Spears – Hudson “new couple alerts” accordingly.
