Jenna Talackova, the controversial transgender beauty made history as she competed in the Miss Universe Canada pageant. She was the first ever transgender to ever be included in the prestigious competition.

Last March, she was surrounded with controversies when she was kicked out from the pageant. This stirred up discrimination protests and finally the Miss Universe organization allowed Jenna to participate again.

She competed with 62 other women last night inTorontoand ramped on stage in front of a panel consisting of 15 judges. Final verdict for the winner will be announced on Friday.

The 23-year-old was born male but had gone through sex change four years ago. From the Miss Universe Canada website, it was clearly stated that the requirements to be able to join the pageant is for the participant to be a Canadian citizen from 18-27 years of age. Therewasn’tanything that said about sexual reassignment surgery.

Don’t start speculating on Jennifer Lopez‘s replacement just yet.

Contrary to reports, the “American Idol” judge says she doesn’t know whether she will leave the show after the current season.

“There is no truth to reports that say I am definitely leaving ‘Idol,’” Lopez tweeted Thursday night, hours after the show’s final two contestants were revealed.

The singer, who was just named the most powerful celebrity in the world, went on to clarify, “All I said was I haven’t decided what I am doing next year.”

“When I know for sure what I’m doing I will let the #LOVE!RS know,” she added.

Anyone hoping that Katie Price and Simon Cowell would take their rumored-fling and make it into something more are going to be disappointed, because it appears that the UK glamour model/reality fixture has become engaged for the third time…to her Argentinian model boyfriend, Leandro Penna!

The pair were spotted out and about in London this past week, with Jordan wearing a massive pink engagement ring, and her spokesman confirms:

“Its true they are engaged. Leandro proposed to Katie while they were away skiing recently and she said yes. They told her children but had intended to keep it secret for a while. No wedding arrangements have been made and they are both quite relaxed about that for the time being.”

Well of course no arrangements have been made – she still isn’t completely divorced from her second husband, Alex Reid!

But hey! If they’re happy – and don’t mind exchanging vows with translators – then who are we to judge?

Jennifer Lopez is exploring the idea of “having a surrogate child” with Casper Smart, reports OK!

According to the mag, “The idea to go the surrogacy route came after the couple visited Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, whose 15-month-old daughter, Faith, was carried by a surrogate.”

A supposed “insider” for the tabloid says, “She’s looking into a gestational carrier pregnancy,” noting, “Jennifer’s getting older, but she loves the idea of using her DNA and Casper’s DNA, but having a surrogate do the nine months of work.”

Smart has even supposedly “recruited his aunt to help find a candidate,” reveal OK!s “sources.”

One of these alleged insiders claims, “Casper’s favorite aunt lives in Australia, and she thinks her nephew’s surrogate could come from there.”

Um… why Australia?

And how come they’re going through Smart’s aunt?

If these “details” about the couple’ alleged surrogacy plan seem a bit odd, it’s because the mag’s entire story is made up.

A rep for Lopez tells Gossip Cop the tab’s tale is simply “inaccurate.”

Phillip Phillips brought his A-game to Wednesday’s “American Idol,” his last chance to prove he deserves to be in the finale.

The former pawn shop worker put his own twist on songs like the Four Seasons “Beggin’,” Matchbox Twentys “Disease” and Bob Seegers “We’ve Got Tonight.”

Though the judges were mostly negative about “Disease,” they loved “We’ve Got Tonight” and gave Phillips a standing ovation.

Randy Jackson even called it Phillips’ best “American Idol” performance yet.

Yes, breakups can be difficult.

But c’mon! Time to move on! This tortured soul bit isn’t really going to get you anywhere. Let’s try a different angle to get your career started again, okay?
