Celebrities React: Carrie Fisher Suffers Heart Attack

Carrie Fisher suffered a massive heart attack Friday afternoon on a flight from London to Los Angeles, and celebrities are now reacting and sending prayers to the actress on Twitter. See stars’ tweets below.

As Gossip Cop reported, Fisher went into cardiac arrest on an airplane, resulting in an on-board EMT attempting CPR on the actress. She was rushed to a L.A. hospital as soon the plane landed. One celebrity sending well-wishes to the actress is William Shatner, who tweeted, “I ask everyone to stop for a moment and send special thoughts to @carrieffisher.”

MMA fighter CM Punk similarly expressed, “Positive thoughts for @carrieffisher,” while an upset Patton Oswalt stated, “GODDAMIT 2016 ENOUGH ALREADY.” Meanwhile, Fisher’s Star Wars co-star Peter Mayhew, who portrayed Chewbacca in the franchise, said, “Thoughts and prayers for our friend and everyone’s favorite princess right now.” And Vivica A. Fox said, “OMG! Prayers are with you dawling! Stay strong @carrieffisher.”

Christina Applegate offered, “So much love being sent to you @carrieffisher.” Josh Gad wrote, “No. No. No. Praying for #CarrieFisher.” And Graham Norton conveyed, “@carrieffisher Don’t even think about it!! This planet needs you on it! Sending so much love xxx.”

Fisher’s Force Awakens co-star Gwendoline Christie wrote, “The whole world is sending you so much love! Sending you the universes most powerful Force XXXXX.” Courtney Love offered, “send love prayers and the kitchen sink to my sister @carrieffisher.” And 50 Shades of Grey author E.L.
