Celebrities are reacting on Twitter to the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Mexico City on Tuesday, resulting in dozens of deaths and extensive destruction. Hollywood stars are now sending their prayers and condolences to the victims. See tweets below.

Nearly 50 people have been reported killed across the country, including 42 in the state of Morelos, which is located near the epicenter of the quake. Unfortunately, the death toll is expected to rise as rescuers continue to search for people trapped beneath the rubble. The devastating earthquake struck around 100 miles from Mexico City, but the tremor was so powerful it caused widespread damage in the capital.
