CLAIM: Beckhams Are “Pouring Money Down The Drain”

“The Beckhams have culled their staff by a third,” claims The Sun about Victoria and David Beckham.

Why the drastic cuts?

According to the British paper, the couple was “warned” by an accountant that they are “pouring money down the drain” due to their lavish lifestyle.

In fact, after supposedly consulting with a financial expert, “Posh was told they wasted hundreds of thousands a year on surplus staff.”

Consequently, “Sizeable cuts were proposed at the Beckingham Palace home in Sawbridgeworth, Herts,” just 30 miles northwest of London.

The paper goes on to detail the 14 positions that were cut, including “a cleaner who worked there for eight years.”

So are the Beckhams just insensitive, or were the “cutbecks” – as The Sun mockingly called them – the result of the couple being hard up for cash?

Neither.

A source close to the couple tells Gossip Cop this “story is way off the mark,” emphasizing that it’s a “complete exaggeration and fabrication.”

How so?

While it’s true the Beckhams have made some staffing changes, the reason has nothing to do with their spending habits.

Rather, it directly relates to the fact that the family now lives in the United States.

Sounds like The Sun could use a few more checks and balances.
