Here’s what some of the big winners at the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards had to say backstage…

Chris Colfer Best Supporting Actor in TV Series or Mini-Series (“Glee”)

“I feel like a cinderfella tonight,” he gushed.

Colfer says he was “shocked” that he won.

“Hope the LAPD will let me off with a warning cuz I’m gonna go crazy tonight,” Colfer said about his plans for a post-show celebration.

On what he’ll do with his award: “I think I will sleep with it”

Special shout-outs: Colfer gave special thanks to his high school speech/debate teacher, Mckendra McCoy.

Christian Bale Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture (The Fighter)

On host Ricky Gervais ripping stars in the audience: ”It’s what he’s meant to do… He’s fantastic… I hope he keeps going further.”

Al Pacino Best Actor – Mini Series or TV Motion Picture (You Don’t Know Jack)

On his role in the film: ”It is an advantage to be able to play a real character…it gives you access…it stimulates your imagination because you you feel a kind of credibility when you play a real person.”

On being asked if he thinks Ricky Gervais is going too far: “He’s a comic. So he’s out there letting it go. That’s the only way he can really get his own wit because he needs to uncensor himself. If he censors himself, he’s going to curtail his wit.”

On what he’ll do with his award: He keeps them in different places around the house “like paintings.”

Claire Danes – Best Actress – TV Miniseries or Movie (Temple Grandin)

Her beauty secrets: “You have to behave. You have to eat well and sleep and exercise…and a little blush also goes a long way.”

On her next role in Showtime’s “Homeland”: “I play a CIA officer who also happens to have bipolar disorder.”

On what she’d do if she weren’t in showbiz: “I think about it a lot… Maybe a psychologist, maybe a graphic designer… Hopefully I won’t have to find out.”

Robert DeNiro – Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award

Why he’s not carrying his award backstage: “The top fell off…they have to solder it back on.”

On his career: “I’ve been very fortunate as an actor…No complaints.”

His acting inspirations: Marlon Brando, James Dean, Montgomery Clift.

On directing: It’s “a lot more work, a lot more of a commitment… It’s wearing.”

Ryan Murphy – Best TV Series – Comedy or Musical (“Glee”)

On the “rumor” that Jane Lynch is a bigger diva on set than Lea Michele, Murphy said: “I think I’m the diva.”

On the possibility of Anne Hathaway guest starring on the show: We’re “definitely interested.”

On what to expect when “Glee” returns in February: Paul McCartney songs!

Paul Giamatti - Best Actor – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical (Barney’s Version)

“It’s nice [to win] but I know those guys…I never think I’m gonna win.”

On who he thinks should have won: “Johnny Depp… he’s a great-looking guy.”

About Halle Berry, who presented the award to him: “She could wear a heft cinch sack and look pretty good.”

Shout-outs: “I planned to talk about Dustin Hoffman… What an idiot” (he was for forgetting to thank Hoffman).

Annette Bening - Best Actress – Film Comedy or Musical (The Kids Are All Right)

Bening says she asked her husband Warren Beatty this morning about his first time at the Globes. He said he went in 1962 when he won “Most Promising Actor.”
