Ian Somerhalder was welcomed to Shanghai with a personalized “Vampire Diaries”-themed display of roses in his hotel room.

The actor, who plays Damon Salvatore on the hit show, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a photo of his decorated hotel room, featuring a large heart and the words “Welcome” and “Damon” written in rose petals.
Somerhalder, who earlier in the day cut his hand, tweeted, “Okay, post-emergency Room in Shanghai- The ONLY way to check in to a hotel… Thank you to this staff for making me feel insanely loved! So cool.”
Looks like the flowers cheered him up!
