Jennifer Lawrence has been very smart about picking her projects lately.

It seems like everything she does either becomes a huge hit franchise, like X-Men or The Hunger Games or gets her an Oscar nomination, like American Hustle.

Well rumor has it she could be flirting with the idea of a very different kind of role. A downright Hateful one!

J.Law is rumored to be in talks to star in Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming Western The Hateful Eight!

It’s likely she would be taking over the role of Daisy Domergue (played WONDERFULLY by Amber Tamblyn in the live read), a half-crazy criminal who’ll do anything to escape a brutal bounty hunter.

There are always so many factors that can keep an actor from doing a project – money, scheduling, previous commitments – so it’s a bit too early for anyone to verify whether this will happen.

But we think it would be right up J.Law’s alley! She’s played unstable, dangerous, and violent before! Now she just has to put ’em all together!

Of course, with Quentin’s liberal use of language, we could see a harsher Jennifer than we’ve ever seen before.

But that could mean yet another statue in her future!
